Who will win IPL 2025?

Pant looks like a complete clown trying those 360 degree shots. Look at the way Pooran and Marsh does power hitting.. just pure power.

Another uncapped talent is destroying an international Indian spinner. Aniket has just 2 match experience.

That was some batting.

At this point the T20 selectors must be having headache. All of a sudden way too much T20 batting talent emerging from our country

Credit to the local T20 leagues. We have SMAT. In addition to that we have so many premerie leagues at state level, city level in some case. Then they do scouting outside these leagues focusing on smaller leagues. BCCI never did any kind of scouting. Now IPL franchisees are doing the heavy lifting for BCCI.

As bumrah's scouting by wright , our selectors will always play safe .they won't pick any player with talent or x factor.they will pick any new player only if there is a necessity and on top of it we will have dravid kind of coaches who prefers bharath over jurel .with out ipl, we must have stuck with 90s mindset kind of selectors

This is one of the brightest points of IPL... IPL haters should note this... Even Bumrah would not have gotten fast-tracked into international cricket, and we would never has seen Pant as a test cricketer (Saha would be still playing...) BCCI works exactly like Government when its given full power...

it's CSK vs RCB time

The last time RCB beat CSK in Chennai was in 2008.

RCB has a very poor record in Chepauk. lost 8 games and won only 1 against CSK.

2 coming???

This is the weakest spin attack I have ever seen in IPL history. It is a classic example of how poor RCB’s auction strategy is.
I can’t believe they didn’t pick a single quality, regular spinner in the squad  . Krunal has to do the heavy lifting and of course, he is not a spinner, he just darts the ball in and occasionally bowls bouncers:ROFLMAO:.
The rest of the spinners are part timers. I don’t know how they will compete against CSK on a spin friendly track.

It would be a miracle if RCB manages to win.

This nonsense needs to stop that Dhoni has the fastest glovework. That's just rubbish. Other keepers are as quick. The difference is commentators have manufactured this myth by constantly mentioning about his glovework and then broadcasters showing reaction times for Dhoni. Why don't the broadcasters show reaction times for other keepers? It'll be as quick as Dhoni.

Anil Kumble can still play for RCB as spinner and create an impact!

Because they don’t want to waste everyone else’s time knowing collecting the ball traditionally by taking the hand back and them moving it forward to perform the stumping takes more time due to the distance traveled by hands even if it’s at the same speed.

pitch seems good for batting, with no demons compared to the first match against MI.
King has dented RCB's chances of reaching 220.

Seems a good score on Chennai... But RCB bowling & CSK (a nightmarish team for RCB) anything is less! If it was a good bowling attack & if RCB were bowling to some other team I would give better chance...

I think key here is Tim David , 12 balls to go , can he get 30 runs more here , a few sixes required , 200 is par score these days.

Time and again he does that! Even Rahane plays better (at least gets out before playing 10 balls if he is not in touch! But Kohli does this customary stay at pitch facing more than 30 balls...)

Chennai has a weak batting lineup when you compare it with other teams. Rachin and Ruturaj aar not exactly the six hitting types, Rahul Thripathi is hit or a miss..mostly a miss, Deepak Hooda probably playing the IPL for the longest time and still mediocre by Indian standard, Shivam Dube won't win you many matches while Sam Curran is a joke in this format.

Completely uncharacteristic batting display from CSK. I think it's the first time the entire crowd went silent throughout the innings, except for the last few deliveries when MSD took the bowlers to the cleaners. :dhoni

RCB Breach Chepauk Fortress, Break 17-Year Jinx With Win Over CSK

MS Dhoni is at the crease but eight-down CSK are on the verge of defeat in the chase of 197 vs RCB at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Earlier, Rajat Patidar top-scored with 51 runs off 32 balls as RCB posted 196 for 7 in 20 overs after getting an invitation to bat first. Phil Salt (32 off 16) and Devdutt Padikkal (27 off 14) also played crucial knocks. Tim David's cameo (22 not out off 8, which included a hat-trick of sixes) towards the end also helped RCB's cause. For CSK, Noor Ahmad was pick of the bowlers with figures of 3 for 36. Matheesha Pathirana also scalped two wickets.

They rely heavily on Rachin now. They also lack power hitters.

Tripathi, Gaekwad, Curran and Hooda are not going to save you if the bowling is even half good. Dube is a spin basher.

CSK batting is weak. Bowling is average. Khaleel, Noor, Jaddu, Ash are not going to scare any team.

Entire CSK bowling unit seems to be built around home pitch conditions. Let’s see how they perform outside Chennai.
I feel Santner and Theekshana are better spinners than Noor and Ashwin. Santner can contribute with the bat as well.
Apart from Pathirana, the pace attack doesn’t look threatening.
We are definitely missing Deepak Chahar powerplay bowling.

Dhoni remained not out. Brilliant. Who would have thought this was not part of the script?

He bashed a couple of sixes and a boundary to take his strike rate beyond 150. Chennai crowd goes crazy. Commentators start licking his boots. Moral victory for CSK fans. :salute

@cricketjoshila @Bhaijaan @jnaveen1980 @hoshiarpurexpress @Hellion @Devadwal tagging Indian posters to wonder about continued unbelievable growth of IPL. How is it even possible?
I know the reason. It is the love of cricket watching local stars. People who don't live in India just do not realise this.
Even my local cricket T20 matches in Hoshiarpur, night tournaments get great great crowds. Sixes, Yorkers, Bowled galore.
We also have added impact player rule this year lol.

The appetite for cricket is huge. Its the timing of the games also. Prime time viewing, lot of eyeballs. Weekend double headers you go out in bar or restaurant and watch party with friends. In Cities like Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore etc. Ticketing system is very good, stadium is very accessible. Very good crowd.. Lot of young kids, women also attracted to the game. It will grow more and nothing Australia, England and Pakistan etc. can do about it. Pakistanis and Dodgy Candian Bangladeshi can only feel jealous and helpless.

Sai sudarshan is all class. He looks rock solid.he should be tried at 3 in odis and tests . he can play both pace and spin equally good.

109 . 1

12 overs.

Looks good but from here they need to really get going. 48 balls you need to target 100 plus here , couple of really big overs required.
