Even if Pakistan doesn’t meet the expectations of it’s fans, one should never be a coward and hope for a washout. Let’s back Pakistan and enjoy the game. Cowardice is never a good thing. Will be some ifs and buts involved in that case. Do or die in terms of being decider of their fate or not as in the case you have mentioned other things will also have to go our way. Still Pak is playing some poor cricket even to beat other teams we will have to play good cricket.

I thought Pakistan found some real positives in the Australia game:

1. Shaheen's 2nd and 3rd spells - hostile and pitched up. He may just be the 3rd bowler.
2. Amir, of course.
3. Long tail. This emphasis on late order contributions is a blessing.
4. Hopefully, realizing the importance of a specialist spinner.
5. Hopefully getting rid of Malik for good.
6. Never say die attitude. Other teams in the tournament have given up the ghost early.

I also think they will come good as a unit next game. Too many positives from this game not to carry forward into the next one.

So true. I'm dissapointed with the loss, I'm happy they fought hard. You've gotta give credit to Amir and Wahab for keeping us in the game till the very end. If one of Fakhar, Malik, or Asif clicked, and Babar didn't throw his wicket away, we might have even won. Benching Asif and Malik may be the trick. Definitely plenty of lessons for upcoming games.

Thing is he and Fakhar get off to great starts, then just throw their wickets away at random. This then puts pressure on the middle order, who can't fix things, and then the tail-end has to compensate for these sorry performances.
