Well Afridi is a role model in this forum, replicating his behavior should earn SKY respect from the postersyup.. I never really thought we will do an Afridi.
But I was told that Pakistan have selected modern T20 players now who will show Babar and Rizwan how to bat in this format. When will that happen?
The whole thing has become so petty it's a damn handshake you guys aren't in the Army, plus it was a boring game barring Abhishek and SSA cameos
I don't blame the cricketers for doing as they are told but like I said, it reflects very poorly on them. Many Indian fans have grown accustomed to viewing cricket solely through their own lens, especially with the power and sway India now holds over the game. But cricket has been played for centuries, and like any sport, sportsmanship is one of its implicit tenets, something every player understands and respects deep down. It undermines the essence of cricket as a 'gentleman's game' and sets a very damaging precedent.Imagine if the employer tells you that you can't speak against a genocide somewhere, now that employer can be sponsors or cricket boards, don't think many people will go against them.
I don't think many Indian cricketers like the Indian politicians, they want to just play ,make money and enjoy the game.
He took a picture with the sponsor but left the cheque with them. Atleast that's what I thought I sawHe did collect
This isn’t the corporate world. This is a sports team. You have to pick the best available players, it is not rocket science.I never believed that throwing out Babar and Rizwan would change the team into world beaters.
But you throw out people who are not working.
You don't keep them because there isn't anything better.
Back and across game is missing. They are stuck on their feet. Either they plant thei frontfoot and hit occasionally coming down the line. I think Sohaib Malik, Younis were way better than these guys against spin even with lesser gears.
That's because some people have very limited IQ here. As someone put it, Riz-Bar reside rent-free in their heads.
Something's are best left unsaid. Maybe he was trying to pacify the people back home who were angry at players for playing this matchyup.. I never really thought we will do an Afridi.

2 more matches left..Operation Sindoor II successful.... India is a champion team
while ignoring the result of the match what is Pakistan's future plans. Persisting with this team for 1 or 2 years and see where they go or continue trying new faces? With 1st option if the team don't get better which is likely to happen they will have wasted substantial amount of time.
You are right but babar and rizwan were comfortable with their mediocre strike rates which every one knew is not enough for top tier teams and hence the team failed continuously..If you don't give youngsters chance how do you come to conclusion that they are not better ? The message needed to be passed strictly and hence they are out of the squad .. They will make a comeback but they should stop playing for stats and should play as a team..That’s not the point. Everyone knows Pakistan is a weak team and will lose to India 9/10 times. However, the responsibility of any team is to pick its best available players. How hard is that to do?
No person with any brain cells can watch this Pakistan team and come to the conclusion that Babar and Rizwan aren’t good enough to make this team.
Well that's not a real check anyway lolHe took a picture with the sponsor but left the cheque with them. Atleast that's what I thought I saw
Gentleman's game has been long gone, honestly it was first ripped up by the Aussies, but yeah it seems petty regardless.I don't blame the cricketers for doing as they are told but like I said, it reflects very poorly on them. Even if you don't agree with cricket being a "gentleman's game", sportsman spirit is a central tenet of any sport. Not respecting it shows you don't respect the sport.I dont agree with this cricket being gentlemans game, it aint , it's a competitive commercial game.
On the other hand I dont agree with sportfolks making political statements etc- for that we got politicians... let your cricket do the talking and that is a statement in it self which will hurt and burn more than words.
It does seem like that and makes me furious that we don't ask for roads but for this!Something's are best left unsaid. Maybe he was trying to pacify the people back home who were angry at players for playing this match
It's not about caring but it teaches a lot about life, the ones barking back home not to shake hands have such petty behavior. After a defeat who cares about handshakes!
Serious?!
True offcourse but usually players carry it with them. Definitely felt something off about thatWell that's not a real check anyway lol
Don't worry u can make it as 7-0, you can put a social media win sponsored by Amreekans. From 6-0 to 7-1 now
Even if you don't agree with cricket being a "gentleman's game", sportsman spirit is a central tenet of any sport. Not respecting it shows you don't respect the sport.
Sportsman spirit is a bit wishy washy however what I do agree with is what's on the field should be left on the field and no animosity outside it...give it all in the match and then chill. It's a pretty small exclusive circle of elite cricketers why have bad blood etcEven if you don't agree with cricket being a "gentleman's game", sportsman spirit is a central tenet of any sport. Not respecting it shows you don't respect the sport.
Absolutely agreedIt does seem like that and makes me furious that we don't ask for roads but for this!
Nah we aren't Indians, inventing claims with no proof and then changing said claims every 4 weeks with new embellishments and new encounters previously not mentioned. If this match was not live, Pakistan would have said they won it and celebrated lol.
I think they will definitely shake hands behind the cameras. This is tv circusEven if you don't agree with cricket being a "gentleman's game", sportsman spirit is a central tenet of any sport. Not respecting it shows you don't respect the sport.
Has Reddy been selected for Aus A games?India need Parag in the lineup
As a cricketer how can you say 'we are professionals' in one breath and choose to do something like this in the next? Sets a dangerous precedent because people in high places in Pakistan are very much dictated by 'we have to respond to India' mantra. If Pakistan somehow manage to fluke themselves to a win I'm fairly certain they will try to do something similarly cringe. Which means you've turned cricket into a political battlefield too.Sportsman spirit is a bit wishy washy however what I do agree with is what's on the field should be left on the field and no animosity outside it...give it all in the match and then chill. You are the only respectful neutral person here without any emotional bias. Appreciate thatIndia and respect do not go together.
How many Indian PPers are respectful? Only a handful. Most seem very hateful and toxic.
There seems to be a cultural problem. Years of RSS brainwashing is the culprit perhaps.
See how he uses his feet against the spinners. This was a masterclass by Miandad against Hadlee and co. in 1989Based on my game watching experience, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Younis Khan, Inzamam, Yousaf, Miandad and co were our best batsmen against spin. To be good against spin you must be able to cut, pull, drive straight down the ground, be able to punch on the off or on side off the back foot and most importantly must be able to sweep the ball and use your feet with relative ease. In the present team i cannot name one batsmen who is naturally comfortable on the sweep shot. You are not going to put any class spinner under threat if you don't have a reliable sweep shot under your armoury.
No he is not selected.Has Reddy been selected for Aus A games?
He was injured,he was going great guns before IPL 25
One hell of a hitter, would have made this lineup more brute
Parag? He is the biggest fraudster & nepo baby of the IPL. If anything, we need Shreyas Iyer or Jaiswal in this lineup.India need Parag in the lineup
I am talking about bringing in next set of players to try out. Or they are going to stick their neck out and back these for 2 years. That will be a huge call. The right way to go about is to give the selected players a good run for 2-3 tournaments, series and if they still don't perform, select other players on the bench or domestic circuit. But usually when you give a player that kind of run, they should eventually come good. But no going back to Babar and Rizwan unless they have exhibited consistently in domestic cricket and leagues that they have made a conscious effort to up their strike rates to 150 plus on average.
I don't think Indian cricketers would even want to be caught dead next to anything Pakistani. The picture of SKY shaking hands with Naqvi and Salman Agha already generated quite alot of negative buzz online. This seemed like a very calculated stunt to pacify the people back home baying for blood and calling for "boycotts"I think they will definitely shake hands behind the cameras. This is tv circus
He did collect
he's a another mi lobby player... would lick feet of Shreyas Iyer... imagine if this team had Shreyas iyer in place of Tilak... and Jaiswal instead of influencer Gill. Sheer Sa / Aus smacking level teamTilak is one player that has issue with strike rotation. This is bad.
Because it’s already proved that these so-called youngsters are inferior. They get outperformed by Babar and Rizwan in domestic, so what gives PCB the confidence that they will do better than them in international cricket? You are right but babar and rizwan were comfortable with their mediocre strike rates which every one knew is not enough for top tier teams and hence the team failed continuously..If you don't give youngsters chance how do you come to conclusion that they are not better ? Again who cares? It's not about caring but it teaches a lot about life, the ones barking back home not to shake hands have such petty behavior.
? Tilak is from Hyderabad, Iyer is from MI lobbyhe's a another mi lobby player... would lick feet of Shreyas Iyer... imagine if this team had Shreyas iyer in place of Tilak... and Jaiswal instead of influencer Gill. Sheer Sa / Aus smacking level team
You are the ones with no proof brother.Nah we aren't Indians, inventing claims with no proof and then changing said claims every 4 weeks with new embellishments and new encounters previously not mentioned.
Can you all do this in that Time Pass section ...You are the ones with no proof brother.
The funeral processions are there for all to see.
Is Glenn Phillips retired? His form has been terrible. Ramandeep singh is another option. Probably potentially the best fielder in the world.
It hasn't reached its true potential for now, maybe they are weighing in few optionsVery predictable match. I said India would win handily and that's exactly what happened. Though I don't think it's rocket scienece predicting that. Gulf between these two sides has never looked as much as it does right now. India are fielding arguably their greatest ever T20 side. Pakistan very much in a rebuilding period and don't look like they hold a candle to this Indian XI.
That's why I said FFS SKY that was last sentence from you was utter tripeAs a cricketer how can you say 'we are professionals' in one breath and choose to do something like this in the next? Sets a dangerous precedent because people in high places in Pakistan are very much dictated by 'we have to respond to India' mantra. Do you also do racist edits?
I actually wasn't talking about you, when I said 'you'. I was talking about India and more specifically the Indian government. But if you wanna get offended about it, please go right ahead. That's why I said FFS SKY that was last sentence from you was utter tripe
Not sure we are on the same page here or it's being lost in translation, I am actually agreeing with you that statement was unnecessary, from SKY nothing for me to get offended. I assumed as you were responding to me and wasn't India or Indians in general who are 1.4b odd and can't be classified into one bucket on things political etcI actually wasn't talking about you, when I said 'you'. I was talking about India and more specifically the Indian government. But if you wanna get offended about it, please go right ahead.
Hahaha … “perhaps” you weren’t sure eitherCouple of posters here said it will not be a easy chase , why did I say '' perhaps '' in reply![]()
Great speculation and forecastWill be surprised if Saim, Haris, Agha and Nawaz get double figures. IMO that would on its own be a win
It's okay, it happens. Things get lost in translation. No harm, no foul. Not sure we are on the same page here or it's being lost in translation, I am actually agreeing with you that statement was unnecessary, from SKY nothing for me to get offended. Australia won that tournament.CHalo atleast we wont face a 10 wicket zalalat that India faced
Poentially. I have seen him take some unbelievable outfield catchesIs Glenn Phillips retired?
Pakistanis and Pakistan Cricket Team nees to realise this…. indians are and always be this petty..Gentleman's game has been long gone, honestly it was first ripped up by the Aussies, but yeah it seems petty regardless.
There have been instances where players didn't shake hands,Lanka and BD did it recently too and yes its poor.
I dont agree with this cricket being gentlemans game, it aint , it's a competitive commercial game.
On the other hand I dont agree with sportfolks making political statements etc- for that we got politicians... let your cricket do the talking and that is a statement in it self which will hurt and burn more than words.
I think you are trying to say “responsibility of any team is to pick who Mamoon thinks are Pakistan’s best available players”, which happen to be Rizwan and Babar. That’s not the point.
Anyone who thinks the players playing today are better than Babar and Rizwan need to get their heads checked, and they don’t need me to tell them that.I think you are trying to say “responsibility of any team is to pick who Mamoon thinks are Pakistan’s best available players”, which happen to be Rizwan and Babar.
They are very good players for Pakistani standards and still have an important role in other formats. They are not the answer to Pakistani T20 top order.Anyone who thinks the players playing today are better than Babar and Rizwan need to get their heads checked, and they don’t need me to tell them that.
The mentally ill troll whose only job is to rant and rave about Indians is non biased? I knew he would latch onto a new issue to spread his vile bile and hatred. You are the only respectful neutral person here without any emotional bias. Appreciate that
They are a better answer than the ones playing currently. That’s the point. They are very good players for Pakistani standards and still have an important role in other formats. They are not the answer to Pakistani T20 top order.
thank you, saves looking elsewhere how the Sunday and humiliation went ......
They were chasing an RR of 5. Please try to make sense.Bro, what is strike rate of SKY and Tilak it’s 100. They are ahead because of that cameo from Abhishek.
They are a better answer than the ones playing currently. That’s the point.
The current lot haven’t got it. They are just being forced down our throats.
When better players than Babar and Rizwan come along, they will announce themselves organically and they will take their place on merit just like Babar and Rizwan took the places of those before them.
Guys like Farhan and Haris haven’t got the chops to replace Babar and Rizwan. Some day, some players will. However, that day has not come yet.
And what have Sahibzada and Haris done? The so called modern players who replaced Babar and Rizwan to play modern cricket? If playing for places was a competition, Babar and Rizwan would win hands down.
Anyone in Pakistan can do what Babar and Rizwan do in T20. Play at a SR of 90 and 100 till the 14th over and then have a pained expression when Pakistan end with subpar totals.
The problem is that other players are asked to play at 160 SR to prove that they are better than Rizbar while Rizbar would just come back and play the same lackadaisical way and you would be singing eulogies about their greatness.
I feel you are being intellectually dishonest in praising a duo that plays only for itself when the competition invoked for them has to play at a different standard to kick them out.
I didn't mean it lolThe mentally ill troll whose only job is to rant and rave about Indians is non biased? I knew he would latch onto a new issue to spread his vile bile and hatred.
I have seen many trolls on forums and fans hating each other but none with as much hatred and mental illness as this dude. Plus he is also a coward who blocks people from replying.
I really hope good posters from all countries stop encouraging this dude, its not good for his own mental health.
