Everybody is not Virat Kohli.

Everbody is not Multi Tasker.

These two boys off field life gets discussed because it does affect their Cricketing Life.

When 17-18 years years old UA toured Australia with Pakistan A in 2008-2009 it was considered the toughest tour. He stunned both the Pcb aswell as the Aussies on that tour and achieved what no Pak A player achieved in away tours of Eng, SA, Aus, Nz, WI in last 60 years.

When you stop reading, when your work ethic regresses, when your focus is diverted than it affects your development, you become static mentally, you do not mature, your performces suffer. So you need to strike a balance.

UA & Amir were the most exciting talents posts 2000. Wrt batting UA was most exciting talent since 1990 when Inzamam made debut for Pak. While Amir exists somehow where is UA ?

Anyhow One can expect for better.

can we not make an exception for Umar Akmal and give him one last series. Ask him what number he wants to bat on, and let em eat all them curries...fitness is clearly not his thing (its was also never a thing for Inzi either). I am not saying that Umar Akmal has Inzi's greatness, but hey just like how you said 'we need to strike a balance', then may be the team management need to strike a balance in case of Umar Akmal..

One things for sure, when UA was on song, he was a treat to watch even on fast bouncy tracks...

Sehwag's fingers when typing twitter posts have more movement than his feet did when he was batting..

but

You have to admit he handled Latif's lowly comments with class and didn't go down to the same level.

With guys like him you can either ignore the comments or reply with equal wit.

Darren Sammy, Vaughan and Waqar Younis reaction to Morgan's wicket :mv

Sehwag was witty initially on Twitter, got loads of followers in a short span. But he is cringe worthy these days . It seems he has run out of ideas, trying too hard to be funny and playing to his core audience with baap beta tweets.

Haven't seen Latif's video but heard that it was pure filth even in Sehwag's standard. War of the idiots! We should learn to ignore these fools as opposed to getting riled up.

Look at some comments underneath

Win or lose so long as it was a good match that's all I wanted, and I'm not personally one to gloat in face of opposition as it's only a cricket match and we'll done to both teams for reaching the final . I personally thought both teams were gracious.

However some of the arrogant Indian celebs such as the film stars need to be brought down to earth, they quickly changed their interests from cricket to hockey within minutes, did you see some of their tweets, i found that quite funny.

This guy doesn't even have the decency to congratulate a team that has beaten you fair and square. Quite a small person by every sense of the word. Tweeting about hockey and not a word about cricket.

His humble guy image always seemed a bit overstated. Maybe some people will now claim hockey is bigger in India than Cricket :yk

The nature of the defeat must have reminded of the 90s and thus he's feeling a little upset right now.

Current India team really are quite likeable. Carry themselves well and have been very gracious in defeat, worthy of respect and admiration. Polar opposites to sad little men like Gambhir and co.

Players generally have been friends with each other off the field.. They go out at night together after matches for dinner and parties.. Especially the Punjabi speaking players from each side have been good friends.. It's just a few players who took it as a war and now these players when they come on TV as experts spew venom and some section of public falls for it..

Gambhir was never a "batting star" of the likes of Sehwag, Kohli or Dhoni. He was a grafter and a fighter . So his mongrel was what made him so clutch in his playing days. And he contributed a lot in arguably many of our greatest victories.

Agreed he goes overboard with his nationalism , but the dude fought a lot for our team and rarely gets the credit he deserved, which I feel is a bit sad.

The guy has pledged all his organs , is involved in many charities and most of this IPL's earnings (in past 2 IPLs I think) were given to paying for the schooling of children of dead soldiers. So the GUY WALKS HIS TALK .. These qualities (if not for the IND Vs PAK vitriol) would've earned him a "good human being" tag, that we give away so liberally here on PP.

Sehwag is a proper tool though, great batsman when playing because he never thought too much, huge tool ALSO because he doesn't think too much !

Gotta agree, Gambhir is sensible normally.

As an Indian fan,I'd prefer players who gave it all and were sad after losing rather than ones who laugh with opposition right after a crushing defeat and dole out philosophical talks in PC

the game is more global than ever, these guys play with one another non-stop throughout the year. The players nowadays understand how to extend marketing appeal

Kohli, Dhoni are getting a lot of praises from Pak fans.. they may get an ad offer from some Pakistani brand, or maybe after retirement Dhoni gets a deal with one of the Pakistani sports shows as an expert analyst

Love the respect shown by the Indian players and the Pakistani players.

That's how it should be.

If the Post on gambhir is true than thats very good of him. As a pak Fan all i know is his conduct in those game. So the opinion is also based on them.

Kohli being the captain and giggling like a teenager after the defeat should make Indian fans very upset. This is the same guy who used to cry when India lost before, that showed how much it hurt .

And you have Pak fans and Indian fans fighting each other like wild animals...

Sad that these players get along so well and put the India-Pak tensions aside and just get along, yet they are the first ones to be dragged into the heat by jingoistic countrymen on either side, like with Shami.

Gambhir is the best cricketing brain in India currently. If you listen to his interviews, he speaks so much sense its astonishing. In other universe , he could have been Indian captain.

I'm not a Gambhir apologist or anything, I feel rightly that his time is past and we have moved on from Him as an ODI or Test prospect. But compared to the namesake twitter / TV support for charity many of India's big cricketers have done GG has worked for far more.

There would be very strong nationalistic feelings in the guy to keep doing things like that , which also explains his strong stance on Kashmir.

He was deputy (VC) for most of Dhoni's captaincy days. His support for sehwag in the Dhoni- Sehwag spat is what cost him his vice captiancy, and as his form declined he was discarded. His test techniques developed many holes, so his ousting there was justified.

This guy must be feeling SOOOO dumb at the moment. If only he had been a part of the squad he would have pocketed so much more than what the bookies offered.

You cannot deny that he met the bookies and didn't inform PCB. That part is confirmed.

Do people want Sharjeel back . ? Isn't it setting an even worse precedent compared to the Amir situation.. ?

True. Tactically he is really good and KKR's record speaks volumes about it.

But GG is too confrontational in nature anyway . He won't fit in as Bro-Kohli's yes man, he also has a spat with Kohli in IPL too ! But I feel you could use a pretty stern guy like him, atleast as the Performance manager , like Shastri did !

Yes exactly. Good insights and funny too :p

Usama is Intelligent & mature young man whose thought process is appreciable. His twitter handle is not managed. I must appreciate his School & College, teachers & parents. He talks sense.

Nothing to do with eye, he is a dear friend of Haris Sohail.

Haris doesn't look very good on the Eye actually it's his performances which catch the eye otherwise there are 10 domestic batsmen who look better on the eye.

Usama will soon represent Pakistan InshaAllah provided he stays fit.

Yep Usama seems like an intelligent guy.

Personally for me Haris look the best on the eye especially against fast bowling. I posted somewhere in early 2010s on my personal social networking account that Haris Sohail k 2 chokay are like poetry in motion. Absolute class!
