When 17-18 years years old UA toured Australia with Pakistan A in 2008-2009 it was considered the toughest tour. He stunned both the Pcb aswell as the Aussies on that tour and achieved what no Pak A player achieved in away tours of Eng, SA, Aus, Nz, WI in last 60 years.


When you stop reading, when your work ethic regresses, when your focus is diverted than it affects your development, you become static mentally, you do not mature, your performces suffer. So you need to strike a balance.


UA & Amir were the most exciting talents posts 2000. Wrt batting UA was most exciting talent since 1990 when Inzamam made debut for Pak. While Amir exists somehow where is UA ?

Anyhow One can expect for better.

can we not make an exception for Umar Akmal and give him one last series. Ask him what number he wants to bat on, and let em eat all them curries...fitness is clearly not his thing (its was also never a thing for Inzi either). I am not saying that Umar Akmal has Inzi's greatness, but hey just like how you said 'we need to strike a balance', then may be the team management need to strike a balance in case of Umar Akmal..

Win or lose so long as it was a good match that's all I wanted, and I'm not personally one to gloat in face of opposition as it's only a cricket match and we'll done to both teams for reaching the final . I personally thought both teams were gracious.

However some of the arrogant Indian celebs such as the film stars need to be brought down to earth, they quickly changed their interests from cricket to hockey within minutes, did you see some of their tweets, i found that quite funny.

Players generally have been friends with each other off the field.. They go out at night together after matches for dinner and parties.. Especially the Punjabi speaking players from each side have been good friends.. It's just a few players who took it as a war and now these players when they come on TV as experts spew venom and some section of public falls for it..

The guy has pledged all his organs , is involved in many charities and most of this IPL's earnings (in past 2 IPLs I think) were given to paying for the schooling of children of dead soldiers. So the GUY WALKS HIS TALK .. These qualities (if not for the IND Vs PAK vitriol) would've earned him a "good human being" tag, that we give away so liberally here on PP.

the game is more global than ever, these guys play with one another non-stop throughout the year. The players nowadays understand how to extend marketing appeal

Kohli, Dhoni are getting a lot of praises from Pak fans.. they may get an ad offer from some Pakistani brand, or maybe after retirement Dhoni gets a deal with one of the Pakistani sports shows as an expert analyst

Sad that these players get along so well and put the India-Pak tensions aside and just get along, yet they are the first ones to be dragged into the heat by jingoistic countrymen on either side, like with Shami.

I'm not a Gambhir apologist or anything, I feel rightly that his time is past and we have moved on from Him as an ODI or Test prospect. But compared to the namesake twitter / TV support for charity many of India's big cricketers have done GG has worked for far more.

There would be very strong nationalistic feelings in the guy to keep doing things like that , which also explains his strong stance on Kashmir.

Haris doesn't look very good on the Eye actually it's his performances which catch the eye otherwise there are 10 domestic batsmen who look better on the eye.

Yep Usama seems like an intelligent guy.

Personally for me Haris look the best on the eye especially against fast bowling. I posted somewhere in early 2010s on my personal social networking account that Haris Sohail k 2 chokay are like poetry in motion. Absolute class!
