India (385/9) complete a 3-0 whitewash by defeating New Zealand (295) by 90 runs in the 3rd ODI

And people had the audacity to compare SKY with a generational talent like ABD. ABD had all the shots plus the 360° degree shots as a bonus. SKY is very limited in range of shots and depends on those elaborate unorthodox ones which kind of masked his limitations for a while.

An avg of 30 for a lower order bastman is not mediocre. Yes, he has potential to be better but we need to be patient. He has hardly got chances. If we need to compete with batting powerhouses like ENg we need batters like SKy down the order to up the ante between 30-40th overs.

He has pacing issues. He exclusively tries to score off of fancy shots.

From the position India were in after 30 overs, they are atleast 50 runs short. But it could have been even worse, so no complaints.
 
NZ cricket is on a decline. Once the likes of Williamson, Boult and Southee goes, they will be like present day Srilanka.

In 5 years time, only 3 proper international teams will remain - Ind, Eng & Aus with Pakistan as 4th side in white ball format.

Players from remaining countries will only focus on leagues.
 
such a rubbish stadium. has tiny boundaries and then quarter of the field is occupied by the practice pitches. flat track too.
 
Cricviz giving us only 55 % chance of defending this and NZ 42% chance of chasing this.

Historically, there have been 4 chases in India that took place at the required rate for this chase.

NZ should win this considering the attack we are playing.
 
sometimes i think the amount of traffic guys like hardik-cannot bowl cannot bat dude and rishabh-cannot keepcannot bat dude get on this site...read that bhaag VB dude who always bhaag gaya when india do well...is so overrated.
still feel most sides would want to have guys like these in their sides,than not....
And irrespective of what happens inthe next 50 overs, where is the Aman from nz dude - 'it does not matter till NZ win, everything else is a meaningless odi dude?' i still feel NZhave a real chance in this game...will be interesting

And in all of these innings they ended up short runs wise considering the start they got.
 
The way Chahal is inducted into XI is amazing to say the least as if he is the default option for selection!
 
Can almost guarantee if NZ are 100/0/1/2 in 15th over and doing well....the true locals on this site who are curently missing will be out in fine voice...
 
So Hardik cant bat and can't bowl but hits a 50 and picks a wicket. Should be nothing short of a miracle then.

but yeah...he's long due a matchwinning spelll in white ball cricket for us

Looks like India have changed their ODI batting mindset. They're going hard from the outset.

The boundaries at this ground are small, but there's a growing sample size of big totals now.

The question whether the surfaces will be as batting friendly in the World Cup ? The pitches in ENG prior to the 2019 World Cup were nothing like what we saw during the tournament.

Massive hype on 'small boundaries' in this match as well as a previous one. .....how small is small....what do you put in perspective....is auckland's eden park, a rugby ground small....what about hamilton, napier...wellington-the cake tin...Dunedin -anyone? would you care comment on the smallness of these grounds?

Defending this total with any one of Chalal, Thakur , Umran , Pandya is one big of task , with all 4 here it will be a monumental effort if india wins , its almost equal to winning Test series in SENA 😑😑😑
 
NZ have been quite ordinary in this series. But, that's understandable considering they are not playing some of their main players.

Umran and Pandya are okayish bowlers just like Sundar.

Apart from Kane , Boult almost all main players are playing , who do u miss

Kane in ODI cricket is not at the level of Kohli or Rohit. He is mostly at the level of Dhawan or even lower( going by career stats).

Southee also in ODI cricket is not at the level of Bumrah. He averages 33 in ODIs.

Boult is the only one that could cause a difference but India also don't have Bumrah. In this game, India doesn't have Shami and Siraj also.

This is a flat wicket. Every bowler will go for runs.

Umran, Pandya and Sundar are very good utility bowlers. In case of Pandya and Sundar, they can bat also which is additional bonus in this all rounder starved Indian lineup.
 
The South African Conway is a better Kiwi ODI bat than Kane imo.

You seem to be the lucky mascot for India mate. You said hardik cannot bat or bowl and he did both. Now Shardul too has picked 2 wickets. Please say something about Umran too. We need a tearway bowler in the CWC.

Same Thakur has been carted around mercilessly for 2 consecutive 4s in the same over.

So before eulogising a player, hold your horses.
 
Chahal should be phased out of the team. Passed his skills as a bowler, never had any variations to being with and on top of that cant hold the bat and a total liability on field. I don't think he merits a place inthe side. If we need a leggie, Ravi Bishnoi is a better option - got excellent googly, gun fielder and can bat too
 
So you agree with Agarkar that Chahal is tonight's best bowler?
