India (247/9) crush England (97) by 150 runs in the 5th T20I to seal the 5-match series 4-1

Last year when we had all these crazy scores in the IPL and Abhishek Sharma was doing this along with Travis Head I was like Meh there’s no way Abhishek’s ever going to do it in international cricket.

He came to international cricket and did ‘IT’ against Zimbabwe. Then I was like ok there’s no way he’s doing it against a quality international bowling line up.

Today he’s done ‘IT’ against Adil Rashid spin bowling and Mark Wood/Jofra Archer bowling 150kph.

Unbelievable stuff

Abhishek Sharma has destroyed Adil Rashid tonight.

This is crazy batting.

Adil Rashid is one of the best spinners ever in LOI cricket

I have been following him since the under-19 days. He was more like a calculated consolidator with aggression against spin. He gradually evolved.

“One of the great T20 innings. Struggle to remember one better than that”. KP

How has he forgotten Babar’s 40 off 40 against USA?

This has been great entertainment from India but my advise is please don't try it too often. You cant go into a match without a couple of anchors in the line up. Sure it came off today but it might not always. Then what will you guys do?

It's like driving your car really fast without a seat belt. You can have a thrilling time but the consequences are severe if things go wrong.

Please apply the same approach to T20 cricket and play with seat belts on :bobs :rizwan

Buttler will thoroughly enjoy this pitch. Salt may come good finally. Also India is fielding a semi fit Shami who is not a good T20 bowler anyway.

Abhishek and Jaiswal may open if Sanju keeps failing. But i think they will back him as he is a six hitter. So is Jaiswal though

His batting style is suited to 20 20 . Indian selectors need to built separate teams to give players more clarity
jaiswal will be drafted in to odis too once mota bhai is done (hopefully after ct).in t20s once rohit and kohli are out, there are multiple options for every spot with lots of youngsters.almost everyone is going at others throat for a position. I can say almost 15 to 16 good players are vying for a spot in t20s.

In odis and tests, it will be interesting with few other names like sai sudarshan, padikkal, jurel etc will be popping up.

Why is Sunil Gavaskar allowed to do commentary for T20 matches?

He’s still living in the 80s

Abhishek Bachchan is too fast for T20 cricket; he should take notes from Babar and Rizwan on how to pace an innings.

Yup Has to master the art of "finding the gaps" . I remember one babar fan telling sometime back Finding gaps for fours = hitting sixes
It’s something we may not be aware of, but RizBar fans certainly are never underestimate the power of rizbar fans.

Shami is used to get back into some sort of rhythm. But run up usually gives the idea how fit the bowler is. He is struggling to get to the crease.

This is a dead rubber game. England are not playing their main team. India are the home team.

India played well today but that doesn't mean they are favorites for CT 2025. India is a mid-tier team in Test and borderline mid-tier in ODI.

It is one thing to dominate in Mickey Mouse T20 but it is another thing to dominate in Test/ODI.
