you are not making any sense with this post. not that you normally do anyway.

Aren't the chinese wealthier? pak should be able to get more action from chinese.

Perhaps what Pak needs is blessings of Saraswati. you know, get some grey matter.

You are missing the point, Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth, and Pakistan have aligned with China ( wealthier according to your own post) so not sure what part of this is hard to understand for you.

If Islam hatred was there for countries outside it would be for gulf countries too.
Pakistani Establishment will have low funding if they become friends with India.

This doesn't really ring true anymore re: army. They have so many businesses, heck everything from cereals to land, to cement these leeches have dug their fingers in. Establishment had all but done a deal with Modi and India after months of background talks. It was even decided Modi would visit Pakistan and tour all the Hindu sites.

It failed as:

a) Establishment ignored Imran Khan and his government
b) Khan's government warned him if talks failed the establishment would throw him under the bus infront of the people

b) - became true. As establishment threw him under the bus re: Russia tour.

Pakistan, India exchange lists of prisoners

Pakistan and India exchanged on Monday lists of prisoners in each other’s custody through diplomatic channels, in Islamabad and New Delhi.

These lists are exchanged simultaneously, in pursuance of the Consular Access Agreement of 2008 on the 1st of January and 1st of July every year, according to the Foreign Office.

In a statement, it said that Pakistan handed over a list of 254 Indian or believed-to-be-Indian civilian prisoners and fishermen in Pakistani jails. India shared a list of 452 Pakistani or believed-to-be-Pakistani civilian prisoners and fishermen in Indian jails. A list of 38 missing Pakistani defence personnel, believed to be in India’s custody since the wars of 1965 and 1971, was also handed over by Pakistan.

The Government of Pakistan has called for the immediate release and repatriation of all Pakistani prisoners who have completed their sentence in India. A request for special consular access to various believed-to-be-Pakistani prisoners, including the physically - and mentally-challenged prisoners, has been made for expeditious confirmation of their national status, it added.

US Republican Senator Marco Rubio introduced a bill on Friday aimed at bolstering Washington's strategic, diplomatic, economic, and military ties with India, primarily to counter the influence of China.

The bill also calls for requiring a Congressional report on Pakistan’s use of force, including terrorism and proxy groups, against India.

It proposes barring security assistance to Pakistan if it is found to sponsor terrorism against India.

The legislation proposes to treat India with the same status as US allies such as Japan, Israel, South Korea, and NATO allies regarding technology transfers.

Pakistan was declared a major non-NATO ally under Republican President George W Bush's administration in 2004.

Rubio's bill also proposes allowing India to purchase military equipment from Russia for use by New Delhi's armed forces without facing US sanctions.

Furthermore, the bill seeks to expedite excess defence articles to India for two years and to expand International Military Education and Training Cooperation with New Delhi.

It authorises the Secretary of State to enter into a memorandum of understanding with India to increase military cooperation.

USA has a habit of poking nose in every matter.

Dude, your own former President has admitted that Pakistan has sponsored terrorist attacks in India.

Pervez Musharraf 'Pakistan is Always Seen as the Rogue

I suppose you believe this somehow miraculously stopped afterwards although both Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan have confirmed it indirectly.

That's not to say India is innocent either. It's just India has to be a lot more circumspect since the groups they're trying to fund like Baloch separatists don't actually like India. They're fervent Muslims who considers Indians and Hindus kafirs whereas Kashmiri separatists are happy to take Pakistani money.

That said, I doubt this bill is going anywhere. It's just Rubio showing his loyalty to his Indian lobbyist paymasters. For such bills to succeed they have to be pushed by the administration and have support from both sides of the aisle.

We don’t have any relationship with that country and thank the gods for that. As long as the psych of the people that live in Pakistan doesn’t change. Until they don’t learn to be civil and respectful of other cultures and religions. There is no point of engaging them.

what about india sponsoring militants in Balochistan then????
I don't think any Indian will deny that the Indian government is helping fund Baloch separatists. However, that's a relatively small terrorist problem for Pakistan compared to groups like the TTP, Taliban, LeT who would all die rather than accept a paisa from a country like India.

FO spokesperson says there is no plan to reopen trade with India

The Foreign Office spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, stated on Friday that trade with India is not currently on the table. She cited the unchanged situation in the disputed region of Kashmir since the events of 2019, which had led to the initial suspension of trade between the two countries.

Baloch emphasized that the situation remains the same, and there are no ongoing bilateral talks between Pakistan and India regarding the restoration of trade relations.

This statement was made in response to a question about India’s lack of reciprocation to Pakistan’s overtures to restore trade ties. Pakistan had suspended trade with India after the controversial move in August 2019, when India revoked the special status of the Occupied Jammu and Kashmir region.

The leaders of Pakistan’s current Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) government have, on multiple occasions since taking office earlier this year, expressed the Shehbaz Sharif administration’s willingness to reevaluate trade relations with India. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has also emphasized the Pakistani business community’s eagerness to revive trade ties, during a press conference in London on March 23.

The PML-N party has historically championed the economic benefits of normalized trade relations with India. However, a potential resumption of trade, despite the controversial actions taken by India in 2019, could indicate a strategic shift in Pakistan’s approach towards the Kashmir dispute. This shift would prioritize economic interests over the longstanding position on the Kashmir issue.

Referring to a recent incident where four Kashmiri youths were killed by Indian forces in the Doda district of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the spokesperson stated that this incident demonstrates the unlawful and repressive tactics employed by the Indian authorities against the Kashmiri people.

The spokesperson urged the international community to take immediate and decisive action to hold India accountable for its egregious human rights violations in IIOJK and to take steps to protect the rights and freedoms of the Kashmiri people.

She separately noted that Pakistan was “not involved in any mediation” to defuse the situation in the Middle East.

“Pakistan is not a party to these talks in Doha. So we are not in a position to comment on the details of these negotiations,” she said.

Army's tactical drone inadvertently crosses LoC, lands in Pakistan: Sources

A tactical drone of the Indian Army inadvertently crossed the Line of Control (LoC) from Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri sector and landed in Pakistan on Friday, sources told India Today TV. The Pakistan Army reportedly recovered the drone.

The incident occurred at 9:30 am. Sources said the Army drone was engaged in a routine surveillance mission when the incident occurred.

The Indian Army is likely to engage with the Pakistan Army for Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) level talks to address the situation.

The incident came two days after an Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter aircraft faced a technical malfunction resulting in the inadvertent release of an "air store" near the Pokhran firing range in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer district, officials said.

According to officials, the released object was a practice bomb intended for drills in dropping bombs on designated targets. Upon its release, the practice bomb fell in an open area, causing a blast and creating a crater at the impact site near the Pakistan border, they said.

No casualties or damage to property was reported. An investigation was launched to determine the cause of the technical issue that led to the inadvertent release of the air store.

An air store in fighter jets refers to any external equipment or payload that can be attached to the aircraft for various missions.

Modi to 'skip' PM Shehbaz's invitation to SCO Summit in Islamabad

Indian media claimed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will likely skip the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for the Shanghai Corporation Summit (SCO) to be held in Islamabad on October 15 and 16.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended invitations to all heads of government of the SCO member states, including the Indian Prime Minister, following the SCO protocol three days ago.

SAMAA TV reported as of now, there has been no confirmation or denial from India regarding the invitation.

The meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is scheduled for October 15 and 16 in Islamabad.

Shehbaz urges rising above partisan geopolitics

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the 24th summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Astana, Kazakhstan, emphasizing the organization's crucial role in regional peace and security.

On July 4 this year, during his address, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the beauty of Astana, expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by Kazakhstan and underscored the significance of SCO's efforts towards social and economic development in member states as well as its role in maintaining peace and security in the region.

He congratulated Chinese President Xi Jinping on assuming the SCO chairmanship for the upcoming year and commended SCO's initiatives for environmental protection.

Not friendly behaviour from Pakistan side. Disappointing. Brother

Pakistan to invite Indian PM Modi to SCO summit in October— defense minister

Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif confirmed this week that Islamabad would invite Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to this year’s upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.

Pakistan will host the SCO’s Heads of Governments meeting in October. Islamabad currently holds the rotating chairmanship of the SCO Council of Heads of Government, which is the second-highest decision-making forum of the political and security bloc that also includes Russia and China.

Relations between nuclear-armed India and Pakistan have been fraught for years, making visits by senior officials of the two countries to each other’s nations rare. The two neighbors have fought three wars, two of them over the Muslim-majority Himalayan region of Kashmir, which they both claim in full but rule in part.

When asked whether Pakistan will invite Modi to the upcoming SCO summit during an interview with Dawn News on Tuesday, Asif said:

“Yes, certainly. There shouldn’t be any doubt about it.”

Asif noted that India had also invited Pakistan’s then foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari in 2023 to attend an SCO meeting which he had accepted.

The Pakistani defense minister said any country that hosts an SCO summit does not have the “choice” to invite some members and not others.

“If any country imposes such conditions, I think they are inappropriate and the SCO will not accept it either,” Asif explained.

Bhutto-Zardari’s visit to India in 2023 was the first one by a high-profile Pakistani official since then prime minister Nawaz Sharif attended Modi’s swearing-in in 2014 and de facto Pakistani foreign minister Sartaj Aziz went to Amritsar in December 2016 to attend the Heart of Asia conference.

India has for years accused Pakistan of helping separatists who have battled Indian security forces in its part of Kashmir since the late 1980s. Pakistan denies the accusation and says it only provides diplomatic and moral support for Kashmiris seeking self-determination.

Violence in the region has eased recently although the neighbors have not sat down for talks on any major issues in years.

With all due respect, the situation is not conducive right now for Bharatiya PM to visit Pakistan. It is mostly Imran Khan’s fault. He was an immature and anti national leader who rather than acting as a mature statesman resorted to name calling and abusing PM Modi on Twitter for a couple of years relentlessly. It’s damaged the situation severely and with the majority of Pakistani people still remaining extremely disrespectful towards our PM, I hope he gracefully rejects this invite citing exactly the above mentioned reasons.

Obviously I want this to happen.
But onus is on Pakistan to create that kind of a warm and respectful atmosphere.

Nawaz Sharif was our only hope and Pakistanis not allowing him a stable tenure at his peak was their biggest blunder ever.

I think you are from India, so you don't know the situation of corruption of this government in the past and present tenure.
Pm modi does not want to come, that is his own choice.

You might be saying this about Nawaz because he was too much pro-india.

Pakistani maritime agency saves Indian ship crew

The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) successfully rescued 12 crew members of an Indian cargo ship during a coordinated search and rescue operation.

According to a PMSA spokesperson, the operation was launched in response to an email received from the Mumbai Maritime Rescue Coordination Center, which sought assistance in locating the crew of the sinking vessel, Al Peren Pir, in the rough sea.

Ships, boats, and aircraft of the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency were deployed for the operation, ensuring the safe recovery of all 12 crew members.

The spokesperson emphasized that this mission highlights Pakistan’s commitment to maritime safety and its adherence to international conventions governing rescue operations at sea.

The successful rescue underscores the spirit of cooperation and the importance of prioritizing human lives in maritime emergencies.

"Masood Azhar's Speech Exposes Pak's Duplicity": India's Stern Response

India on Friday demanded that Pakistan act against terrorist Masood Azhar, chief of banned terrorism group Jaish-e-Mohammed and the mastermind behind terror strikes like the 2011 Parliament attack.

The strong statement followed reports of a public speech by Azhar - his first in 21 years - at an Islamic seminary in Bahawalpur in Pakistan's Punjab province, in which he reportedly vowed to continue attacks on India and used a derogatory word for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Referring to reports of Azhar's speech, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, at a scheduled press briefing, also pointed out that it, if true, "had exposed Pakistan's duplicity" in containing terrorist outfits and terrorists operating from its soil to launch cross-border attacks.

"Masood Azhar is involved in cross-border terror attacks in India. We demand strong action be taken against him, so he is brought to justice. There has been a denial that he is not there in Pakistan... but, if the reports are correct, then it exposes the duplicity of Pakistan," Mr Jaiswal told reporters.

In his outrageous speech Azhar reportedly also called Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a "mouse", and declared his intention to step up terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.

The speech was reportedly delivered sometime in November.

Azhar is among India's most-wanted terrorists.

In September 2019 India branded Azhar and another Pak-based terrorist, Lashkar-e-Taiba founder Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, as 'individual terrorists' under the stringent anti-terror law UAPA.

Apart from the attack on Parliament in 2001, in which two security personnel were killed, he is also linked to strike on Central Reserve Police Force personnel in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama in 2019.

He also orchestrated an attack on the Indian consulate in Afghanistan's Mazar-e-Sharif in 2016.

In August 2020, after more than a year of demanding Pak admit its responsibility for the Pulwama terror attack, the Indian government slammed its neighbour for continuing to shelter Azhar.

Anurag Srivastava, then the MEA spokesperson, had said, "Jaish-e- Mohammed claimed responsibility for the Pulwama attack. The organisation and its leadership are in Pakistan and it is regrettable Masood Azhar, the first accused, continues to find shelter in that country."

In January of this year, social media posts - apparently from Pakistan-based users - declared that Masood Azhar had died in a bomb blast while returning from a mosque.

A fact-check, however, confirmed the news as fake. The photo of the blast that allegedly killed Azhar was found to have first been posted five years ago in an unrelated explosion.

An Indian woman who says she was trafficked to Pakistan more than two decades ago has finally returned home - 18 months after her grandson spotted her in a YouTube video

Hamida Banu said she had spent the last 22 years "as a living corpse", trapped in the neighbouring country and unable to contact her family.

Ms Banu was tricked into going to Pakistan after accepting what was supposed to be a job in Dubai back in 2002.

Both India and Pakistan - which share a frosty bilateral relationship - conducted extensive checks on her identity before her Indian nationality was confirmed in October.

"I was deceitfully taken to Pakistan by promising Dubai. I tolerated [the separation] for 23 years," the 75-year-old told journalists after crossing into India at a land border.

Hamida Banu: Missing India woman found in Pakistan 'can't wait to go home'
Back in 2002, Ms Banu financially supported her four children after her husband's death by working as a cook in Qatar, Dubai and Saudi Arabia.

She was approached by a recruitment agent who said she could help arrange a job in Dubai. The agent asked her to pay 20,000 rupees ($250; £200).

But, as Ms Banu recalled in her 2022 video interview, instead of Dubai, she was brought to Hyderabad city in Pakistan and was detained in a house for three months.

She later married a street vendor in Karachi, who died during the Covid-19 pandemic. She told BBC Punjabi that her husband never troubled her.

Her story made headlines in July 2022 after Indian journalist Khalfan Shaikh happened to watch the YouTube interview conducted by Pakistani social media activist Waliullah Maroof and shared it on his platform.
