How humiliating and embarrassing has Operation 'Sindoor' been for India and PM Modi in terms of their image?

Indian technology is too powerful, we Can't compete with these Aryan warriors, we should just surrender already.

India acknowledges massive losses in 'Operation Sindoor', decides to honour downed troops

Bowing before mounting internal pressure, the Indian government has now acknowledged “massive loss” of its military personnel in Operation Sindoor and decided to honour 100 of those troops, including four fighter pilots and five operators of the Russian defense system, killed by Pakistan armed forces.

India launched missiles attack on Pakistan on May 7 on a false pretext of Islamabad’s involvement in the killing of tourists in Pahalgam area of its occupied Kashmir in April. During the four-day war, Pakistan’s armed forces, including air force and navy, inflicted heavy losses on India.

Fearing internal backlash, the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi tried to conceal the losses suffered at the hands of Pakistan's forces. Indian security sources said that in an attempt to avoid humiliation, the government initially hid the losses suffered during the operation. However, due to mounting internal pressure, the Indian government has acknowledged the loss of life and now been forced to award its military personnel.

According to reports, India lost more than 250 soldiers along the Line of Control (LoC). These included seven members of the Indian Air Force, five personnel of the 10th Infantry Brigade at G-Top, and nine soldiers from the Headquarters of the 93rd Infantry Brigade — all of whom are now being awarded posthumously.

Four Indian Air Force pilots will also be awarded medals, including three pilots of Rafale fighter jets. Among those to be honored are five operators of the advanced S-400 air defense system who were killed at Adampur Airbase, nine other personnel posted at Udhampur Airbase and its Air Defense Unit, two personnel killed at the Rajouri Aviation Base, and four soldiers including the Officer Commanding of the Uri Supply Depot.

According to international media, India was forced into a ceasefire, brokered by US President Donald Trump, following effective Pakistani strikes on Pathankot, Udhampur, and other strategic military locations. Multiple Indian generals and diplomatic representatives have acknowledged these losses, which included destruction of bases and Rafale fighter jets.

Indian security sources revealed that the government also pressured the families of the dead soldiers not to share photographs of their loved ones on social media so that disgrace and defeat could be concealed.

Ironically, in 2019, Wing Commander Abhinandan was given five awards, including the Vir Chakra, after his aircraft was shot down by Pakistan Air Force.

Defense experts say that any professional army in the world proudly honours its martyrs and wounded soldiers, but India not only hid its losses, it also refused to acknowledge the sacrifices of its own soldiers — a practice that is considered highly disgraceful and unprofessional for any military.

@Ball Blazer Is this true? I highly doubt the Indian government will ever acknowledge the loss of lives in Operation Sindoor. I truly feel for those soldiers and their families. The very least they deserve from the nation they served is recognition of their martyrdom. :inti

Chaiwala Modi thought he could hide information and world would believe him.

Apart from low-IQ bhakts, nobody believed them. :inti

Looks like Indian military got smashed hard. Lost 250+ soldiers! I now understand why they were so eager for a ceasefire.

It seems like there was a massive internal pressure to disclose.

Next time chaiwala starts a war, maybe he should send in bhakts to the frontline (instead of innocent soldiers). :inti

More than 250 Indian soldiers 'killed' in Operation Sindoor at LoC

Indian authorities have attempted to downplay the extent of the damage against Pakistan
The Indian military is under immense domestic pressure for refusing to publicly acknowledge the high number of casualties suffered during Operation Sindoor, sources revealed.

According to sources, more than 250 Indian soldiers were killed along the Line of Control (LoC) during the operation.

Despite these heavy losses, Indian authorities have persistently attempted to downplay the extent of the damage.

In what appears to be an effort to silently honour the fallen while avoiding public scrutiny, India has reportedly decided to confer awards on over 100 of the deceased soldiers.

The list of awardees includes three Rafale pilots and four pilots in total. Additionally, seven personnel from the Indian Air Force and five fallen soldiers from the 10 Infantry Brigade's G-Top post have been named for recognition.

At the Headquarters of the 93 Infantry Brigade, nine more fallen soldiers will reportedly receive military honors.

Sources also confirmed that five operators of the advanced S-400 defense system, killed at the Adampur Airbase, are among those being awarded posthumously.

Multiple Indian generals and diplomatic sources have been compelled to acknowledge the losses, including the destruction of key bases and damage to the Rafale fighter jets, despite earlier denials.

There are also reports of pressure on the families of the deceased soldiers not to share photographs or personal stories of their loved ones on social media, as the Indian government continues to control the narrative surrounding the operation.

Despite repeated confirmations from independent Indian and international media, the Modi administration has consistently denied losses at sensitive sites such as the Pathankot and Udhampur bases, sources added.

The awarding of honors to the fallen, while publicly avoiding discussion of the losses, paints a picture of India struggling to manage both the military setback and the information fallout from Operation Sindoor.

Whether it's 250, 150, or 50, the number doesn't matter. If soldiers have died, the Indian government should openly acknowledge their sacrifice. It's the least a nation can do for those who gave their lives, instead of worrying about political point-scoring or upcoming elections. :inti

True they should but the fact that they have not made any official statement, I have no reason to disbelief my govt. Since you tagged us wanting our opinion based on a publication from Dunya news and Samaa tv, I was just reminding you how much we should trust them.

Pakistan has lost the war badly and cooking up stories every other day to make themselves feel better. First it was 20 jets downed, now its 250 soldiers dead...etc. Yes, India lost all of that but Pakistan somehow miraculously accpted cease fire 4 hours after launching Operation Bunyan Marsoos. These guys thinks everyone else is as stupid as them.

Some within India will still not trust and continue to believe in Samaa news. As if they care so much about lives of Indian soliders. Ufff this dramebaazi and natak. Makes me laugh and puke at the same time.

The fact check is that no body literally no body can verify the claims of attack and defense of both countries against each other unless after few months something got leaked by relevant person.
Not true..the Indian satellite images and the social media posts within Pakistan plus sky news visited the damaged terror HQ..these are conclusive evidence from Indian side...I have yet to see a single conclusive evidence from pak side...I'm sure China has better satellites than India and can show damaged hangars runways or wreckage...NYT has already stated damage on Indian side Is minimal after reviewing maxar images...and the truth is coming out now on the air engagement..but India can't be on record as Sindoor 2.0 is under preparation

Yea just pak doesn’t bribe external satellite companies to manipulate the evidence, trust me your current government can do at any extent for face saving.

When BrahMos hit Nur Khan base, we had 30 seconds ...': Top Pak official reveals how India stoked Islamabad's fears

A top Pakistani government official has indirectly admitted that India's BrahMos missile strike on the strategic Nur Khan airbase marked a turning point in the four-day military conflict, adding that the attack may have even led to a full blown nuclear war.

Rana Sanaullah Khan, who serves as the special assistant to Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, claimed during an interview that US President Donald Trump's intervention helped avoid a nuclear war in the region.

"When India fired ... Harmus (BrahMos) and it struck our Nur Khan airbase. The Pakistani government had just 30-45 seconds to analyse whether the missile has any atomic payload. To make such a decision in just 30 seconds is a dangerous thing," he said.

Khan then resorted to the familiar Pakistani fearmongering, saying that India's strike could have led to a misunderstanding that it was a nuclear attack on his country. Notably, India has no-first use policy for its nuclear weapons.

"I am not saying that India was right in not sending a nuclear payload. But it could have created a misunderstanding leading to catastrophic nuclear war. You cannot imagine the destruction that could have followed," he said.

Shivangi is part of 1.4 billion people and thousands of air force men and women .she is doing her duty safe and sound...India doesn't give a **** about social media claims..lmao..why would she be in camera..is she giving interviews ..how many videos of her giving interviews do you find on youtube..if you have proof share it..

The truly pathetic thing is after the Rafale disinformation has now been debunked..indo agree it was clever and India didn't want to divulge the towed dummy trick...this new doctored interviews are so easily debunked...you feel like puking ...but I think the Pak army target is their dumb domestic audience..but problem is that dumb audience is trying to share it to the external folks and that shows up NAPAK army as the pathetic loser it is...never seen a military that loses every war it fights..yet it is revered by the equally pathetic country

Now slowly slowly Pakistan politicians accepting the losses what Indian army claimed. Wait for more days, Pakistan politicicans will do more admissions
I would not say they could deny their losses this time....they were loud and public unlike Balakot where we didn't take images so Pak could block the terrorist camp for 2 months and claim trees were down.. their lies are the ones they make about Indian losses...from the Madrassa software engineer hacking Indian grid, 6 rafales down, s400 battery down, 250 dead, Brahmos depot hit..with zero wreckage zero damage zero videos zero social media..they have literally nothing..even the Iranians after getting pulverized did manage to hit tel Aviv with easily verifiable damage.

But the Chinese missiles in inept non technical hands didn't function well..so no damage on our side.

Why? Because you want to avenge the humiliation?

There is massive full scale upgradation going on of our weapons platforms. Many old weapons going to be decommissioned. Unless the government sees more value in selling them at discounted price to lesser nations, they might just throw some at Pakistan and make Failed Marshal sell some more plots to China. 😛

Hey why don't you ask your Chinese buddy why they are even more afraid to hear the truth..they ban everyone and anyone
.anyhow Indian govt didn't ask for new bans ...they asked for unbanning and Reuters is back on..here Reuters itself covered the story

More likely India will proactively target Saeed or Azhar and it will depend on how Pak responds .let it go or retaliate. Plus action on IWT will also result in a terrorist attack on those facilities with Pak claiming plausible deniability as usual and we all know India will not tolerate terrorism of any kind and there will be a price to pay.

What is the price?

Targeting the perpetrators and handlers of the terrorists in Pakistan and I assume no more distinction between uniformed and non uniformed terrorists
So let me get this straight, India targets civilians, while Pakistan responds by hitting military targets?

And yet, what price did you as an Indian end up paying in the end?

Not civilians..terrorists..
Only when you failed to hit military targets did IAF hit the radar stations and 11 of your bases...

That distinction will no longer hold as Modi has stated.

I don't see us paying any price....damage to our assets were minimal..IWT is revoked..Kashmir is a non issue...the only loss is the senseless killing of pahalgam, martyrdom of 16 soldiers on ground, and the dummy X guards or the lakshya drones. The main lessons learnt is we need better media management

How much does one (three) Rafale cost? 🤔. Probably more than a bit of mud on a runway 👀

How much does one (three) Rafale cost? 🤔. Probably more than a bit of mud on a runway 👀
Let's say paf shot down six jets including three rafales on day 1...that will prove that PAF has massive superiority.
Given pakistans aggressive posture towards India and Kashmir...PAF could and should blast Indian air base dams and other assets to force India to a ceasefire..a ceasefire that is signed with a commitment to sit for talks regarding Kashmir and IWT back to status quo .that's bare minimum for a dominating country to extract ..let's look at few examples...

The few mud that you say is immensely valuable..it says India can hit Pakistan at 11 out of 13 air bases anytime anywhere without any repurcussions...they come with irrefutable satellite images and social media posts by Pakistanis themselves..the actual damage was contained because india did a precise attack with few missiles but the message was if you continue to the next attack will be a saturation attack and the bases will be obliterated..that's why your nuke committed went into a meeting ..later denied and ceasefire calls came from Pakistan...that's the price of few sq m of mud...you don't know but your field marshall knows

Try to stick to reality not your imagination.

There is no completing of next attack, you kill Pakistani civilians you’ll suffer “minimal damage”. If you send missiles like cowards, I’m sure the army will use their own which they have not yet. You tried the escalation thing once already, you were forced into a ceasefire.

We don’t know anything but straighttalk on PP knows everything, typing away furiously from his mums basement. Stop pretending India wasn’t the aggressor who started this conflict.

Lets say One Billion dollar each. Lets say Pakistan shot down all 36 Rafale that are in IAF ... now what ?
You’ll still be writing essays to prove you “won” a war because you’re so desperate after being embarrassed in 2019. That’s the reality.

Yeah, now what? It's easy for you to talk because you are not the one losing money. Imagine if Pakistan shot down your cab, the same one you rely on to earn your rozi roti… then what? :yk :inti

They are used to humiliation. A few Bollywood flicks with attacking Pakistan and speeches from facist Terorrist Modi will get them back on the Bharat Maata chest thumping.

Although it's also been nice to see several rational Indian social media personalities there who have questioned and admitted India losing jets and taking a heavy beating in past month's war

India acknowledges troop losses in Operation Sindoor after internal pressure

Web Desk3:28 PM | July 06, 2025National

Amid mounting internal pressure and public outcry, the Indian government has formally acknowledged the significant losses suffered by its armed forces during Operation Sindoor a military offensive launched against Pakistan on May 7 and announced posthumous honours for over 100 personnel, including fighter pilots and air defense operators.

The operation was triggered by Indian accusations of Pakistan’s involvement in the killing of tourists in Pahalgam, occupied Kashmir a claim Islamabad has strongly denied. The four-day conflict saw intense retaliatory action from Pakistan’s armed forces, resulting in considerable damage to Indian military installations and personnel.

Initially, the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi attempted to conceal the scale of losses to avoid public backlash and diplomatic embarrassment. However, under growing pressure from within the military and public domain, India has now confirmed the deaths of more than 250 soldiers along the Line of Control (LoC).

NCCIA apprehends 2 officials from Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Kahuta
Among the casualties were seven Indian Air Force (IAF) members, including four fighter pilots three of whom flew Rafale jets and five operators of the S-400 air defense system who were killed during Pakistani strikes on Adampur Airbase. Additionally, nine personnel from the Udhampur Airbase and its air defense unit, two at the Rajouri Aviation Base, and four soldiers at the Uri Supply Depot, including the Officer Commanding, are among those being honoured.

Two questions for you..very simple.
You shared Pakistani media.. but let's review it.

Show me a mainstream Indian media covering the following

Formal announcement made by Indian govt as the new article claimed

100 posthumous awards and 4 Rafale pilots name.

I will wait .

It’s on”pause” for some reason, despite India claiming they’ve achieved their objectives.

The resident Indians are entertainment on this forum I have to admit. Every now and then you have to just give them a little dose.
Which dose? Why dnt you try that with me?

I don't see us paying any price....damage to our assets were minimal..IWT is revoked..Kashmir is a non issue...the only loss is the senseless killing of pahalgam, martyrdom of 16 soldiers on ground, and the dummy X guards or the lakshya drones. The main lessons learnt is we need better media management

Media management only works when you actually have something to show.

Controlling the domestic narrative is a walk in the park when you’ve got Godi media doing the heavy lifting.

Let’s be real, it’s religious. If it weren’t, Hindutva wouldn’t be salivating at the chance to start a war over baseless accusations.

India media have already managed every Hindutva.

Here comes another one from the call centres of Mumbai.

Rajdeep, I heard Narendra Modi received another medal today for his heroic services to greeting foreign people with Namastes 🙏 .

Is this true?
Not sure bro....Modi dont work for awards unlike Pak establishment. Remember how Shebaz Sheriff gifted a fake image to Asim Munir while promoting him to failed marshal? 😂

Modi sirf ghar me ghuske....

:kp

Failed Marshal outmatched all your military leaders in one night. Rafales downed, multiple experienced pilots killed, Kashmir issue back in the headlines, India isolated.

I saw a BJP minster today visit ‘Ultapani’ marvelling at the revelation that water flows down a stream 🤣. These are the goons you idolise.
