SL 880 in 17.4 overs.

گدھے کے سر سے سینگ کہاں گئے؟

1/117 at lunch

We can deduce that this mystery Indian wicket which might aid seam and swing, might bounce, who knows, is actually.......FLAT.

What a surprise eh

The only wickets they can make, the place is hot and humid, its difficult to make grassy pitches.

Yaar but they roll up before every Test match and say the wicket will "have something in it for the bowlers, should help the seamers" and it never does.

Just funny to observe. Like how the WACA always says Perth is going to be fast wicket like the old days and then roll out a road.

Did you see the match before this lame comment of yours ? The ball has started to turn nice and there is a lot of bounce in it. This is not a flat pitch by any measure. Lots of playing and missing already. :afridi

1/117 after 27 overs. On the first morning.

It's a total minefield.

Or are your bowlers just rubbish? :Sami

You can say a lot by just looking at the score. It doesn't need to make any sense though.

By the time you posted this comment, batting was already difficult for the batsmen. Test match is played for five days and its idiotic to pass judgement after two hours of play. You should have learned that in the Kanpur test. You fail.

Neither. You need to watch more test cricket.

im very happy to see kulsekra back in the team. inshallah he will be the one that would be taking wickets for srilanka.

Well he isnt called 'The_Bunny' for no reason, Owned 10 times and awaiting more :D...

We need to break this partnership a few more wickets and we can wrap this up under 300...

Seriously the top 4 batsmen really missed out, I mean if guys like Mathews can score.......

Dilshan unlucky I actually feel bad, if only we got away with these decisions when we were playing OZ...

Nigel long shame on you . I met darren gough during the ashes and he was adamant that english and aussie umpires are the best and should be standing in ashes.

Yeah the 99 tour of Oz was the most painful as I had to watch these kind of decisions happen to Sachin given by the crusaders...

We somehow really need to pick up at least a couple of wickets by the end of today's play. Would hate watching SL bat for more than a couple of hours tomorrow.

Get Sreesanth on, he can't be tired only bowled 12 overs, looked good in the afternoon.

Just letting the game drift away here.

Lankan Tail wagging like crazy here, not good....Come on boys keep thw wickets coming..

even stevens day ... funnily the turn has gone from the track and the bounce is also under check .. guess it must be the early moisture

I feel it will break 4th day onwards.

we took 8 wickets but lankans have scored a lot of runs already... but it shouldn't be a problem with the batting lineup we have...

i didn't get to watch the match but it appears that it favoured the spinners from the very first session!!!
i reckon murali and herath will look to come out and attack !!!!
and murali+ herath > harbhi + ojha imo but then agaon our batsmen are very good at spin...

Even Stevens??
Did you see the score 366 on day 1 is NOT even Stevens.
The pitch is wearing and very rapidly that score will weight itself to the 500s on day 2 and 3 as India succumbs and might possibly follow on.

The luck, as usual, was with India but we have a few runs on the board. If we can scrape to 400 then I would put us 60-40 in charge of this game. At the moment it's even stevens. I hope the pitch gives way on days 3, 4 and 5 which will help the likes of Murali and Herath but I wont hold my breath.

i saw the match on tv by the end of the session the ball stopped turning rapidly.

I have played at brabourne before myself for college tournaments. the moisture helps spinners and seamers. Sea breeze is also important.

the pitch will demolish but at day 4 afternoon day 2 and 3 should be decent (not flat but decent)

sure but i take payments for my autograph ..why? didnt get any ads and ipl was not existing at my time

dude i used to stay in mumbai so brabourne wankhede azad maidan dadar GBO/matunga gymkhana were regular places to play

i have played in few outside the city as well

dadar GBO was worst of them all ... complete stones at one end super rocky... we used to let the ball go for a boundary rather than attempting a dive :))

azad maidan was at times structured in such a way (it is oval ..hope you know) that if the batsman had just timed the ball just enough it was a nightmare chasing till the end only for ump to declare it as a boundary after you had run about 70+ m :)

Dilshan is missing referral system. Dilshan says "If the referral system was there, I would still be batting. I wanted to bat all day and put pressure on India but unluckily I got out at a crucial time,".

Dilshan should know this was the reason referral system was not accepted by BCCI. How else will India rise up to no 1 ranking? They got ICC in their pocket and dictate all the rules. So sad for cricket. Flat track bully no. 1 . lol

If murali stays around for a while with matthews then sri lanka are looking at a score near to 450. Which would put pressure on the indian batting lineup. Especiaaly on the debutant.

Dude, with your current batting line up, you guys should be the last fans in the world to take digs at batting line up from other countries, not even Bangladesh.

Read carefully. You will know which line up I am laughing at.

Come on lets finish this off 2 more boyzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... Dont let the tail Waggggggggggggggg........

Sehwag is taking it easy, leaving deliveries and scoring slow. Those who say he is just a slogger, take note.

Evil Empire 0/92. Looking good for one of the most cynically engineered climbs to number 1 in the world I have seen......if Oz want the ranking back we shall just schedule 5 consecutive series at home eh? Regardless of that, it will be taste for India of where they aim to be.

Although it is fun to hack on Indian crew about their rank pitches, one thing that is readily apparent from series between these 2 teams is unless a bowler produces something out of the ordinary neither team's bowlers are anywhere near as good as their batsmen. Would be interesting to see the average batter score in SL/India Tests over the past 10 years cos I imagine it would be very high.

Wonder where those rankings go if Oz win 2 series 3 nil this summer? To me looks like we would be close to 1 again. But anyway, sets the scene for an awesome clash between India and South Africa home and away to decide the number 1 team. Unless Oz are there first :P

Well it was all planned by Indian Cricket council. The only way to milk more cash out

Yeah you can schedule 5 on the trot in Oz just hope your opponent is not India. This time without your crusader Bucknor you will be handed a gauranteed series defeat...
