We have a 15 year old in the side. We are playing test match vs the Pakistan. Would love to see Canada bat out the entire 50 overs.

Run rate around 2 and now losing wickets. Ireland in deep trouble.

Ireland will score 160 and Nepal will chase it.

Canada Under-19s won the toss and elected to bat

Canada doing better then Afghanistan. My prediction is they will be all out for around 150 at best.

Sri Lanka will score 250+ and Afghans will be all out for 160.

They were bowled for 126 by Pakistan on this pitch.
 
In our part of Tamilnadu, we call batsmen who plays like Sarfraz (at the moment) as "Gaadaa" batsmen. Plays too many ugly cross batted swats but very effective in the end.
 
The Canadians and the Irish desperately want a Test status. This is and ODI though.........

Even when senior test team tour SA, Aus and Eng from asia they struggle with the pitches. Even after several tours. These kids are touring for the first time to these alien conditions, so it's difficult for them.

I love seeing them fight. Hope they perform respectable.

Scored 250+ Vs last time champions RSA, at one point it was 200 for 3. Sadly, these players won't get to learn anything more after their U-19 career as there is no FC system to develop them.

I don't know why every batsman named Sarfraz bats like a hack with ugly cross batted swats. But at least they all have a decent sweep shot.
 
The Indian players always possess well maintained brain unlike other subcontinent players. India never had anyone you could categorize as a "hack". Despite being behind the run rate, the Indian players are calm and chilled out.

They're all extremely well coached from a young age. I don't think any country has better batting coaches at the junior level.

LOL. True that plus this Indian sarfraz is good at playing big shots (hits high balls when in form).
 
I am surprised to see the lack of penetration by PAK new ball bowlers, even U19 level. These are 9 AM starts in JAN & there must be enough, enough on the wicket to get Canada 5 down in 20 overs. Last match as well, Afghans struggled against spinners in later stages, but they out scored PAK top order in 1st 20 overs. It's time for PCB to ban speed gun anywhere in Pakistan, that has gone to everyone's head, including posters in PP.

Hasan got three early breakthroughs in the first 8 overs.

Still, Afghan were batting at 4+ & was heading for a decent total before spinners ran through. By the way, has anyone seen Hasan - he opens regularly, but was listed as LB?

I'm pretty sure he's a seamer. They've got everyone listed as LB for some reason.
 
The strike rotation by Indian youngsters is not good ,hopefully IPL teaches them that.

Hate these Paindu off spin bowlers. If a batsmen starts attacking, they can't do anything.
 
Nepalis should be allowed in Indian domestic structure and Afghans in Pakistani will develop both of them at least better than what they are now.
 
If Canada scores 200, that would make me happy. It is a big improvement considering they haven't played or practiced outside for over 3-4 months and lets not forget the epic 486 pounding from India.

They did win against Ireland in the warm up.

Sarfraz Khan is already getting hyped massively by everyone and till now has delivered.
