It's basically a practice match for SA. They could lose this by a decent margin and still get through.

Yeah naw buddy, it's basically net session for SA. NZ are the ones with some little pressure, not SA.
 
Two down, now I believe kiwis will settle for damage control. <75 runs margin, they are safe.

This is one reason I like Head to Head - if multiple teams are on same points, first look for the results among themselves, then NRR.
 
Man SA have soo many Tall buildup genuine fast bowlers. There domestic is full of them
 
NZ is getting outplayed here. Their team is limited. They punch above their weight through strategies. But that backfired today.
 
Coetzee have done well he went for runs but gets you the wickets

I think they are in trouble. Without Ferguson their attack is flat. Big chance for Pakistan if SL can do the business.

NZ if they make semis are a guaranteed loss v Australia or India. Its a waste of a semi.
 
Young gets starts but throws them away. That is why he is not an important player. Latham is a good player but his strike rate is good for around 300 chase. Mitchell is the key in this chase now. Phillips and Neesham will come into play if match goes deeper.
 
ok …. Putting SAF in even at Pune D/N was wrong idea. This team is so, so we’ll drilled in the routine of batting first play book!!! They are on way to May be 8th consecutive 100+ margin win batting first; frightening.

And, they are so lucky - so far Aussies, SRL, Poms & Kiwis have put them in after winning toss.

To be honest there are very few guys who are good against fast and short in the world.

Kiwis are fine - so far they have stressed IND & AUS to the limit. SAF was put in by AUS, otherwise that would have been a much closer game.
 
Interesting graphic...for all the negativity on here regarding Pak's pace bowling, even from myself although I don't go around saying they are all useless like the mamoon crew does...Pak's pace bowlers are second on the list of wickets this tournament with a pretty damn good average of 25. Imagine if Naeem was here, Shaheen was 100% and Rauf had that support.

We have a 10 or 15% chance.

NZ have 1%. Their bowling is worse than ours and batting is based on 2 or 3 players.
 
Mitchell is the last hope for NZ. He can score a quick fire 100. Latham is too slow to play ODI's and T20's.
 
Couple quick wickets for the NRR pls. Get them for<150


SA will never get a better chance to win a world cup as much as this year. 2023 is probably the year where the curse is lifted.

SA have suffered and suffered in WC formats , be it 50 over or 20 over, but every dog has its day. SA v Aus is set to be the one SF, time to Bury the Edgbaston Ghost

It will be a travesty if Pakistan sneak into the semi instead of NZ, and this is coming from a diehard Pak fan. We have not played good cricket, and are definitely not one of the top 4 sides in this WC.

One of which is against Pak. So that is a virtual quarter final.

If say Nz lose that, they might have to beat SL by a sizeable margin to ensure semi spot. Meanwhile Pak will have to beat Eng.
 
NZ will have no team to field against Pakistan at this rate
 
This could get even better if South Africa bowls them out quickly. The NZ NRR will plummet. :babar

Why? The team with the most wins/points and best NRR should be in the semis. Why do you hate Pakistan so much bhai saab ?
