ICC World Cup 2023: India (274/6) defeat New Zealand (273 all out) by 4 wickets

Whole world is better than Babar
Fans are too harsh on babar.

Babar is > Ravindra in the same way Williamson is > Ravindra.

But you'd rather have ravindra on your side then those 2.

As I said, this world cup has exposed the fab 4 in Smith, Root, Babar and Williamson.

Bavuma as well

Big test for Indian batting today...especially for prince Gill.

Without Pandya this is our C team anyway :inti

Apart from bumrah we don't have any quality death bowler so those 6 over can concede 80 runs
NZ are looking for 330

Great to see crowd giving respect to Daryl Mitchell and Ravindra..
Everyone in crowd on his feet to appreciate Mitchell's hundred.
See Pakistanis, you won't get respect from the crowd with zero performances.
We celebrate good cricket that your team lack.

NZ innings tailed off this past 5 overs. Good Indian comeback / timid NZ batting.

Lol, Waqar younis who is 'supposedly' one of the greats of the game got absolutely pummeled and pasted by a 'mere' ajay jadeja in a quarterfinal. According to your logic he's a mental midget and a nothing bowler, isn't it?

By the way, how's the so called 'No. 1' team and batsman doing in this world cup? I can't see him in top 20run getters, even.
That year when he got smashed did you win the world cup?

Rohit should have batted first today...poor decision at the toss

Despite many failures how Babar still @ No.1 batsman? IMO ICC should run anti-virus, anti-malware on their system

Its admirable that Bumrah bowls 5-6 overs in death and barely leaks 35 runs.

After a solid partnership between Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell India have got 2 wickets in quick succession making the match quite interesting.

Both India and New Zealand have an equal chance here.

NZ have scored 222/4 in 41 overs.

Great fielding by Shreyas, saved a definite boundary

During last year or so, Bumrah has conceded 5.4 rpo in final 10 overs. That's incredible

Yeah and that's why looking at his average vs opposition gives misleading picture. He bowls 5-6 overs in death and hardly leaks 6 RPO so in that regard, he does the job otherwise most bowlers would end up going for 100 runs in final 10.

Because rankings are based of a points system which is obviously a very flawed way of ranking.

If babar playes against minnows and bashes he'd get back to no 1 cause those points would be counted.

Better ranked teams means you score more points, but it doesn't account for how many games players miss for franchise cricket.

Like kohli missed 18 odi's from 2019 to 2023 before the cup and Babar has missed 0, so babar has the points advantage.

Man poor Captioncy by Rohit. Why kuldeep has 1 over left at this stages. He should have complete around 40 over.

does'nt fit their narrative , hence no one will comment :)

Good comeback by Siraj especially after conceding 6 off his first delivery

This is my prediction -

India will lose today, most probably finish the group as no.2 and will face SA in semi final in Mumbai

NZ will face Pakistan in Calcutta in 2nd semi final

Did NZ win the world Cup the year (2019) they beat us in the semis?

Don't go off the topic. Let's stick to it!

One thing I remember about 50 over world cups is we have won a 50 over World Cup after 1992 though!!
How is it off topic? It's relevant. Did india win that year when away smashed Waqar? No.

Yea nz are chokers themselves. That's already been established.

All those players except Bavuma are essential players, you are not going to get phatta wickets with small boundaries to make big hitters special. Despite all Mitchell and Phillips big hitting ability they are still just above run a ball. England Bazball players also got exposed as well as their bowlers. T20 world cup was super bowler and now he is in selectable. Moral is horses for courses.

Kuldeep gets one. He almost got Mitchell as well. I am happy with Kuldeep. He didn't make any mistakes. Batsmen took chance against new ball with no Pandya.
