Uthappa strides forward and lofts the ball high towards long-on, he's hit it pretty well and the ball looks like it may clear the boundary, Afridi's at long on and he moves towards his right, keeps his eyes on the ball and holds the catch about two feet inside the boundary, he makes sure that the momentum doesn't carry him over, there's a broad smile on his face for he's having a fantastic match

Ojha is the best bowler on display by miles.
 
So far in 3 overs afridi has taken two wickets at an econ rate of exactly 3.0, but bravo just got a lucky four off him (inside edge).
 
look where afridi's ball landed already 14 off the over lol flukridi sent into orbit.
 
15.3 Shahid Afridi to Bravo, FOUR, what a ball that is! The googly spits off the pitch back into Bravo who doesn't read it, he gets an inside edge that misses his stumps and runs to the boundary

Afridi 4 overs for 2-27
 
Venugopal.. he is more like assistant to part timer.. he picked up jayasuriya inside powerplay
 
Nuwan Zoysa is probably the worst bowler I have seen in the IPL.

He has been hammered in almost every game.
 
Zoysa is still recovering from the after-effects of Jayasuriya's antibiotic treatment.

Dude.. you have to get real . Look at the chances Ojha had. Uthappa's wicket was a mistake of his mad dash. But Ojha beat him in flight.
 
Well now that they'v seen what afridi is capable of when utilized properly, i hope they have him open again today.

Regarding my above statement, i'm a firm believer that afridi is an ideal bowler for the middle overs. In a 50 over game that is between overs 15-40, and in 20-20 it would be between 6-16.

Anyone who says its the first bowler is not only better, but better by MILES... just cannot be taken seriously. Thats why Jackal = troll. :D

Gilly missed 2 stumpings.. If he had taken that.. one of the wicket would not have been Afridi's.. Afridi is a junk part timer. He has to do a lot more than picking up wickets of unknown faces and players making mistakes while accelerating to convince me otherwise. I don't force you to change your opinion about Afridi. It is just my opinion.
 
Can someone please explain to me why Zoysa was selected ahead of Vaas today?

I gave you a list of the players Afridi has got out in this tournament and it shut you up. Now go and make yourself useful and find that list of players which include Shane Watson, Graeme Smith, Jayasuriya too.

and to be honest the fielding hasn't been great

Saj, why do you think everyone has to agree that Afridi is great? I don't rate him as a spinner. He is a part timer at best. Let us not argue over this. I have also given example of Ganguly's bowling, Rao's bowling lot of part timers bowling. In shorter versions people go for runs they can get out to any one any time. Genuinely good spells were very few. Those were from medium pacers. One spinner who had a good spell was Mishra.

Add Tendulkar to that list, I tihnk he got Kaif too amongst others. Yes they are all unknowns arent they.

In future Jackal, think before typing or at least do some research before typing in rubbish.

RP sucked when it mattered against Kolkata and one more match each match going over 50 in 4 overs.

I was referring to thornley.. Tendulkar's wicket more a gift than anything else.

I am not saying that Afridi is great and I dont expect everyone to say Afridi is great.

I am responding to your point that Afridi 's wickets have been of unknowns. The list of unknowns I will repeat for you - Tendulkar, Watson, Misbah ul Haq, Graeme Smith, Kaif amongst others in this tournament. So I request once again, a bit of thought before posting in future.

Pollock's absence will be a big boost for chargers. Will they have motivation to win this one..

You are saying that Afridi's wickets have been unknown faces in this tournament. I have given you a list of the "unknown faces" he has got out in this tournament.

Now is that clear?

Gilly dropped - could be a big mistake.
 
Same thing happened in Deccans last match, Gilly was dropped in first over and he went straight after
