raina also gone, wont be surprised of the short ball.

Hilfenhaus to Raina, OUT, 137.1 kph, It wouldn't surprise many that Raina has been bounced out. He hopped to get on top of the chest-high bouncer but could only poke it to slips. Gone! Australia are on the kill here. They are hustling the Indians. Tendulkar is still out there.

Good directed short pitch bowling, the Indian batsman look like sitting ducks.

Swann will be the difference.

AUSTRALIA on their own wickets will be too strong for england, the difference for me will be the england pop gun attack on wickets that don't swing and seam, whilst aussy bowlers are faster and more used to the conditions, dont forget siddle whose fitter and faster than previous:aamir:asif:gul:ajmal:akhtar:yk

14 overs still to be bowled today and India sent Zaheer to bat. Dhoni is afraid of facing the music I think.

Even if India win from there, I'm sure Andy Flower is taking notes for next summer. Get the bouncers in lads...

Apart from Broad (even he is not consistently good) there is no English pacer who can trouble Australia in Australia as you quite rightly said, but Aussies have been struggling with the bat of late. It will be a very close series, but to me as I said earlier Swann will be the difference.

14 overs?
What the heck, sachin will be pissed, more pressure on him.
If zaheer goes dhoni will be under double pressure.

Captain Marvel Mr Dhoni hides from the action, looking to protect his precious average again. Should really have come out as the chase is far from over.

Aussies should go for the kill and try to wrap up the Indian Innings today. They should not let Laxman recover from his injury till tommorow.

Not many captains would have come in to bat, apart from :yk

if ausies win in india their confidence will be sky high going in to the ashes knowing england team are not that strong compared to indias

this series is pretty irrelevant to the Ashes. England won 6 series out of 6 in the summer anyway. both teams are good enough to beat each other regardless of momentum or mind games.

14.5

Johnson to Khan, no run, 141.6 kph, Dropped by Katich But what a tough tough chance. It was full in length, on the middle and Zaheer flicked it hard; Katich almost managed to hold on to the reflex catch. It went inside his palms and popped out. Eknath Solkar, David Boon would have approved the effort

Naa batting kar sakta hain na ball pakkar sakta hain..Is ko tu Pakistan k team main hona chahye :pissed:

thet were struggling against a high quality attack of pakistan:aamir:gul:asif:ajmal and which england bowler can match these guys, swann is good but finger spinners in australia generally struggle, cant agree, for me comfortable aus win

England Lacks Quality Backups, That is where Aussie Has the edge. And England won't be able to play well in Australia as More than half of their players this will be first time touring Australia.. Keep it in Mind.....

lack of experience won't be the problem in the batting order. Strauss, Pietersen, Bell and Collingwood have played 3 series against the Aussies winning 2, Cook has played 2 winning 1. the only batsmen not to tour Australia before are Prior and Trott I believe, and they are our form players. the problem will be taking 20 wickets in quick time.

This whole idea of Aussie bowlers will be super tough in Australia is quite overrated and overused to be honest. Yes they will be lot more effective than they were in England recently, but that doesn't mean they'll run through England batting line up whenever they come out to bowl. I think lot of people are confusing the current bunch of Aussie bowlers with likes of McGrath, Warne and Lee.

Aussies have struggled quite a bit in this test too against India.

LOL>>. How Many Series they WON in Australia????

A Big 0....... :))):))):)))

stumps.
Should be interesting tomorrow, hope our cable sorts out there receiver

LOL @ Sehwag and Raina.

as always for India, its Sachin or bust!

wonder if SRT will choke or triumph...either way there are bound to be a few threads on PP this time tomorrow

The young Indian batsmen just can't be bothered to show they're ready to say farewell to Tendulkar?

but on their HOME CONDITIONS it will be the difference, apart from anderson who got murdered in australia last time no england seamers have played their before, and not even swann

As I said for me over the years Dravid, not Tendulkar, has always been the key. That's why I rate him as the best Indian batsman. Once he's gone I don't expect India to win. They might well do - but nothing over the last 20 years would tell me otherwise.

I think it pretty much goes without saying that batting is the key to win this particular Ashes series, for both teams. We may want to believe that the Aussie bowlers will be much better on their home ground, but that still doesn't mean they'll all of sudden become unplayable bowlers like McGrath, Warne or Lee. Anyone who's been watching cricket for long enough can tell this is definitely the weakest Aussie bowling attack in decades. However, Australia still has an edge over England, but sometimes it unnecessarily exaggerated.

agree totally with you post, dravid simply has not been in the headlines like tendulkar, his nickname THE WALL is justified with his imperious tecnique and mental strength

The impossible has happened at Mohali ....

India took 20 wickets ??!?!!?

lol 7 :P

experience is a big weapon, whilst i've never quoted this being a great aus attack but it has the knowledge of playing on the wickets their gonna play on, whilst england dont

big innings for dhobi 2mura, i expect him to go out attacking from the 1st ball

They had, but unfortunately, All three never come at the same time, And another problem with Pakistan is lack of strategy or game plan which always keeps them behind from any front line teams...

Big day for Sachin tomorrow. Can he lead India to victory, Any news on Laxmans Fitness?

Enthralling test match now; Laxman if he bats the way he did in the 1st innings will not make many, could not even bend over at all. Sachin is the key, and Sachin will choke :yk

Zaheer hasn't played a knock in a long time, it's time for him to do so now :mushtaq

A very good test match this has eventually turned out to be. Anyone but Hauritz as a spinner, I would be extermely confident of the Aussies winning this one.

Its gonna be an exciting last day for sure
India need Laxman to bat, has a great 2nd innings record and feasts on Aussies.

How many test matches have these players won batting in Australia.

Wow. What a roller coster this test match has been. Australia have really come back super strong in the last session and look to be the favorities to win this match if they get Sachin early tomorrow.

But having said that the last session is the best for seam bowlers to pick up wickets at Mohali because of the breeze. The morning session is the best to bat and so tomorrows first session would decide this test match.

We still have Sachin and Dhoni and a half fit VVS. Fingers crossed that we would still pull it off. But that wouldnt take an iota of credit from the Aussies who have played extremely well..

Classic test match battle. Can't have enough!

Great day of test cricket- this is what makes tests so much superior to any other format. The draw is not a possibility now, and either team can win. Australia bowled really well and hold the upper hand, the first session tomorrow will decide the result.

This should be a lesson to those who were writing off this match as boring based on the 1st days play. You guys obviously are not test cricket fans or knowledgeable enough about test cricket to know that you cannot judge the match based on a single days play- that too the first.

That's why there are 5 days, so there is enough time for the conditions to change and the possibility of a roller coaster ride. Regardless of the result tomorrow, this will have been a very good test match.

The :quote: breeze :quote: had nothing to do with the Indian wickets that fell today.

pathetic batting.

So India has lost the match :9

Yes I would expect them to lose tomorrow - but now Tendulkar and Dhoni have to stand up if they are gonna do it. Not sure whether Laxman will do much.

I think Aussies fielding and the Umpires will have the Biggest say on tomorrows result.

Aussies have to take any half chances they can get!

The umpiring this match has been horrendous, probably robbed us of 5/6 wickets and the aussies 1/2 has really been stupid stuff from Billy aswel who is supposed to be one of the best

I think India will win this test. Only needs one player to dig in to get to the total and tendulkar, dhoni and laxman are all still in.

Laxman is severly injured, so it is pretty much up to Sachin and Dhoni.

If Harby, ZAK and Ojha make 20 between them, im sure the tendu, dhoni and laxman can make 140 between them, if we can get a solid innings from tendu and someone to support him we should be ok

...and Madhuri and Anil Kapoor's parents say yes to their shaadi, and they all live happily ever after :nehra

^ Back Injury , hope he recovers ..cos without him this looks very difficult . Aus will be favs comfortably , but India need one decent partnership of 70-80
