He's improved his control and is using his brain more mixing up his pace, line and throwing in the quicker ball. Nothing against him but this is normal spin bowling which shouldn't be difficult for International batsmen to cope with.

Watch him against Mahela he looks average, others make him look like the magician which is why some Indian fans are getting confused

Better they should have fixed the match in advance for 30 overs per side, to make sure that Rain doesn't spoil the match. That's better than match getting washed off due to rain with Srilanka's full 50 overs + India's 18 overs, and Finals Berth is based on league standings.
