We are talking performances on the field in specific format. I am pretty sure Dube has also smoked lot of sixes in Domestic, IPL and in A tours. So there is no question in his ability too. What you do in the international cricket is what matters. And you can’t slate Dube and then hype up Hardik who hasn’t done much than him in the same format. It takes lot of time to develop a hard-hitting all-rounder.
Can't blame Taylor there. He was running out of batting partners.
Lol. Are you sure you’re talking about same IPL 2019 where Dhoni averaged 83 and has a highest score of 84?No Dhoni does not smack any bowler in IPL. No need to invent facts to defend the mediocrity that is Dhoni in T20s.
Don't believe me? Look up Dhoni's IPL number.
So by that logic, Dhawan should be our number one T20 opener as he has showed his hitting in ODIs.Averages at No. 6 doesn't matter for a top heavy side like India where 80% of the time top 1-4 will play most of the balls.
Hardik Pandya is needed for quick fire cameo and though he hasn't set international T20 on fire a set , we all have seen his hitting ability in all 3 formats and more than useful bowling. So, he is India''s No.1 T20 allrounder.

He has way better overall stats than Hardik Sobers in the last 4 years in IPL when he was finished in international cricket.![]()
How? Do you have the same opinion on Dhawan and Dhoni too in T20?Pandya is a solid player to have in your team. T20 stats shouldn't be taken as the be all and end all of everything.

Dhoni apart from 20th over rarely takes off in T20. He needs a lot more time at the crease. Dhawan never plays quickly after power play. Pandya can produce big overs.

After scoring 34 in 10th over, NZ has lost 5 wickets and scored only 33 runs in 43 balls. They only needed 66 from 60 balls.
Told ya.Oh you can. This is T20. Look at how India slowed down from a blistering start. Besides this pitch is a tricky one.
Probably would be a good thing, the team needs to be rebuilt in all formats for the next WC and Test cycle.I'm already dreaming of a whitewash in the ODI and Test series too. Maybe it's too early.
Desperately crying out for a rebuild and investing in young players but nope, more TTFs who aren't good enough for international cricket and senior players hanging around too long.Third successive game where NZ have pulled defeat from the jaws of victory. Seems like that Australian series really knocked the soul out of them.

Still remember the phainta, given to akthar in world cup matchTaylor is an aging stalwart. He cannot do the miracles that he could do back in his hey days. Stil a class batsman. But not the same level.

Playing XI for first ODI now.
Rohit
Shaw
Kohli
Iyer
Rahul(wkt)
______
Jadeja
Thakur/Saini
Kuldeep
Shami
Bumrah
Hopefully not Dube.
Nah, they actually scored 100 in just 5oversyea 81 runs in 7 overs NZ scored
Biggest positive from this series is Shivam Dube's performances. If he gets selected ever again, I might lose hope in humanity. Samson is alright, he will fight his way back to the team some day. But Shrardul is here to stay for a longer run, this gives me a nightmare.

Who is the third guy with Kohli & Williamson?
Lol. Are you sure you’re talking about same IPL 2019 where Dhoni averaged 83 and has a highest score of 84?

Kohli about Kane Williamson
"Kane and me have similar mindsets, similar philosophies. It is amazing that despite being from different parts of the world, we have similar thinking and we speak the same language. Despite what the scoreline suggests, I feel that New Zealand cricket is in the best hands and he is the right guy to lead this team. He is the perfect, perfect man to lead them. I wish him the best of luck and power to lead this side in the future. They are a side everyone loves to watch and play against."
Haha... was that really Kohli? He usually comes from the Dhoni mold - never praise the opposition!
India last T20 series away in SENA countries
won 2-1 against SA
won 2-1 Against England
drew1-1 against Australia
won 5-0 vs NZ
Ye SENA SENA kya hae?
In T20i cricket , the two greatest teams in tje world are (1) Pakistan followed by India.
SENA was never a benchmark to evaluate T20 greatness.
West Indies are no 1. Pakistan and India can fight for the 2d spotYe SENA SENA kya hae?

Same can be said about Pant and Pandya too.Yes he picks and chooses which bowlers.to target in IPL. He goes usually against mediocre domestic trundlers

Are we really putting Pandya and Shivam aka, 'Yuvraj' Dube in the same sentence?1. Pandya is a way better bowler. Both play as the 5th bowler - at least the 6th option for Dube. Pandya gives decent 4 overs @ an ER of 8.35, whereas Dube's ER is greater than 10!!! Pandya Wins by a HUGE margin.
2. Dube hasn't achieved anything with the bat yet. He averages 17 to Pandya's 16. But Pandya's SR is higher by 10. No Difference here
3. Of the innings that Dube has batted, he has played 66% of his matches at no.3 and no.5. (4 out of 9 at no.5). Pandya on the other hand has batted 90% of the times at 5, 6 or 7. (only 10 out of 25 at 3,4,5).
I would expect the batsman getting a chance to bat at 3,4,5 to do a much better job than the one batting at 5,6,7 mostly.
SO, now Pandya wins by a slight margin.
Now, you might say that Dube has only batted in 9 innings to prove anything conclusively. Then we will need to look at domestic T20 figures. And there is only 1 winner there.
So, yes Dube makes Pandya look like Immy.
Are we really putting Pandya and Shivam aka, 'Yuvraj' Dube in the same sentence?
I know Pandya is quite overrated. I'd still take an injured Pandya over a fully fit Dube. The poster dingolfy was suggesting Pandya is not much better than Dube. Just putting that claim straight.

Poor from us. However, till when will we be stuck with Chris Broad? He has been haunting us forever, lol....India have been fined 20 per cent of their match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate against New Zealand in the fifth and final Twenty20 International in Tauranga on Sunday.
Chris Broad of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees imposed the sanction after Rohit Sharma’s side was ruled to be one over short of the target after time allowances were taken into consideration.
In accordance with Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to minimum over-rate offences, players are fined 20 per cent of their match fees for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time.
Sharma pleaded guilty to the offence and accepted the proposed sanction, so there was no need for a formal hearing.On-field umpires Chris Brown and Shaun Haig, and third umpire Ashley Mehrotra leveled the charge.
