England (337/4) defeat India (336/6) by 6 wickets to win 2nd ODI - Series level at 1-1

There you go

Another 4 and Mumbai Indians will be concerned with Rohit’s injury

Was secretly hoping England chase whatever India sets under 40 overs to teach the airheads in the management a lesson when Kohli and Rahul were meandering aimlessly at 4.5 an over.

Didn't imagine England would chase 340 under 40 overs lmao..

Reminds me of that Trent Bridge game against Pakistan where Eng scored 444. Had Eng batted first...they would have posted similar total here too. Tremendous hitting

No it remind me of worldcup 2019 game where pak outbated england on flat wicket 🤫

Pity.

Deserved a hundred but an incredible knock nonetheless.

Bhuvi proving his worth. But it is still a one-way traffic for England.

Deserved a hundred. Great innings in recent times.

Think Eng were just trying to get it done before useless bhai gets in.

If England sort out their bowling attack. It will be tough to stop them in the next ODI WC as well. :inti

Do you mean Stokes? :yk
Because if you do then you are totally clueless

Is stokes better than Rohit, Kholi and Dhawan who are specialist batsmen? Yes he is probably a better batsman than Rahul who is hit and miss but surely not the other 3.

He's got 2 90s in clutch games in the last 3 ODIs he played. One was a WC final. So yeah, he's right up there with the best.

Stokes at his best can Rival the greatest of all time and yeah he was at his best today.

Now you know. :steyn

Not really. If you cant defend 330 then blame the bowlers rather than batting approach...lol. The way Eng going today they can chase 400 too. So you want our batsmen to post 400 on board now? Cricket is not played like that.

Indias ODI batting approach is perfect. Its the bowlers who had a bad game today...thats all.

extremely average bowling attack England will chase it down very easily

It is a weakened attack but a weakened Indian attack is still strong. England have played brilliantly and once again showed why they are the batting benchmark in white ball cricket.

India can't score 400 but 350 was probably par here.

Butler should not have missed that straight yorker.. I guess he switched off

One of my office mate is going crazy. Just for his sake....I hope Eng wins today. Poor guy :(

Time to flip side again😂😂 Win win for you

LOL, Eng will be in trouble if they need to rely on that useless Moeen Ali to take them home. What a rubbish player.

Not taking any sides here. I am just enjoying some glorious cricket between two incredibility talented teams.

Regardless of the outcome today or in the final ODI, I am enjoying some brilliant exhibition of ODI cricket.

A couple more wickets here and both teams can take away something from the game. 50 from here is easy for the rest of the batsmen.

If England top order fails , the middle will be shattered , England need Root in at number 3 to be better team

Indian strategy/template is fine, but they need to pick proper specialist bowlers. Things will improve once Bumrah, Shami & Jadeja get back... Also not a bad idea to call back Ashwin at least for ODIs...

Indians were targeting Butler's leg stump throughout the series. There's obvious weakness there. But this Yorker early on in the innings could have gotten most batsmen out

This is a much needed thrashing for India. I am rooting for England to thoroughly humiliate them. This was a rubbish English attack. 338 on this pitch against them is nothing given that India will defend under lights.

If Krishna keeps bowling well, Shami isn't coming back

Pandya should bowl if India have any chance of winning this...

Weak looking bowling attack for England India’s top order should’ve done better.

Bowl out Bhuvi and Krishna here. Wickets are a premium. Runs ain't at this point.

338 was an under-par score. If India had played the middle overs more diligently then the chase would have been 375 for England and that would have been an extremely close match.

That's OK, my point was about proper bowlers (wicket taking bowlers). That is the only way you can stop teams like England (IMO, only England can be a threat to India in ODIs on flat pitches. NZ can trouble on seaming pitches and WI may trouble in T20s...) So stack the team with proper bowlers (Ashwin should come back in ODIs..)

Seems like poor captaincy not to continue with Kumar and try and take another wicket or two. This really shouldn't go 50 overs, so why try and smuggle overs in now?

Bowl them out and if they don't work, well it's unlikely to arrest the situation bringing them back further down the line.

Edit: Kumar returns as I post ha ha...

Six too lol

Just a reminder: Moeen Ali gave one boundary off his ten and that was off a misfield by Stokes.

I distinctly remember Kuldeep Yadav being the next big thing in Indian cricket. Look at him now. This is why you have to be careful before hyping every shiny, new toy to the moon.

Bhuvi has been the best bowler on either side in the white ball games and Livingstone on debut is taking him to the cleaners, wow.

Livngstone running down the track to Bhuvi, say what you want about indias "fearless" batsmen but these englishmen are on par if not ahead of the game.

Livingstone instead of playing it safe and guiding England home, is thrashing the bowling because he knows a 25 off 40 balls not out isn't going to do anything for his career here. But a 40 off 25 balls will put him in contention for a middle order spot.

There are too many next big things in Indian cricket these days. It's overwhelming. :inti

Glad this Bhuvi guy is being taught some session....can't tolerate him man dunno why

Trundler Kumar should have been hit for more sixes. This is unacceptable from England.

Moen is a very useful 2 dimensional player, but needs consistency in his batting.

This England batting line up is scary and unbelievably good in ODI cricket even last game they messed up themselves.
