You only wish that his bowling was great. I dont think we are watching the same game. I am not expecting him to take any wickets on every bowl. But when you are the strike bowler and your team is defending a small total he shouldnt be bowling wides and spraying bowl all over the place...

Mate Shoaib bowled very well...you can't expect him to get wickets every game, that doesnt happen in cricket. Main problem is the Indian trundlers...they neither look like getting wickets and nor do they.

rain delay :3dtard3: chennai will be winners by D/L if play is stopped here

The ground looks like a landfill site, the crowd in full party mode :)))

he gave up one boundary in two overs and bowled faster than any one else in this game.

kindly answer this question - what is PATHETIC about that ?

Shoaib Akhtar - saved by the storm/rain! Does not have to bowl two more overs!

Rain delay or wind delay? The wind is blowing strong i think thats the cause of delay.

Didn't this crowd burn down the stadium when India lost a game a few years ago?

sharma has been far better than gul in IPL...though on potential it should be sharma along side gul ..........Akthar is a poor T20 bowler , inspite of his spell against delhi !

are you sure about that?

unless im mistaken dont the stats show Gul has been the better bowler?

He went for 7 runs per over and did not bowl one delivery over 150. That is beyond pathetic... :9: and i'm not exaggerating, only someone truly pathetic would make things up to make a cricketer look bad.

Sohaib had this constipated look throughout his spell which was are very much used to these days. He was bowling at 135 ks and all. This guy was not fit enough for tests.. not fit enough for ODIs.. now conclusively proved not fit enough for T20 as well. He has one of the worst body for a fast bowler to have.

20/20 cricket is not made for butt bechara

who ever signed him should be shot!

while we wait for the match to retsart, just thoguht i'd bring this up;)

hope there is no risk of danger for the spectators and the workers in the middle. storm is quite strong.

They've just announced that Chennai have been declared winners on the D/L method.

7.50: Ok it's official. Play has been called off and Chennai Super Kings have won by 3 runs in D/L method. It was inevitable really once the dust storm sent everybody scurrying for cover. A drizzle followed and being a Twenty20 game, there just wasn't enough time for the weather to clear and make the ground ready for play.

Makhaya Ntini is the Man of the Match

I think Akhtar is injured. He certainly didnt look good in his runup and at his speed.

Even 20/20 is too much for him :)))

His bowling http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjZ_sr0QQO8

I agree he didnt look good at all but it is important for him to be out there and playing. He needs continous excercise, cricket and the rhythem will graduately come back. He needs to work his way up.

I only saw one ball, someone posted the video in the Clips section or in this thread by loll and it looked like Akhtar twisted his ankle. I didn't see the clip after the first ball so I don't know what happened. But do you really need match practice for domestic/club T20 cricket. Where does one get match practice from for this form of cricket
