Let's be honest, by no means he is exceptional. The point is he used to be a player (during his early days) in the mold of Shoaib Malik - a complete waste. He has come a long way to prove that he is a very competent player with both the ball and the bat, and he certainly deserves a place in the Indian team purely on merit. That's my point. During his early days we used to make fun of him saying he makes it to the team due to his friendship with Dhoni.
