Since there is a reserve day , we will have a result & WI - SL final it will be . These guys need rest after ipl & ct :D
 
I'd not be worried even if India is out of the tournament. The players will get a well deserved break before the next assignment.
 
If the storm doesn't cease, we're looking at another reserve day and Sri Lanka would be playing their 4th day in a row. #INDvSL
 
Good to see Rohit fight it out in these conditions. Any batsman will struggle on such a pitch but he played one line close to the body and scrapped it out. Of course, he now needs to make it count by getting a big one but has done his chances of getting into the test squad no harm at all.

BCCI flexing their financial muscle eh? ;)) Is it? Or did BCCI buy rain clouds ;))
 
If they approach it like a T20, Lankans have firepower like Mendis, Kula and even Mahela and Sanga who can consolidate and score quickly. Lankans are favourites for me in this game.

I never said anything about BCCI...I just posted that to show that SL need to work hard to win this one....DL is a universal rule and accepted everywhere...

I wonder why some blind fans jump to conclusions
 
Sad system this! 178 in 26 overs is insane considering the way we batted
 
I love this pitch , I want such pitches in PAk-WI and believe me there will be blood when pace will clash with pace.:akhtar
 
problem with d/l is, it does not consider the pitch condition. again indians would not have struggled if the condition was good.
 
Don't understand the revised target India going at 4.1 runs per over and played 29 overs. Lets say they do there best and end up target of 275 then SriLinak required run rate should become 5.5


what in earth Srilanka got target of 178 runs in 26 overs this is simply crazy

max target should be not more than 143

Can someone explain what is going on ????

rather we play better against them. you are not giving credit to indians like many of the pakistani fans here. . they say sl deliberately play bad against india to get IPL contract.
 
I am still waiting for the definition of minnows...How can a team who won 53 games against the team who won 76 can be called minnow?

Agree with you...You know with this technique he scored 2 centuries and 8 fifties outside the SC...And before CT was averaging 52 outside the SC...

Hitting 275 in 50 overs is NOT same as hitting 143 in 26 overs (even though the run rate is the same)

That is because, with lesser number of overs, batsmen can take more risks as opposed to guarding his wicket in a longer game. So, there needs to be an adjustment for lesser number of overs to make it equivalent to a 50-over run rate.

As a simple example. Hitting 140 runs in a T-20 ( at 7 RR) is a quite common occurence. Whereas hitting 350 in 50 overs (at 7 RR) is quite rare.

Some common sense
 
B Kumar averaging 9, so far this series, i think India made the mistake of resting him in the previous SL encounter. Not saying he would have done much, but well he is our best bowler

It is pretty simple. When India started their innings, they thought it was a 50 over game and played accordingly. If it was 26 overs game from the start India would not have scored at 4.1 per over. The calculation takes that into account. The fact that India hadn't lost too many wickets also comes into the equation.

It will be unfair for the team batting first if you just convert it according to the pace they were going thinking that it was a 50 over game.
 
some of the pakistani fans should stop whining about d/l target revise. thats how it has been for decades. BCCI has nothing to do with the calculation. dont try to bring consipiracy theory like you guys do every match India win, especially against SL.
 
OMG was that a brain fart? surely not :O ............ only Umar Akmal does those right? :O
