Aussies all over SA like a cheap suit. Peak aussie mentality as they usually are in knockouts. Fielding and bowling with max intensity.
 
SA bowling is inexperienced. Australia's is vastly experienced. I don't think SA can replicate the same what Starc and Josh do here.

They can beat India. 60 40 in India's favour

This is a bowl first situation but SA despite winning the toss couldn't because of their paranoia of chasing. The way they chased against Dutch, PCT, ICT, there was no way they would have chosen the same in a world cup semi final game. A necessary compromise, if that means batting in overcast conditions, or defending totals with lots of dew around, so be it. Ultimately this can prove to be their undoing.
 
South Africa seems to have mentally checked out. Australia is all over them and they are barely surviving here.

Lack of ability bro. If the only way you know to win is by setting a total, you aren't going to win any ICC trophy.
 
Newzealand and southafrica are certified chokers and spot waster. Any team can beat them in knockouts. Boring to have these two teams in main knockouts as we all will know the results already. Such a disgrace.

What? Hell no, ik aussie team more then anyone.

This is their 2nd Weakest team they have ever sent only surpassed by 2011.

Reason their good is cause they always play with a champions mentality and know how to win world cups as well as the fact that their put of form players are now peaking at the right time.

Aus is the only team capable of punching 100x > their weight except for 2011 which was burnt out beyond belief obviously
 
Some of the best new ball bowling I’ve seen - of course aided by the conditions.

Feels like a Test match. Wonder if Cummins will make the ball talk as well.

Bounce - if a bowler can generate considerable bounce on good length balls, can move either way either in swing or out swing and bowl occasionl yorkers at 135 to 145 then he will become a great bowler in any format.

Not sure. Maybe he's too temperamental? Rabada had an insane multi-format workload for a very young bowler which was CSA behaving like PCB - forcing bowlers to play every match without playing bench strength.


Post 2019 CWC, they lightened his workload and wanted him at his best as a bowler . So I guess it's just about not overburdening their premier quick
 
This must be mental torture. Australian fielding is hurting them mentally. Hit over the fielder dude.
 
This is a pure exhibition of pace bowling and fielding. To produce this level on this occasion, champion team
 
Van der dussen and de kock are the only quality batter in this team. Markram may do well today as he is proficient vs pace but rest won't do well in this game vs Australia.
 
Look at the fielding though, elite champion mentality on display. No wonder they are the greatest cricket nation.
 
There is huge pressure on Markram here. In that chase in the PAK game , Markram was the only batter to show any bottle .

SA should work on singles and twos for a while and gradually wrest momentum. I want a good game regardless of who wins. Don't want a one-sided semi final.

Yes cause they don't have to deal with home team pressure at all. Only 30 mil population. They are also a first world country and have a good school system to promote sports.

2007 was better yes. 2015 is questionable. They weren't better than this team in Asian conditions. Not much difference.

They had to keep wickets in hand . Losing wickets put more pressure even if they were 30/1 in 15 overs

It is not questionable.

Stark peaked at the right time but at the start of the tournament he was a joke compared to his classic dominating self of the past who would be a nightmare new ball bowler for others.

Steve Smith in 2015 was even > 2015 version of kohli at the time. Kohli 2016 surpassed him though, but current Smith is a joke beyond belief and a thorn in the side. Labu is also causing balance problems.

Watson not being here is a huge miss.

Warner of the current era while good is a shadow of his former 2015 self.

Aus bowlers of 2015 were unplayable, aus batters were master class strikers.

The 2015 aussie team would have loved batting in these conditons and you'd see bazzball 400× strokes.

Only player who's superior in 2023 to their 2015 counter part is Glenn Maxwell.
