One thing i noticed, not sure if any one else.
India always gets bagged for the pitches and i do not disagree on this, my personal opinion am sick of the spin pits which spin miles from day one session one - Kolkata test vs saf being prime example.
I would say the same if India won the Kolkata test vs SAF.
But this Ranchi wicket was wonderful. It was even paced, quality bounce if quicks bent their back, swing on offer, it seamed after pitching and i suppose if there was lesser dew on offer, especially in the 2nd innings possibly some more assistance for spinners (albeit that would we'd've won by a bigger margin

but thats another discussion for another day).
It defo was not a low bounce spin snake forest that generally indian pitches are associated with.
The key was good even bounce and pace, that in itself makes for a compelling contest.
If the SAF top order had got out to spinners, the whole world and their khalujaan in tow would have screamed from rooftops : ' pitches in india are rigged to suit spinners/bcci >ICC the whole samosaidlivadapaavchaat'....
but here the SAF top order got out to excellent pace bowling and pressure from indian pacemen. SAF batsmen are used to such conditions, born and brought up in such conditions. They should be scoring 100's for fun in such conditions, the TO should have scored a Gadzillion in the PP.
Why the fridge does no SAF or any other media/TV commie praise the pitch? Is'nt this pitch an ideal pitch?
Am not playing the indian victim card, never will - but surely there are times when credit should be forth coming but does not arrive.
Is there only one direction of thought and perception when it comes to Indian pitches?
