Fresh from his days at U19 WC - looks very confident from ball 1!

Early days but poor shot selection
Over eager? wanted to please everyone.
Yes but kami should have gone to him after the first ball or the management before he came out
Drop him for that.
Yes, let's drop a dynamic young player for making one mistake, so that he becomes another cookie cutter Pakistan batsmen who struggles to score at a SR greater than 85.
Drop him for that.
Haider Ali should play every single game. He will blossom. However I feel like he can be a much more successful Test/ODI than T20 batsman

He’s approach to the game is very Umar akmalesque![]()
Another Shahzad in making to be honest. Instead of focusing on building an inning, he wants to be glamorous.
Unfair to play him over much deserving Umer Amin.
As said in the match thread and other threads before, he is on of the best young talents we have had in quite a few years. How much works he puts and and what kind of trajectory his career takes would totally depend on him but he has the natural ingredients to succeed in all 3 formats.
There is some potential in this guy. Maybe only Rohail Nazir is better?
But needs to learn a lot. It's not all about big boundaries in T20 cricket. There is a fine line between becoming a Babar or a Shehzad. Hope he chooses wisely.
The U-19 World Cup showed that he was the only player in the side with international potential, and the two PSL matches so far reaffirm that viewpoint.
However, he needs a lot of work but there is a semblance of hope that he can be successful in international cricket.
Based on these two innings I don't rate him, he's so bottom handed. Terrible performance
Huraira was better than Haider

Haider Ali is gifted with hand-eye combination. This lad needs to be worked on closely by management, I wish Mickey Arthur was around at this point in time as I thought his potential could have been maximised under him rather than Misbah.
In any case he is not yet ready for internationals certainly. Someone needs to work closely with him and put him on a plan to make him more fitter, agile and help with his overall fielding ground and aerial. Further, he definitely needs to play longer version of the game domestically to ensure he develops his temperament.
He can go down 2 routes. One is where he can develop his batting discipline, temperament and respect for bowlers and eventually go down as a decent Pakistani cricketer. The other is he wants to be a showman and have a fan base of lusty shots, this way he will be popular no doubt but not the cricketer Pakistan cricket needs.
Time is on his side, but he needs to cut out the wild slogs or they will become a bad habit and in cricket bad habits are difficult to eradicate.
Whilst he played some excellent shots today, there were also some very average slogs.
I don't want to be too harsh on the kid, but he needs to get rid of the slogs.
It feels extra amazing since he's a batsman.
PCB please put him at the top of your list and look after this kid.
Wait, Akmal fans told us all that we don't have anyone better than his 22 average and 119 SR????
Here's your opener for Pak T20 squad and we're only into the 8th game of PSL. Wait till the end I'll give you two more options which will be much better than K Akmal.Today he's playing proper cricketing shots.
And looks SO AMAZING.
Needs to be be taken under the NCA wings. Probably even with LOI squads.

against short pitch needs mass improvement otherwise he is a decent talentPCB already knows this. Wasim Khan has publicly spoken about him as the next prodigy. Pakistan rarely earmarks batting talents at an early stage, Babar was identified at age 13 -- Haider will be protected.
