India v Pakistan | Semi-Final | U19 World Cup | Potchefstroom | 4th Feb, 2020 | India innings

Thanks to U19 coach Rahul Dravid for recognizing
Road side pani puri seller and the guy who lived in road side tents in Mumbai …. Jaiswal

:14: :14: :14:

Australian opening bowler bowled only at 125kph. But he hit immaculate line and length hardly gave anything away.

No matter whether it’s the senior team or the U19s, Pakistan can’t beat India in a World Cup. It’s pathetic just how mentally weak Pakistanis are.

It doesn't matter if it is our U19 team or the senior one, they just can't handle the pressure of facing India in a WC.

If we face them in the upcoming WT20, then I am afraid, the outcome will be the same.

I have played only once with one of my pakistan colleague. I think it forces you to play stroke play like afridi .You pick up a lot of loose shots . Tennis ball cricket perfects your batting technique. Tendulkar anytime before touring Australia would face wet tennis ball from 15 yards. to get the feel of it.

Of course, you wouldn't see people playing hardball in the streets otherwise given how wild the gully cricket is, There would be way more deaths and property damage.

After 28 overs, I don’t think we have seen a single error of judgement. The bowling is garbage, but you have to admire the judgement and concentration of these young kids. Incredible.

When was the last time pakistan won a limited overs odi series vs Eng, Aus, Nz or SAF? Anyone?? I remember one against saf in 2013, one against Australia in 2002, maybe 2009 ** Nz. In 2005 vs eng. Anything recent?

These stats are pretty mediocre for a top nation. India on the other hand regularly hammers teams home and away in odis if not tests.

Pakistan needs to fix its domestic system if it wants to compete with big teams. You guys decorate a mediocre player like afridi to a legends status. Thats the reason why pakistan keep producing average players with no real performance.

More than anything i am really impressed how calm & composed this Indian team is, even at this age-group level ... its amazing how well they strategize to pace their innings & also maintain their discipline in pressure situations. The U-19 Indian players already seem to be finished products.

Pakistan really need to work on mental aspects of game.. this jazba junoon talks before game doesn't help. Players should be kept away from media. Not like here where pak captain was giving interview to private channel & all talks were surrounding on jazba & junnon.. unnecessary pressure & hyping up leads to such brainfades.. even pak team coach was giving interview to private channel about how well pak team can beat india... meanwhile indian team is through nd through professional no braggadocio before the game.. no unnecessary jibes..

Looks like our bowlers are even worse!!!!Apart from Haider, Haris, little bit Qasim and Rohail none has future. Huraira not sure about him.

If Shaw & Gill shown immaculate stroke play in last world cup, Jaiswal is showing text book test match technique. Not sure if we can blame Pak bowlers totally...this is batting of very high quality.

We unearthed couple more batsmen? thode ache bowlers bhi miljate ready to b drafted kind..

The difference is in the mental state.

The pak players are clearly mentally weaker then the indian players.

Don't think any one has potential to play for national team

Our players and fans are only good at running their mouths, while the Indian team does the talking on the pitch.

Massive gulf in class.

Name the fans who were hyping up this Pakistan team in comparison to the Indian team?

Another U19 WC win for India but these players hardly ever go on to play for India.

Pant, Shaw, Gill, Nagarkoti, Mavi.. all are doing pretty well.

Besides, they will be given a window to mature as Cricketers. Not a good idea to draft them in straightaway.

Head to Head record in U19 World Cups

Total 9 matches
Pakistan won 5 times
India won 4 times

After this match it will be 5-5

You may not have watched Tyagi bowl. He looked seriously good. Bishnoi and Sushant were impresive as well.

Rahul +Ganguly are doing wonders for indian cricket.
Some day Sachin and Viru join Rahul and Ganguly.

I was talking in general. For such a mediocre cricket nation, our fans exhibit excessive arrogance.

As far as this particular match is concerned, you can visit the prediction thread and you will see quite a few arrogant posts.

Their are plenty..some had already declared indian batting a no match for pak batting.. lot of hyping up was going on.. even with the bowling all talks was about 140kph+ bowlers..

50/5 and the game is on
Let's see

I thought we'd easily score 220.
Our batting is not bad at all.

Pakistan's immediate target should be 3/30 after 10 overs. Then choke them with some consistent bowling. I know many have lost hope but we can win this if play to a plan. It's just u19 and kids can wilt under pressure! Indian batting is also not as good as its bowling anyway.

India 128/0 :)))

Why are you blaming the passion of the fans? Are you suggesting the fans should give up cricket altogether? Pakistan for all its flaws brings a beautiful flavor to the game which makes it only richer.

Looking at Asia cup 2019 final scorecard

Only three batsmen(top 7) in that playing 11 are playing right now. Two bowlers and still won the Asia Cup

Let us know what you want Pak fans to do. We’d take your opinion into serious consideration.

Passion is one thing but being arrogant and overconfident despite being absolutely mediocre is another thing.

Gill made his debut against NZ and looked like an absolute joker. Babar played against NZ early in his career and was scoring runs for fun there so the comparison between Gill and Babar is useless.

You may not have watched Tyagi bowl. He looked seriously good. Bishnoi and Sushant were impresive as well.

Yeah , meant ready to be drafted kind, we had better bowlers last time but sadly injured, hoping they get fit soon, I think we are near though to have bowlers.. system is getting better.

If PCB is smart they will separate Haider, Qasim and Haris from this lot, polish them and make ready for our senior team. Rest are not good enough. Huraira needs more matches to judge and Rohail are very average.

Has Pak beaten India in any game in any format in any age group since that CT Final? Looks like all one sided victory for India since.
Mamoon :srini

i don't think even Shafi was expecting this.

Absolute jokers these lot

That fluke will remain our last win over India for a long time.

You'd expect Rohail Nazir to be experienced at this level given its his second WC but he looks clueless.

Be sensible and not overhype trundlers which give you reality check in matches like these where you end up praying for just one wicket

A little bit of encouragement should always be provided to upcoming players. I saw people hyping up Hurraira over the moon and honestly I too cringed a bit. But here’s the thing, the alternative is worst.

I’m just glad to see sticky thread we rarely get it coz we don’t play Pak much.
choti Khushiyaan

This becoming equally embarrassing like 2018 SF. Expected India to win, but at least a decent contest should be there. Also, not sure why PAK U19 opted to bat first here - Ijaz is the coach and he is from that school of. 90s - still believes in batting first, scrap a total and bowlers will win it Larke Lenge style. Batting first, IND U19 could have posted 300+ also, but at least that would have been a logical call.

It was 5-0 to Pakistan and then india started winning

He's not wrong.

where's mavi and nagarkoti now?
Compare them with Shaheen and Naseem

Mavi and Nagarkoti weren't the only ones in that team. Gill and Shaw are in the test squad just recently announced.

The 2016 team had Pant. Khaleel. Washington Sundar.

So clearly they develop players for the senior team.

With consecutive title wins in 2004 and 2006, Pakistan became the first and the only side then to defend their title successfully.

Pakistan - 2004, 2006
India - 2000, 2008, 2012, 2018

Dravid should be given double payment than the senior team coach. And if he can do this for another 3-4 years it becomes systematization. Also, it would make the senior team selection so easy. Hope India gets some bowlers too under him by the time he gives up his job. One has to be so patient to identify, teach, refine young cricketers and that definitely befits Dravid's persona for which he was known as 'THE WALL.'

Where are players from U19 WC 2012? Last time I heard about Unmukt Chand, he was playing in Dhaka league. Same about Vijay Zol who was apparently the next Lara.

i was there when they were playing in the WC but they were being hyped as much as the batsmen and you can't deny that.

India hasn't developed their u19 bowlers as well as they should have

I am seriously disappointed with the Pak bowlers- no speed nor precision. Whats happening to our pace factory?

:14: :14: :14:

This is THAT guy. Didn't realize. He's got all the training he needs to be unflustered which he has been today.
