He acts like he's an Afridi, but he's no Afridi. I have huge issues with Lala, but there's no question he's been a match winner for us. But Lala also has charisma is excess, so even when he's been hugely arrogant, it comes across a kind of snarky humor. That's why Afridi is such a megastar. But Shehzad just comes across as a nitwit, even if he's a legend in his own mind.

I could forgive all that if he just appeared willing to work at his flaws, or even just acknowledge them. It's why I have utmost respect for Azhar Ali, who is clearly less "talented" but has worked to improve his game.

Its not about cake being bad for their bellies. Who on Earth cuts a cake in the middle of a match and that too for a century and a 50 by a tail-end batsman. Do it after a match, no one will bat an eye. But this was thoroughly unprofessional.

You think playing a test match is easy?

Winners celebrate their accomplishments. This is a ritual which creates atmosphere of success in the dressing room. BD can learn from Pakistan on how to excel in test cricket.
 
It's a cake. They didn't eat the calorie equivalent of '80's old punjabi actress. People need to chill.

That's a tiny ass cake for 20ish people. Probably had like 12 calories each.

Btw real minnow mentality, if they won the match or its a birthday, achieved sime milestone then i can understand but this is ridiculous.

Pakistan can celebrate after a match is over. Even if the match heads for a draw i don't care whether the players celebrate but immature to get a cake in the middle of a match. And speaking of rituals, i have noticed how our team was ridiculed after giving a "so-called" victory lap after our win against Afghanistan in WC where the players wanted to thank the fans.

This all started back in the Middle Ages in France.

Pakistan were touring France and had just won the series but unfortunately there was a famine. The Pakistan team manager, Javed Afridi (who never ages) asked Marie Antoinette "Madame there is no biryani for our players to celebrate milestones!"

She replied "Let them eat cake" and thus a tradition was born.

I think Beer or Champagne if celebrating would be better than Cake, as usually a slice of cake has more calories than a bottle of Lager or Champagne (lesser). The transfat content is also many times more in cake or any such delicacies which is usually a no-no for professional athletes. Alcohol usualy effects a person's metabolism and health because the body burns the ethanol first.

Alcohol is bad too but in comparisons to the effects of cake and alcohol (champagne or beer), in terms of having actual fun, Alcohol takes the cake.

It would even be the preffered mode of celebration barring religious restrictions.

How about the Irish focus on beating other associate teams? Scotland just gave them some thrashing.
Why haven't they set up a tour with ZIM yet?

The fact is that these cakes were made by the hotel by restaurant staff
They seem to have made the cakes on their return after days play it's kind of thing in Galle; cake and tea

You can see the pastry chef or whoever made the cake for zulfiqar an Shafiq achievement of 50 and 100 on that day but you can see sarfraz cutting with them because the team knows he made crucial 95 as the cake was given by the hotel managemt go with the flow rather than decline the cake which the hotel staff baked as a good gesture

I hope that clears the cake issue kind of weird but not many hotels do that. The team is staying at the the lighthouse hotel, Galle I guess

Hmm, now that I think about it I had a bet in a sports bar in Dubai with a Sri Lankan friend then during the T20 world cup. The wager was a bottle of something of the other.

The point being he presented me with a cake on Pakistan's triumph (the kitchen staff being mostly Srilankan too), and it was all done with good heartedness and sincerity.

Maybe the cake thing is something Srilankan but it was genuine.

Was a reserve strength Ireland side vs a practically full strength Scottish side. Doesnt excuse the losses but puts it into context.

We're also almost certain to tour Zim in October I believe, think us,Zim and Afghanistan will be having a tri series

Azhar Ali has favourited tweets comparing his recent stats to Virat Kohli. Now please also condemn this action. Surely it is also unprofessional for him to do it? Or does that only apply when Ahmed Shehzad does it?

Please don't run away from this post. I want all of you who have condemned Shehzad for doing this, to also do the same for Azhar Ali. Else it shows your bias against Shehzad.

Azhar ali is delusional to compare himself with virat kohli. At least shehzad has performed everywhere against big teams. I wouldnt big myself up after performing against zimbabwe lol.

^Now this would be reply of a hater just as they hated on poor shehzad.

But the point is that shehzad and azhar had to respond to his fans in one way or another and favoriting is one way. But haters are gonna hate. I wont be surprised if they stay quiet or defend azhar ali because there will be haters.

Tbh with you I like Azhar Ali. I'm just pointing out the double standards, and that is what I don't like.

It's an unfair comparison, more like apples and oranges. Your buddy Ahmed is a known narcissist and trouble-maker, he was humiliated here for favoriting a tweet that bashed and undermined HIS CAPTAIN.

Then he made comparisons with our past legends like Saeed Anwar, retweeting stats where he tried to give impression that he is better than Saeed Anwar and many other batsmen just because he has more no. of centuries in x matches.

Then more retweets as well showing his poor class.

Azhar's context is totally different, he's not Shehzad, and has never undermined anyone. Favoriting one harmless tweet doesn't mean anything.

And no matter how much you claim you like Azhar, it's your guy Shehzad that you will always defend.

I didn't mean physical harm, but from above comments it does seem like they were a torture for many. :P

They harmed Shehzad's own image. I'm sure you have the ability to realize how both cases are different. Gave the examples above.
