Exit polls have proved to be very true.

I was kinda Surprised at AIADMK's performance though. ATM, leading in 30 seats out of 39 in my state (expected some stiff competition from DMK on the issue of Power cuts). If this trend continues Jaya's party could very well become 3rd largest of India.
 
Bjp plus 291 out of 486 . My hope in bharat is intact. Inshallah this will be the strongest government after 1984.

I spoke to my Tamil friends. They said anti incumbency votes got divided between Dmk and Vijaykanth party. How true is this?

Congress is finished. Pure Hindu consolidation with the BJP. Honestly Hindus that voted for the Congress in the past have got to ask what they have gotten out of it 60 years.

The only time India did well was during the BJP.

Yes, a possibility. BJP too leads in 2 constituencies of TN now (Kanyakumari and Coimbatore ?)

TN Leads as of 9.57 AM - AIADMK 34, Congress 1, DMK 1, BJP 2

AIADMK is absolutely crushing it in TN.

It is good that she won't. Remember, how bigger nuisance she was for Vajpayee's govt.
 
only thing in TN which is against amma is electricity which she cant do much because of the central grid..

she is doing better in this term and no visible corruptions now .. but she shld try to improve TNs infrastructure

BJP is weak in Rajya Sabbha and it will stay that way till 2015 end.

BJP will need allies for smooth passage of bills in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

Clean Image in public space does help you win votes even if you are contesting for a party that is in its nascent stage of establishing itself well on a state that is traditionally run by Congress/Communists.

Update from Kanniyakumari - (Tamil) Media Hyped controversial Koodankulam Anti-Nuclear Activist leader turned AAP Candidate S.P.Udhayakumar trailing the leader Radhakrishnan (BJP) by 46500 votes, on the way to losing his deposit ( so far have got just 1300 votes).
 
Twitter Update from Trivandrum @12.06 PM - Tharoor leads Rajagopal now by 8 votes

Strike the above update, now Rajagopal leads Tharoor by 48 votes

This is gonna get more tighter by the noon

(Election commission website says Rajagopal leading Tharoor by 16000 votes margin while twitteratis say Tharoor now lead Rajagopal by 848 votes. Which one to believe? )

Tharoor leading by 7000 now so he is mostly safe.I suspect even the saffron fans want him to win this seat.BJP has yet to breach Kerala since 1947.

More than Hindu consolidation of any sort, the clean sweep of Rajasthan shows that Muslims from Ajmer etc. Have voted for modi. In Assam, the Assamese(not Bengali) Muslims have voted for bjp. Else they wouldn't have won so many seats.
 
Has the BJP been able to open its account in Kerala ? Looks like it remains the last unconquered territory for the BJP.

At present Congress count is 53.
What i loved about this election - BSP tally in UP - 0.
This election destroyed caste based politics.
 
NDA could get a 2/3 majority here. Congress may not even get enough to be the official opposition!
