They can stat pad by scoring their personal milestones but they are hiding because they won’t be able to score them at the proper rate required

Better to hide and blame others

Let's see. Shadab, Usama, Nawaz, Ifti and Salman all should bowl today. Perhaps some Saud Shakeel too.
 
Will be surprised if Shadab gives any overs to Usama. A good spell for him today will put a lot of pressure on the golden boy

Carey is a brilliant player of spin. If he get's the chance than he will give Shadab the treatment he deserves

It has just occurred to Babar and Rizwan that these warmups don’t count towards ranking points and stat padding. They’re a bit slow, but better late than never!

Ok how many ODI we get per year as compared to Aus, India and Eng who rotate their players regularly ?? Please see the stats and then think how can you rest when you only get 8-10 ODI in an year. A complete failure by our PCB to not organize enough ODI in order to rotate players and rest main players
 
Well done to Babar and Rizwan giving opportunity to others. R&D brigade now blaming them for sitting out. No winning with agenda fans. t

Babar has already chased down the same total against them. Knowing Australia they may be won't allow their best bowlers to bowl their full qouta

Shadab Khan is leading Pakistan as Babar Azam may take the field to bat only.

Wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan will rest in this match and Mohammad Haris will keep the stumps.

All 15 players mentioned on the team sheet can feature in the match

So what it's a Practise game, we're we not told its more important for others to get plenty batting as Babar and Rizwan often bat many overs in most games.
 
I don't understand why people are mad? Babar and rizwan sitting out is a win, I thought all of you wanted to test the bench strength?

Like I've written essays about pakistan politics but now that we get our wish, which is to have babar and rizwan not play and hog for once, you guys are mad? And their cowards?

This is a good opportunity, let our batters come up the order and play lol. Its the first sensible decision that we have taken.

Warm ups aren't about winning and losing per say, MZ gave us the minnow treatment but it was clear they weren't taking the warm up seriously either.

Problem with the 1st warm up was babar and rizwan hogging everything, now that they've finally left, you guys are angry? And want them back? Just so they can fail? 😂😂, zero logic.

We aren't winning this cup either way so might as well enjoy a babar and rizwan free game for once in our lives lol.
 
David Warner batting in his home ground again...knows the ground better than anyone. Even more than many Indian players

400 plus easily on with these trundlers..shaheen is really finished after his injury..
 
After 1st over, AUtralis is 8 for no loss. Good start by the Aussies. SHaheen looks way off color. Not good
 
Hassan Ali should perhaps bowl his 10 overs straight with the new ball
 
Lets keep in mind its a warm up...

However, at the same time, Pakistan faced some tough results very recently, 356 vs India, loss vs Sri Lanka, NZ chase down ~340 easily
 
That six to hassan ali by Warner was ooooffff.... That sound from the bat is majestic.
 
Well there are multiple comments joking at Australia making a 400-like score, but this actually has me worrying here. It will be a huge dent on their confidence, if matches are going to be like this, then India conditions is going to be really tough for Pakistan
 
Shaheen first over was not as bad as ppl make it out apart from first ball that was widish. Next ball was half a chance. And he is bowling okay in his second too against big hitting openers.

So you did not wanted Babar and Rizwan to bat any warm up game even though they never batted in India, what is your point?

No them batting is fine, but they should take the NZ approach aka retiring out at 50 like any sensible human being.

They were hogging the apotlight again which for obvious reasons leaves the bench strength untested. That was the issue last game.
 
Exactly - these guys got no balance. Always deal in absolutes.

Bat by all means but when you’re sufficiently “warmed up”, take a break

Anyone can play in warm-ups/practice games. Even opposition players can field for you.

That is why these games are meaningless.

The only warm up game that ever got eye ball was Ind vs Pak in 2009 Oval. Players played in that game with more intensity that in actual tournament :yk

So why did QDK carried out yesterday?
They probably knew they wanted to play only one game so take maximum practise, especially when there were plenty of overs left for most batsmen to get practise too. Only Ifti did not get sufficient time for odd reason they sent Shadab to bat

You know what's funny, I just realised almost everyone in the Australian batting unit is a superior bat to babar in these flat batting paradise conditions 😂😂, since they all can play bazzball while babar can't lol.

Brother, All I'll say is, the approach NZ took for both their warmup games is the approach we should have taken. Their a champion team and their showcasing it.

No because NZ players play a lot in India they do not really any practise, whereas Pakistani batsmen do and lots of it
 
Again shaheen failed to take wicket with new ball in early overs. We are too much dependant on his bowling in this World cup
 
Good workout for Shaheen and Hasan Ali against one of the best opening pair going around

I mean, I said on these types of pitches. Where its flat, their is swing but Australia is the type to punish any wrong length and Babar isn't.

Smith has scored 70 ball 100's before. He attack if you bowl his wrong lines which on this pitch its easy to do due to the ease of playing.

This is why I emphasis why strikers are so important. Imam and Abdullah and Babar can't play like Marsh, Warner and Smith on these types of pitches.

Low SR will be our downfall.
 
This pitch has help.

Pakistani bowlers havent pitched enough balls in the right place.
 
Shaheen failing to take a wicket with the new ball again. Looks like a shell of what he used to be
 
Problem with playing in these conditions for Pak is that there are at least 5 teams in this WC that have better batting line ups than pak.
 
Haris feeding the pace to Warner and he is just smashing him for fun.
