ICC CT : India [324/7] defeat Bangladesh [84] by 240 runs in warm-up game

Dhawan and Yuvraj are two selections that will cost us any chance of defending this CT, quite sure about it now. :facepalm:

Nope I m watching so far he is goig good he has temperament to survive and he will survive but most likely his scores are going to be like 64 off 83 balls.But he will survive
 
Why are Indian batters showing so much respect to this Miraz. Just snack him for sixes. Haven't seen a single of his deliveries to to turn.

He didn't call us minnows. He said Bangladesh no longer are minnows bht Bangladesh needs to accept that people expect more from us and need to win more crunch matches.
 
Don't see anything wrong with what Ramiz has said. I'd be surprised if they won even a solitary match in the CT.

More or less, almost every Pakistani will support Israel against India & similar proportion Indian will support China against Pakistan.
 
Our Captains are good at winning toss at practice matches 👍
 
Now I am getting a bit confused regarding our win against Kiwis & PAK's prospect against Lankans.
 
I'll lose all respect for Kohli the captain if he plays Dhawan. Sadly, everyone can see how crap he is except the people who matter. :facepalm:

What has happend to him? (Maybe the pakistani syndrome play for your place) He used to be free flowing player striking at around 100.

With lots of things going in favour - yes.

It has to be a decent bowling wicket; Mash has to win the toss & hopefully he won't challenge our openers' skill in early morning, catching has to be our best level & then someone has to play a blinder at chase.

Only corridor I see is the brittleness of ENG batting approach on slightly bowling favourable conditions.
 
Once set, Dhawan is a destructive player, who can bat long. But, looks like surviving the new ball will be an issue for him. Got dropped early in last match as well.

Mean no chance on recent normal English odi wicket? I thought Bangla can really match English in batting shootout because they "play modern brand of cricket" unlike pak.
 
I thought IPL form does not matter.

Rohit looked clueless in IPL and has continued the same here. He should not have made the squad based on form. He will be out first ball against Pak.

Dhawan was striking at 100 in IPL. Never once he looked comfortable. Cannot time the ball and poor rotation of strike.

Same is the case with every Indian batsman in the squad.

Very poor batting squad.

No longer a 100 strike rate player, but still can survive and score runs somehow. That's why he still maintains very good stats, 40+ at 90 strike rate. He is the only in-form opener we have got right now. [MENTION=139678]Zak_Fan[/MENTION] is exaggerating or trolling.

Pandey is injured, thats why Dinesh Kartik was picked in the squad. If you go by practice matches then Dhawan has performed better than Rahane so deserves the place ahead of him.

Very few team can match ENG's batting shootout - that way it won't work for most teams. They have to be caught off guard batting first, their bowling is the weak link of the two.

Well then, watch him destroy our chances. He doesn't even look like a batsman when he bats. Only way he can be a help is if he rides his luck and gets very lucky. But then better batsmen can do the same.

I judge players based on what I see, not just numbers. Anyway, I have said enough about him, hope he proves me wrong.

Never looked 100%, still he was the 2nd highest run scorer in the IPL after Warner. He is that kind of player. He will come good. Him and Kohli are two I feel will turn up in the tournament.

I watched every SRH game and Dhawan looked uncomfortable in every match. He was making those scratchy 30's and 40's. Luckily for him Warner was destroying bowling attacks at the other end. So not much pressure.

Here Dhawan has to bat with Rohit who is probably in the worst form of his life.

I would not consider the inside edge he got today as unlucky. This is how he was getting out in IPL too. Plays away from body with poor timing.

It will be a miracle if he sue it more than 10 balls against Amir.

I did watch many SRH matches too. You know what, Dhawan was the SECOND highest run scorer in the IPL despite not being 100%, albeit at a lower strike rate. He will come good me thinks.
 
I get the feeling that Oval and Birmingham are going to have different pitches for CT. It will rain runs at Edgbaston and the rain will ensure bowling will reign at Oval..

Problem for Dhawan is that he has to bat with A clueless Rohit. No place to hide.

I would pick Dhawan over Rohit to succeed in CT.

I think it has to do with Bangladesh being a close competitor of Pakistan. Let for example many fans like our players but they want us to lose so their team moves up the rankings. Also their will be fans making arguments.

However it's all good.
 
I think we all should stick to cricket we are no expert in international relations or sub continent history, all I know we all as countries have fair share of blunders.
 
Jadhav is the only exciting player we have apart from Kohli. Everyone else bats at a snail's pace for the most part of their innings.
 
Good news Is that India can easily defend 275 against most sides barring England, Aus and SA.

Maybe it's the general animosity between the sub continental teams but remember that India losing is always the priority over anything else :))
 
With Karthik scoring runs, who will he replace? Rahane?

Or will they just go by big names and not Form?

Karthik scoring 94* has no bearing on final eleven which will be fielded by India against Pakistan. INDIA never takes warm up or it's result seriously, and this won't be any special case either.

Only way I see karthik in match against pak is if anyone from first choice eleven is injured or ill.
 
They are saving Yuvraj for big hitting towards the end. I think both Yuvi and Dhoni will have well defined roles this CT.

IS VK afraid of bowling and not coming to practice or is he giving his batters practice and being overconfident of his form.
 
I have seen a lot of insults thrown toward Bangladesh because we kicked west indies out of the Champions trophy and how Bangladesh playing means that it isn't a tournament of Champions anymore.

Or

Holder Chase Joseph Brathwaites and... Well I don't even know who is in the current West Indies side.

Mashrafe's over imaginative strategy has brought Bangladesh to no. 6 ranking ODIs and Bangladesh has started to win a few matches here and there in T20Is
 
India would've scored 400 again this Bangladeshi bowling attack if kohli had batted in his usual position.

What Bangladesh must learn from practice matches is that playing Taskin won't be a good idea.

What excuse? Even without the service of india's main batsmen, India is Making a mockery of this Bangladeshi bowling attack. It's not that hard to imagine what would've happened if india's main batters had played in their usual position.

Used to see Pandaya as a mindless slogger, but his batting seems much improved now. Seems to be working hard on all aspects of his game.
 
Lol Pandya making Fizz look like a club bowler. Smacking him all around. Apart from IPL, this is the first time I fully watched Fizz bowl in internationals. Nothing special about him. Bowls a slower ball, yorker here and there and that's it. He is over hyped to the moon. Not even among the top 10 bowlers currently.
