Stoinis reminds me of Ian Harvey. Both baby pace bowler & useless "power hitter". Harvey was a genuine jobber in that legendary Aussie team but the reason they kept carrying his sorry ass was because they didn't have any genuine seam bowling all-rounder at the time, Watson was still not ready, Shane Lee flopped. There was ana rticle written about all the teams before world cup. One common thing they mentioned about India and Australia wa they both rely on top order batting. That is proving to be true.

This is the risk with India. If they arent tested till the knockout stages , during the first difficult game, things can fall apart. Same happened in 2019 WC too and generally the story of ICC tourneys

The lone bright spot of the match is Shaheen's performance. He's truly been excellent and it was so good to see him pull back his length and bowl it tight in the early overs. Deserved a wicket and unfortunately the dolly was dropped but regardless he's been superb.
