West Indies won the toss and elected to field

Match delayed by rain

43 overs a side

West Indies Team
E Lewis, KOA Powell, SD Hope†, JN Mohammed, RL Chase, JL Carter, JO Holder*, AR Nurse, D Bishoo, AS Joseph, ML Cummins

India Team
AM Rahane, S Dhawan, V Kohli*, Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni†, KM Jadhav, HH Pandya, R Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, B Kumar, UT Yadav

Rahane looking good. Kohli happy to rotate the strike for now. Be interesting to see what India think a good score is in this shortened game.

West Indies' abject surrender on display that's why hardly any interest ita just to fill up pockets of WICB

Alas WI should have prepared sporting tracks #bouncy

Rahane accelerating well here. Doubt Pant will get a game with the form Dhawan and Rahane are in.

If one of Hardik, MSD, or Yuvi fires there's no reason why they can't.

With the way Kohli and Rahane are playing and also as only 14 overs are remaining, I don't think they will even get a chance to bat. Expecting a hundred form Kohli.

This indian batting line up will be further exposed during their tour of South Africa and England for Test Series within 1 year.

India still could not post 339 despite playing 2 matches since CT Final. Even in previous match they were 199/3 in 40 overs. So they wudnt have hit 339.

But India has 1 billion people! Indian team still has stars, almost identical to the CT team.

Did the final scar you guys that much?

It's not the finals.

We all know what the oldies and TTF's can do in ODI's. So no excitement. If Pant was playing, more people would tune in to see how he performs.

Chalo, at least Dhoni finishes with 100 s/r.

Yet another pathetic innings. But he is not out. That should boost his average.

This is a 43 over match bhaijan and how many times has Pakistan crossed 339 in its history??

Still fact is they did not hit 339. It is a 43 over match so they had to play aggressive in any case. During last match they knew it was 50 over game so they played accordingly and ended up 199/3 in 40. So no excuses janab. Pakistan has crossed 339 several times in their history, against sri lanka in 1996, against india 344, against england, against nzl, against bangladesh etc etc. they have crossed it many times mate

India have crossed 400 many times mate, a feat never done by Pakistan in its history. So, don't understand your infatuation about 300 plus scores which are the norm nowadays.

A few points: Dhawan looks great to watch when in he's in pomp like this. Rahane looked his efficient best. Kohli again showing he's the most reliable batsman in this side. Yuvi and Dhoni looked average, again.

It'll be interesting to see how the bowlers go.

How many times india has crossed 400 outside their flat track belters in india? Well Answer is only once and that was against mighty Bermuda

How does it matter? Scoring 400 is a big enough feat on its own.

Ok sure but where was Team India's 400 in ICC Champions Trophy final 2017 ? Where was 400 in 2003 world cup final chase and 2015 world cup semi final chase. Your team is flat travk bully, historically indian team has always struggled to post high totals in big encounters. Remember Eden Gardens Semi final 1996? Or Wankhede semi final 1987?

Who is the other commentator with Harsha now?
Really calm voice and talks sense, is it Jadeja?

Hope is a good player, did read Kuldeep easily in his first ever, let's see how it goes.

Hope's looking good. A very nice prospect who's finally starting to put it together. Ashwin 's better today, but not great, still bowling too many balls with negative lines. That carrom ball looks good though- shame we didnt see it in the CT. I think what he needs is time out of the side.

Hope gone. Solid debut from Kuldeep so far. Kohli's got his arm around him again- he's clearly fond of the kid. seems to give credit to the reports that Kohli/Kumble rift involved the decision of selecting/not selecting Kuldeep in the 3rd test against AUS.

Good to see Hope in the runs. Holder again bringing down the team with his dibbly dobblies. Gabriel missing out is a huge blow. They've gotta introduce young pacers now to build some bench strength.

Beyond me why Chase is batting at #7. He's your gun batsman you tools.

Get Hetmyer in for Powell or Carter. Powell is not suited for LOIs and Carter is crap, period.

Yeah, Chase is the best batsman in this team. Also a decent bowler- Not given a bowl either. Foolish stuff.

WI should look to bat out remaining overs and get some practice , that is the best they can do at the moment

No need to have Pandya bowl to the WI. One should save him for better opposition. We don't want him injured.

Kuldeep should be made regular in this OD line up , he can be wicket taking option in middle overs

Holder should bat 1-4. Too often he comes in with WI having to accelerate madly, which results in him slogging and getting out. Better to have him come in early and set the tone and tempo. He's a better batsmen than most of West Indies' top order.

Carter was awful. Haven't seen such clueless batting in a while.

Kohli's acceleration was amazing, though WI's bowling (especially Holder) was inept and helped him tremendously. Dohni and UV need to retire and only Kohli will be able to push them into retiring. This should be their last tours.
