Babar would’ve been exposed in Pakistan’s 2000s setup - those spinners from that era would’ve chewed him up.

Outside of his century against New Zealand in the 2019 WC, he’s yet to deliver a truly defining white ball innings. Younis Khan, on the other hand, produced multiple standout knocks and captained Pakistan to their only T20 World Cup title.

YK was the far more valuable white ball asset. Babar’s numbers are padded against weaker sides and diluted bowling attacks.

What’s next - Babar’s captaincy was superior to Younis Khan’s?

It’s wild to see just how ineffective Babar looks these days even when most of the bowling attacks he faces are depleted.

The crowd that insists Babar > Younis Khan in white ball cricket clearly haven't gone beyond a surface level glance at the stats. Their argument is so shallow you could just as easily claim Babar is better than Inzamam simply because he’s stacked up more centuries, has a higher average and scored his runs at a faster strike rate.
