Going for Canada, Pakistan cricket need a shock therapy of epic proportions and forget the lazy attitude of this "Qudrat ke Nizam" BS.

Cricket needs a competitive Pakistan else the game dies. So let them suffer two more humiliations for a complete new revival.
 
Honestly I want Canada to win Pakistan do not deserve to be in the next round. So far they played like cowards with a clueless leader and cannot handle pressure.

Fakhar is always my opener with Rizwan who is able to clear the field. Babar at 3 is non negotiable.
Usman needs to learn how to guide an innings and I genuinely think he does have that ability and is just very inexperienced.
Saim comes in at 5. He is able to play a Fakhar style innings but with more freedom lower down the order.

Good list but drop Shadab for Ifty. Shadab should never play for Pakistan again. Ifty, Shadab, Imad & Amir should never play for Pakistan after this World Cup.

Aaron, coming off the win against Ireland, what are your thoughts going up against Pakistan?

[Aaron Johnson:]

I think it's a great win for Canada, historic win. And I think we just need to take it one ball at a time. As we see, the wicket here is kind of tricky, so we just need to have a game plan and stick to it.

[Reporter:]

What were the biggest changes you saw from the match against the US to Ireland that got you over the line?

[Aaron Johnson:]

I think our fielding was very good, a total team effort. I think we played positive cricket and we managed to get the highest score so far here in New York. We even got a very decent total in, I think, the second highest total. So, we are looking to bat positively and just back it up in the field.

[Reporter:]

Coming off the win, what's the mood in the camp now?

[Aaron Johnson:]

I think the mood, everyone knows. You must have seen it on social media where the guys are happy, guys are fancying their chances, and definitely looking forward to playing against some of the big guns in Pakistan team.

[Reporter:]

What do you see as maybe the main areas of opportunity and some of the threats that Pakistan present?

[Aaron Johnson:]

I think they are very skilled players. Most of these guys have been going around the world playing league cricket, not only international cricket, so their skills are there. But if you're looking for opportunity, you have to relish these moments. So, I believe the fact that the wicket is playing some tricks, it levels the playing field for us, and we're looking to use that to our advantage.

[Reporter:]

You mentioned levelling the playing field and using the pitch to your advantage. How comfortable do you feel in these conditions and with this drop in wicket?

[Aaron Johnson:]

Again, I think it's the first time, personally, I'm playing on drop in wickets. Or we did have GT20, but also those were low scoring games. So definitely, it's a challenge. But as professionals, I think we have to, as I said, look forward to challenges and look for positive ways of overcoming them.

[Reporter:]

Lastly, how are you feeling about your tournament so far and how much are you looking forward to this opportunity against Pakistan?

[Aaron Johnson:]

Personally, I would love to be doing better especially with the bat but again, I think the team have targets power play and I've managed to help the team to accomplish those targets and we got one win. So if I'm looking at it from a selfish point of view, I'd want to do better but as a team point of view, I think we're doing very well.

[Reporter:]

How was that win? I'm sure it was such a milestone for Canadian cricket, but how important was that for the whole of Canadian cricket and North America?

[Aaron Johnson:]

Again, as I said, it's a very big win for us. It's a historic win. It's our first T20 win against a test-playing nation, and this just shows that Canada has a lot to offer to the world of cricket. I'm pretty sure this will drive a lot of investment in Canadian cricket to show that we are here to compete. We are not just here to be a part of the tournament. And moving forward, we got ODI status earlier, and we qualified to play here in the World Cup, so I think it's massive, and for us as a group, it drives a sense of believe within the group. So, I think we have to just take it stride and keep moving forward.

I agree with you. I always hoped Shadab would get his groove back but I'm not sure he will.
Its just a very poor squad to choose from.
 
Pakistan should play Saim in the remaining two matches. Our batting lineup against India was very weak. Shadab's batting isn't good enough to play as a batter in the team.
 
What should be the openning combination Pakistan should try against canada?

I think they should try Fakhar and Saim Ayub this time if they stick for 4 overs they can provide u a flying start.
 
Win or lose dont care need to see some new faces given a chance, Saim, Abrar and even Abbas Afridi should be given a go

Bowling is not a major concern for now its batting which is a real headache!

so i want pak to bat first and put 160 to 170 on the board and then try to get canada out under 120 runs to boost their NRR.

Oh bhai, this is NY pitch, no one, not even classic Australia is getting 170 here.

It'll be like India vs Pakistan game or Sa vs Bangladesh game aka rul rul kei sab marei gei, irrespective of the outcome.

Get what? If they win tmr people will do bhrangra because usa vs Ireland will be washed off.

Some people will talk fantasy stating if that game happened, Pakistan would easily make it into super 8 as they finally found their stride against the all mighty Canada.

Look at loyal England fans, despite me claiming England have gotten super super unlucky this time due to pretty much most of their easy games being washed off and their only hame not being washed off against Australia, none of their fans are complaining. If England exit they exit, Australia is a team and is here to stay, So the whole they got unlucky doesn't apply, they will have meet Australia again at some point even if they do qualify and if they don't have the ability to beat em, they can't win plain and simple.

Their fans aren't complaining or crying about getting unlucky to deal with Australia, but Pakistan fans delusionally will.

Better to lose so that wahab and the current committee may get sacked and hope against hope Kristen gets full ultimate authority in pcb from now on.

Rain delayed the start of the India-Pakistan clash in New York, but no weather interruptions are expected on Tuesday. A fresh pitch is expected to be used for the Canada-Pakistan clash.

Man way too many upsets are gonna happen in the NY leg, Dallas pitch upset was absolute stupidity on PCT’s part but NY needs a lot of application from the captain and players.
 
This pitch is also gonna be a pathetic one like earlier pitches. Teams would fancy their chances after scoring 120-130.

Pakistan might lose this game as well because this team is afraid and they are playing like a bunch of timid cats who have nowhere to go now.

Really, no hopes from this bunch anymore.
 
Play Abrar instead of Haris.
Play Saim instead of Usman.
Too bad no Salman to replace Shadab so have to continue playing him as specialist fielder which he can do better than Azam.
We are 10 man team.
