I think, there is a bit confusion on NRR calculation - how it works.

Let's take a scenario, that SAF beats IND by 10 runs in a 50 over match (no rain), after scoring 353

After 3 matches, their NRR will be + 0.685

Now, SRL batting first scores 170/10 (49'2)

To cross SAF's NRR, PAK's target will be in 15'5 overs (if they score 171), if 176 (that's a SIX to win from scores at level) target will be in 16'4 overs.

Or opposite, PAK bats first & scores 319 - they have to restrict SRL at 134 to cross SAF ..........

Same equation for SRL is even tougher - they'll need to win by 190 runs (319 vs 129). That's because both their matches went to full distance (100 overs), while PAK's match total was only 68 overs.

Wow BD qualifying to Semis would be absolutely mental considering they were in a very difficult group to begin with.Also, we were almost out against Aus. I guess sometimes you need a bit of luck...

Honestly Bangladesh would deserve it for beating New Zealand which is a good team, in conditions favouring NZ over Bangladesh. And they won fairly comfortably. Not to mention first champions trophy. And in by far the harder group.

Australia's been a bit underwhelming this tournament. Not terrible, just with their team, thought they'd do better.

Gotta agree about Australia batting. Someone like Tamim Mushy Shakib would easily walk into Australian side. Henriques Wade aren't doing anything substantial

Calm down !!! The Aussies had destroyed the bangladeshi lineup in the earlier game . Rain came to your rescue. Be humble and realistic . Bangladesh have been the weakest team in the competition but it would be great to see them make their first semi final . Good for the game.
