Well, well...Bresnan has took out Gambhir's middle stump but the batsman was backing away and the umpire calls dead ball. The batsman wasn't looking up as Bresnan ran in. England aren't convinced by that at all

I see ENG players are trash talking as usual...

Does it ring any BELL's :D

Dhoni and Fletcher better lock themselves in or they will calling back GG @ drinks break...

Finn is clocking 150kph......

3.3 Finn to Patel, no run, 150.4 kph, driven awkwardly up to mid-off, Finn has found a good length

5.2 Finn to Gambhir, no run, 150.8 kph, pushed across the left hander and left alone

Gambhir should have been out. He didn't indicate anything to Bresnan, Rahane or the umpires. Dreadful cricket and weak officiating, nothing else.

Agree but ENG dont have leg to stand on after Bell...

Guess every oppo against them will be employing the same ploy against them now that they set the precedent.

They have only themselves to blame on this...

Can't deny what you've said, but this was soooo out

Ball is not carrying even for Finn .
We need to safely negotiate Swann

Trottski trying to distract the bats :D

England feeling the heat or is the lunch time curry that's giving them burns ??

Might just be a close game. Really tense atmosphere.

Reckon there will be more than just a few words exchanged today...

Think the best of "I am annoying GG" will be on display today....

We are missing Barbie and UV in the game, now that would have made it for a perfect fight night :D

Talking of annoying, which of the oppo's players could you have a pint with?

My nominees from the England boys (current squad)

* Swann- would be a great character and have the crowd in splits
* Fat Sam- For no other reason than that he looks like he enjoys more than an odd pint :D
* KP- for he's certainly capable of "larging it up", though looks like the guy who would sly out to the loos when it is his round to buy!!!

From cricbuzz

Swann to Gambhir, 1 run, the English are appealing for everything now. First for LBW and then for a run-out. Neither of them is out. Gambhir playing a dangerous late cut from the stumps and some good work from Dernbach - diving to his right at backward point, nearly casued a confusion there, but Virat Kohli was well in by the time Kies dragged the throw back onto the stumps.

I've decided after the last year of PakPassion that E.M. Forster was right. Most Indians have no banter.

In other news, we gonna looooose.

Jeez mate, I am trying to give you some company here! Now you have hurt my inner feelings :(

in other news, it aint over till it is over...

Its a real pleasure to watch Kohli bat. What an elegant stroke maker. Not a slogger like Raina.

During my stay at PP, I guess, the PP'ers are always right...England Fans are cry babies...hows that for Banter..? :))

:po:

Raina is a power hitter unlike Kohli :19:
how many times we ahve seen kohli timing it well and getting caught at the boundary and compare it with Raina.

I know he is a power hitter, but still that comes across as slog. And being a slogger isn't a bad thing. I consider him as OD specialist who is good at what he does, that is hit hard.

Where as Kohli is the one for all formats, in time he'll show it.

We're at the same point England started to stumble, crucial period this. These 2 should get us to 160-170 at least.

English MEN...getting desperate...Its just the 2nd ODI..
We need some fight guys..

aha its been a while I know but lets not get over the top. Its not over till its over.

One whitewash here will erase all the pain.
But in England almost all the matches are quite close. :23:

I don't know how the hack raina can be a slogger. He isn't naturally talented, i would agree with that. But this kid has more determination than anyone in the bench.

Swann to Virat Kohli, no run, Swann didn't get anything on it. It was straight driven and deflected onto the stumps via Gambhir's bat. Swann - ever the entertainer appeals even though he is lying flat on the ground. He was miles away from the ball. He sure sees the funny side of it. The umpire doesn't and that's what matters.

My favorite England player after Bell :23:

We are in for an easy victory if these two continue for some more time

India will have to produce a South Africa style choke here to lose this one.

Any1 know what barbie's been bit***g offlate?

her last rant was @ the local commentators...

Wonder what she thinks of normal folks thoughts when visiting the Geordie shore...??

148/2 after 25 overs..

will be sweet if we win before 40 overs :23::23:

Swanny kicking the turf yet?

Howz the chirping going on? Trottski still trying his best to imitate a cricket??

This must be embarrasing for England.

At least India gave them some competition in the ODIs in England.

Not surprised even Ireland stunned them in the WC.

AS I have allways said english bowlers are overated. They depend to much on a greenish top with clouds around.

If you wan't to be no.1 in ODI's you have to win and play well in all conditions.
