Maybe. If it is/was a cricketing judgement (like) "oh he's not test class" or "doesn't turn enough") then I will be ropeable because whilst that may wash at first, eventually his stats being so much better, continually, demand his selection especially if these "better" players keep failing. Dan Vettori never turned it much but takes wickets at 35, is effective at home & in SC and contributes with the bat. Until we produce another Warne/McGill, that would do us nicely and O'Keefe fits that bill perfectly. So I'm hopping mad if its just some mug selector who thinks he's no good at spinning, his stats say otherwise.


On the other hand, if it is personal then maybe I can see why. But O'Keefe obviously doesn't think these problems are insurmountable because he's thrown his hat in the ring by giving up NSW captaincy to chase Oz selection. I wonder who hates him in this case... Arthur? Rod Marsh or Inverarity? Maybe it's a state thing & it's Siddle, Patto & the Vics or Watto, Johnson & the Banana Benders?
