India (166/3) defeat England (164/6) in the second T20I to level series 1-1

Lol kohli enjoying home umpiring to the max umpires feel threatened by him they even scared in ipl of him he threatens them he will get them sacked poor umpires

Congrats to India on a deserving win...Just a question out of curiousity...why are there so many Indian players with tattoos? Is it a cultural thing or emulating the West?

In T20s, Kohli can officially retire, we don't need him. Give the captaincy to Rohit and Shreyas/KL can play his anchor role.

Serious question, why do you need an anchor role? If someone is capable of scoring 50(25), I'm sure they're just as capable of scoring 50(40)

I would take Rahul over Babar anyday in T20s. Sr of 143 vs 130. No comparison there. Babar much better than KL in odis and Tests.

1 anchor is fine. But do we have 6 pure hitters like England have?

Playing slow when required is tougher than that

Haha India A team has beaten a full strength best LOI team... congratulations to Indian fans and commiserations to Pakistani fans who were doing bhangra during the last match

Good come back as expected by India. Kohli among the runs while chasing also helps.

Virat Kohli has 50+ average in all three formats of the game in International after his unbeaten 73 against England in second T20.

Commies said not out. Only harsha had doubts. Swann said it was not out. There was a fraction inside the crease.

The commentators paid by the BCCI, who have a history of getting rid of commentators if they're not complimentary enough of the Indian team/following the status quo, said it was not out? I'm shocked... Let me guess, they didn't raise any questions over the Ben Stokes no ball earlier in the innings either?

After T20 WC, probably. But he won't. That'll impact his IPL money probably. All the players want to slowly get out of tests first, then ODIs and T20s in that order as they grow old. After international retirement, they want to hang around in IPL for a couple of years. Probably like Dhoni

Not been impressed at all by either side in the last two T20s. Still a long way to go before the World Cup but these two teams are made out by some to be the greatest things since bread started being sliced. We've had two tame games so far, nothing to dance about in living rooms from either team.

India made a brilliant comeback in the second T20I to level the five-match series 1-1, thanks to action-packed fifties from Virat Kohli and debutant Ishan Kishan.

Ishan Kishan, on debut, displayed an excellent batting performance and found the support of captain Virat Kohli to guide India to victory by seven wickets on Sunday, 14 March.

Kohli spurred India to a comfortable victory with his unbeaten knock of 73 from 49 deliveries, and became the first player to reach 3000 runs in men's T20Is.

England, being asked to bat first, put up a decent score but it wasn't enough to trouble the hosts as the Indian bowlers restricted them to 164/6.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar struck early, in the first over, as he dismissed Jos Butler for a duck with a brilliant in-swinger. England quickly recovered from the early hiccup courtesy of Jason Roy and David Malan. The pair put on a 63-run stand, before Yuzvendra Chahal facilitated the breakthrough after he trapped Malan in front for 24.

Jason Roy fell short of a half-century in consecutive matches after Washington Sundar had him miscue a shot which was well caught by Bhuvneshwar at deep square leg. Suryakumar Yadav made amends for an earlier drop catch after he took a fumbling catch off Sundar’s bowling to remove Jonny Bairstow (20).

Eoin Morgan and Ben Stokes looked to rebuild England’s innings with fast starts, both helped their sides with much-needed twenties but both lost their wickets to Shardul Thakur.

In the chase, India started their innings in a similar fashion to England’s as KL Rahul nicked the ball to Buttler, gifting Sam Curran a wicket-maiden for the first over of the innings.

Kohli joined debutant Kishan at the crease as the duo looked to rebuild the Indian innings, with Kishan in particular, dominated the England bowlers showing no sign of nerves on his debut.

He was well supported by Kohli at the other end as the pair accelerated India's innings. Kishan brought up his maiden half-century in style after thrashing Adil Rashid for back-to-back sixes. The 94-run stand was brought to an end when Kishan was caught lbw attempting to reverse sweep Rashid.

Rishabh Pant accompanied Kohli at the crease and pushed India on the brink of victory with a quickfire knock of 26 runs off 13 balls before falling to Chris Jordan.

The third T20I will be played on Tuesday, 16 March.

He has cross seam, knuckle ball as well

Here he tried only off cutters as pitch is suited for that. Also lefties were there.

He was also India’s highest wicket taker in the historic Gabba test win, besides scoring a half century when India was in trouble in the first innings.

Don't worry. The bread is already sliced. We are just trying alternative Jam Recipes to see which one fits the best and experimenting a bit.

Yes, the bread was sliced on July 6th 1928 so am well aware it is already sliced. Just saying that these teams are both made out to be the greatest things since then - in almost 100 years - and in the last two games I have not seen any evidence of that at all. I won't hold my breath for another 93 years to see their greatness.

Except no one is saying that. You just made that up lol

You are partly right. Both games were one sided. One would expect tighter games between the top two teams in the world. Performances were impressive though. England's bowling in the first game and India's batting in the 2nd. I hope to see a couple of thrilling nail biters.

I don't know about commentators being paid, but such biased comments are hilariously pathetic. Even sites like BBC were saying same thing, are they also paid?

And the funniest thing, way more wrong and umpires call decisions went AGAINST india in thsi match. Considering that such posts are even more funny

India is a very average t20 games. Series wins in bilaterals where most teams don't play their strongest players don't count. We have been carrying the likes of dhawan for ages who don't belong in t20.

Only way we will do well in world cup is if our young guns click and are established

India have been fined for maintaining slow over-rate in the 2nd T20 International against England at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. "India have been fined 20 per cent of their match fees for maintaining a slow over-rate against England in the second T20I in Ahmedabad on Sunday," the International Cricket Council (ICC) said in a release. India were ruled to be one over short of the target after time allowances were taken into consideration, the ICC added. India captain Virat Kohli pleaded guilty to the offence and accepted the proposed sanction.
