1) Travis Head
2) Rachin Ravindra
3) Rassie Van der Dussan
4) Steve Smith (I think he'll be back to his best)
5) Henrich Klaseen
6) Jos Butler
7) Ravindra Jadeja
8) Rashid Khan
9) Mitchell Starc
10) Jasprit Bumrah( If Available)/ Jofra Archer
11) Rabada

12) Jaiswal (Excluded cause i don't think he'll play, gill, rohit and kohli will be the combo)
13) Lungi Ngidi
14) Adam Zampa
15) Glenn Maxwell

Going by this team , looks like 1st Rd exit for Pakistan
Where do you think any Pakistani player will fit in? Ofcourse I'm not a guru, maybe rizwan and babar are top scorers of ct and hence will make the list, but atm where do you think they fit in?

Saud shakeel hasn't played an odi since wc 2023, Fakhar hasn't either.

Babar's form has declined, Rizwan is outmatched by Butler and Klaseen in odi.

Kamran ghulam, Agha and Tayyab (Less said the better)

Shaheen, Naseem, Rauf and Abrar don't have a chance. Maybe abrar might make the list when the tournament starts. We'll see.

Head
Fakhar
Kohli
Klaasen
Maxwell
Butler
Rashid Khan
Rabada
Starc
Shaheen
Zampa

Anyway, too early to make this. A lot can happen once the tournament starts.

Actually replace Kohli for Pandya. A bowling allrounder is more useful in your 11 tbh

Five players from ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 winners India have been selected for the Team of the Tournament after they beat New Zealand in a pulsating final

The Black Caps saw four members of their squad make the team, including Player of the Tournament Rachin Ravindra, with Mitchell Santner being named captain.

Two players from Afghanistan also made the cut after the Asian nation won their first-ever ICC Men’s Champions Trophy match in their debut appearance.

At the top of the order, Ravindra was an expected selection after he scored two centuries and topped the run-scoring charts with 263.

His knock of 112 against Bangladesh was instrumental in seeing New Zealand over the line and his 108 in the semi-final against South Africa showed he is dangerous wherever he bats.

He is joined by Ibrahim Zadran at the top of the order. The 23-year-old Afghan more than left his mark on the tournament, scoring a brilliant match-winning knock of 177 – the highest-ever Champions Trophy score - against England in the group stage.

India’s Virat Kohli slots in at number three after he finished fifth in the run-scoring charts with 218 at an average of 54.50.

Kohli made a memorable unbeaten century in his side’s group-stage win over Pakistan and a crucial 84 in the semi-final success over world champions Australia.

Teammates Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul join him in the middle-order after impressive tournaments.

Iyer was India’s top run-scorer, with two half-centuries helping him to 243 runs in total, while Rahul finished with an average of 140 thanks to unbeaten knocks of 42 and 34 in the semi-final and final respectively.

New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips is selected at number six after a brilliant performance with the bat and in the field.

His diving one-handed catch to dismiss Shubman Gill in the final was one of three iconic takes across the tournament, while the 28-year-old scored one half century against Pakistan and took two wickets against South Africa in the semi-final to go alongside an unbeaten 49.

Azmatullah Omarzai is the second Afghan named in the team. The fast-bowling all-rounder had a fantastic tournament with both bat and ball and finishing with seven wickets at 20 and 126 runs at 42.00.

Santner is named as team captain after finishing the tournament with nine wickets – the joint second-most – but more importantly picked them up at crucial times.

His knack of taking potential game-changing wickets was evident in the final. With the help of a sublime Phillips catch, he removed Shubman Gill and followed it up with the wicket of Iyer.

India’s Mohammed Shami caps a successful return from injury by being selected after finishing with nine wickets.

Matt Henry unfortunately missed the final due to a shoulder injury he picked up in New Zealand’s semi-final win over South Africa but still finished as the tournament’s leading wicket-taker with 10 at 16.70.

The team is completed by Varun Chakravarthy, who took nine wickets in just three matches.

He bowled his full allocation in all three matches he played and never went for more than 49. India’s Axar Patel was selected as 12th man.

The selection panel consisted of commentators and former international players Ian Bishop, Simon Doull and Aaron Finch, Hindustan Times journalist Rasesh Mandani and ICC General Manager Events and Corporate Communications, Gaurav Saxena.

Very good team in my opinion. Would have loved to see Fakhar, Saim, Rizwan there. Not surprised that tullas like Head missed out - there's only so many times you can hack your way in tournaments.

Proper team and no Tullebaaz player's are selected

@Rana 🤡

Very biased selection, why no Alex Carey here?

Those who played fantasy knew it better.
Alex Carey scored 160 runs at an average of 65.
KL Rahul scored 140 runs at an average of 140 and performed well in the final match.

Not sure where the bias is? the difference is small.

One on same ground....while other did that across the venues with Phillips style fielding

Aren't you guy's bored of using same excuse again and again?

NZ has played couble of games in the UAE against india yet We have won comfortably.

And don't forget NZ is second best Team of the champion trophy.

:kp
Yep NZ minus Henry the fifth lol...but anyways a win is a win...not contesting that

He played on 2 march game and guess what ? India won 2nd March game with ease compared to the final.

Why Pakistan fan's always used excuses like - Wo nhi tha ,ye nhi tha , wo injured ho gya, india ko advantage the etc etc.

We didn't had service of greatest player of all time aka Bumrah yet we didn't complaint.

We didn't win a single toss yet won all the game with ease.

Yesterday when Indian Spinners bowl they only got 2 degree of turn while NZ were spinning at 3.7 degrees

Trust me if India had won the toss yesterday pakistan fan's would have been crying about toss also .

:kp

Pakistani fans are currently unable to digest Indian dominance in the cricket arena at this moment.
#Fact

Trent Boult has retired from international cricket a year ago.

Lockei is nothing bowler apart from the pace and indian player's Love the pace .ask Wood and Archer

Boult is retired, my friend. Also Lockie has been a rubbish ODI bowler for a long time now .

Using this logic , there was no Henry or Lockie, Bracewell or Jamieson in that Bangalore match when Pakistan won in a rain shortened affair.

How eise do you explain a pure tulleybaaz slogger like Fakhar scoring a hundred ? :inti

Fakhar played brilliantly no doubt, but the rain helped them big time...given the vulnerability of middle order then

And in Dubai??? On his maiden match of CT unlike nearly a month's stay
Alex Carey scored 160 runs at an average of 65.
KL Rahul scored 140 runs at an average of 140 and performed well in the final match.

Not sure where the bias is? the difference is small.
Carey scored 130 runs, not 160

Rahul scored 34 not out in the final and 42 not out in the semis, leading india home in tricky situations (with strike rate over 100)

Please don't talk about iffs and buttsss, Indians have lost enough finals to be immune to iffs now.

Either you win the match or you don't, no inbetween.

India in 2017 was almost unbeatable and we would have beaten Pak 9/10 times, but its okay as it was what it was

Why other six indians players are missing in this team?

Mr Jay shah will definitely become angry with the selection panel now🙃

Watched Skysports and Nasser Hussein had two Englishmen in his XI

These people have absolutely no shame or self respect

Shreyas Iyer (India)
KL Rahul (wk) (India)
Glenn Phillips (New Zealand)
Azmatullah Omarzai (Afghanistan)
Mitchell Santner (capt) (New Zealand)
Mohammad Shami (India)
Matt Henry (New Zealand)
Varun Chakravarthy (India)
Axar Patel (India)
This team is rubbish.

Zadran failed against any competent team while duckett was the only good opener in England side.

People crap on duckett cause he played for a crap team but that's not relevant in team of the tournament.

Kohli did nothing post pakistan game. He had a decent game against australia but it was aided by maxwell shelling his catch and throughout the game it was an overall shaky innings. Root was the better no 3 in the tournament however root had a pretty poor conversion rate from 50 to 100

Rahul makes zero sense over latham who's been the best glovework + wk.batter of the tournament however the best overall no 5.

Omairzai over David Miller is clown worthy.

The bowling is fine though.

And gosh some of the comments are so cringe worthy.

team of the tournament has always been statistical based without any logic. Like come on, they once choose Babar as the captain lol

Which is why it's total nonsense. But I'm not surprised some Indian trolls love this team cause for the first time it's a team filled with Indians and is in accordance of their view.

This is why I always ensure my teams are based of watching the actual tournament and not just statistics.

For example last year Steve Smith was not included in test team of the tournament and Brooks was included over him at no 4 mainly due to that one series were duckett was injured and root came in at 3 and Brooks at 4.

This is a total joke because Brooks plays at 5 90% of the time and Brooks is a circus clown on any pitch which offers even a hint of turn.

He scored a super century against NZ and the next game NZ curated a pitch with spin and Brooks was a bunny.

Meanwhile Steve smith despite a slump in form came back with 2 centuries on a difficult pitch In a difficult series followed by 2 more vs sri lanka granted that was in 2025.

But ofcourse Indian posters attacked smith cause smith humbled them and supported Brooks instead due to higher avg.
