Even if Australia give India a target of 500, they are not safe till Sehwag is out.
You need time to make the runs even on a perfect batting pitch. How many 500 run second innings chases have you seen in test cricket, let alone in 3 or 4 sessions.

anyone else suspect that India's refusal to accept the UDRS is because they've got a better chance of winning without it? I feel the amount of marginal caught and LBW decisions that inevitably are created by their spinners (we see this is every India test) are more likely to go their way without UDRS.
what a moron this Ian Gould is?

great spell from Harby. just 4 more and we'll be chasing a very gettable target.
North is abysmal. hopefully the selectors keep faith with him for the winter tests![]()
India (with England and Australia not far behind) must be the side that have taken more non-wickets than anyone. this is my honest opinion based on years of watching cricket. I'm not anti-India at all.
Bhajji's probably finished North's test career there. Punter will go with Smith in the next test.
On UDRS and umpriring, well with a UDRS in place, Dhoni would have been not out yesterday, katich would have been out 3 times before reaching 30 and Hussey and North once each without even reaching 5 runs!!
So in a way that has hurt us more than the opposition!! It's time we accepted the UDRS in whatever form it is available. And if we keep saying no to UDRS, we have got absolutely no rights to cry about bad umpriring for decisions going against us.
Lols at the "We" mate. Appreciate all the support we (the genuine ones) get here from non Indians as it is very rare![]()
I dunno how you can say that dude, after watching India for about 15 odd years with the crusade and just about every other umpires ruling in the oppositions favour, heck it got so comical that Moin Khan got away with the greatest bumped catch of all time in the famous 99 Chennai test vs Pak which we should have won..... I am all for the umpire review system unless ofcourse the 3rd umpire reviewing is a DHarmasena or any other patriotic Lankan....
to be fair, I would like to see a study, although I'm sure putting one together would be obscenely difficult.
it's only because you're playing Australia...next summer I will be very happy if you don't score a run or take a wicket against us![]()
It's a test match so we can't know, maybe australia will bowled out for under 200.
this is hilarious. the sad thing is that the non-Australian 'WHOAMG OZZY STILL DA BEST TEAM EVA' fans don't seem to know that these kind of collapses - in this case 87/0 to 170/8 - have happened to Australia in numerous important games since 2005.
BTW where have those souls disappeared who were calling this a boring test match, dead/flat pitch? This has the makings of a classic test match.
5 missed chances and 16 byes across 2 innings for Dhoni...:akmal
) "would have done Wasim Akram proud"? No. It was a good delivery but not in the Wasim league at all, no way.
THIS is Wasim-esque.
