Hmm. Back in 1984, England won the test series 2-1 and the ODI series 4-1. In those days Gower and Gatting etc. could play on slow turners and our spinners knew how to contain on them. These boys don't seem to know how.
Perhaps British wickets are too homogenous these days, so the players don't learn the skills of their 'forefathers'.
