@Mamoon was right when he said that six by Kohli damaged Rauf. Similar thing happened to Nawaz who also lost himself after that game
 
Babar groomed gully Mohalla bowlers likes of Haris Rauf, Mohammad Nawaz and Shadab for 3 to 4 years for this epic show. Shaheen needs to take a break, work on his bowling. He has been bang average since his recovery from injury.

JB plays with open chest, more like the West Indians than the typical high-elbow, side on English batting; for that he is a bit vulnerable for anything that’s coming toward him; while Malan is lefti …. Iftekhar is on, better late than never, but might be too late - JB is well set now.

Oh common man stop with virat this and that. Rauf was never a consistent bowler and on Indians pitches he exposed badly

I think he has the ingredients to become good, he has only played about 35 ODI's. It will just take him a bit of time to get there

Hasan Ali - 6 years
Nawaz - 7 years
Wasim - 2 years

I dont think its too bad in the experience side. Its just that bench were not given opportunities at all and when the 1st choice players were either injured or out of form they ha no one to replace. Hope Babar or whoever the captain will be after WC will test bench against Ireland, Zimbabwe and England in the t20s next year before WC. Babar and rIzzy need to rest these sesries to let players like Siam ayub play and develop.
 
Scheduling didn’t help England

They probably would have fancied playing Pakistan a lot earlier in the tournament

What he have to do is play first class cricket to know how to ball 15-20 overs a day consistently on good line and length

with pace ok. we have a few coming up somewhat with zeeshan, irfanullah, ali, ihansullah and zaman.
thats 5 to choose from for odi and t20. for tests only iqbal, zaman may have potential.

but for spin. how is there no spin option at all? like zero coming through.

Key to beating England is to get Malan out quickly and then get Root inside the PP where he has been ridiculously poor. If you can get Malan and Root out in the PP, England won't even be competitive .

Malan is the key that unlocks that batting lineup . Without his solidity , they collapse like dominoes.
 
End of the Powerplay with England on 72/0. A good toss to win and they are making the most of their option to bat first. Pakistan need a breakthrough and soon.
 
Wasim has bowled with control and kept it simple. All he's done so far in this tournament

You need world legends like Shane Warne and Steve Waugh to get those deals through the door with Malik.

PAK should have taken 2nd spinner today. It’ll reverse later stages but Poms might run away with the game by then.

@Mamoon - regardless of the result today, how many will retire after the game?
 
Pakistan needs to do away with these part time T20 defensive spinners. Harbhajan Singh correctly identified that Pakistani spinners just want to quickly get through their overs and look to concede maximum 50-60 runs in 10 overs even if they don't take wickets.

A spinner who takes 3-4 wickets for 60-70 runs in ten overs will be more useful to the team.

I was wondering which have been worst in this WC;

1. England’s batting or
2. Pakistan’s bowling

So far Pakistani bowling is winning that race.
 
We lose to England because we will bottle it as we do against them, so won’t be surprised if we let England put 350+ and get bowled out for under 150
 
Hasan Ali and Wasim bowled better than Rauf in this tournament but why Haris played all the matches 🤦🏻‍♀️
Rauf desperately needs some rest from international cricket.

Our spinners cannot hold an end or take wickets. Never seen a worse spin attack in our history.

The problem is compounded by the fact our domestic batsmen struggle against quality spin so mediocre tweakers run riot only to get exposed in internationals.

That said Ifti gets a breakthrough.
 
Malan gone. Key wicket. PAK should hunt for wickets now. Root and Buttler are just waiting to gift wickets.
 
Ifti a part timer is our best spinner of the tournament talk about our team selection and planning🤣

This WC was over with nz spanking sl. There's no pride to salvage either as this has been a thoroughly disappointing tournament.

Let's lose big here and soak in the bitterness with all it's flavor.

He has actually bowled well. NZ batters found him harder to play than the other PAK quicks . Very skiddy and hard to line up.

Wickets are not everything Shaheen went for alot alot of runs check his economy plus he have played all 9 matches. Wasim Jr truly is our beat fat bowler of the tournament he gave control and wickets in the middle phase
 
Joe Root needs only 26 runs to be the first Englishman to score 1000 world cup runs.
Adil Rashid needs 3 wickets to become 1st English spinner to take 200 odi Wickets.
David Willey needs 3 wickets to complete his 100 odi wickets.

Hopefully everyone should get their milestones
 
Chachu the best spinner for Pakistan in this WC by a country mile. Babar should try Saud and Salman as well to give them more confidence for future matches. Bowling in matches gives more rhythm and confidence irrespective of how much you bowl in nets.

He is extremely underrated bowler - actually he looks like the proper spinner in this line-up. Could be an excellent 2nd spinner in Tests outside Asia.
