misbah needs to come earlier or just play shots no tuk tuk. he isnt a number 5 player.

we might just get by today by this pathetic batting but we ALL know what HAPPENS with this APPROACH...Mohali was a prime example...against better teams, we'd lose 100% of the time...

AF you are being harsh and opportunistic here. Misbah has his flaws but he is still at the crease and not out after a couple of deliveries with a big slog like Afridi.Plus we don't know whether the conditions are difficult to bat on or whether Ireland are bowling well.

Do u think Misbah cares? All he will be happy with is carrying his bat at a 60-70 strike rate after mostly batting at a strike rate of 25-30 for most of the innings.

What's more our idiot board will reward him by giving him the captaincy.

if we are expecting him to win us the match every time in those situations than it's quite unfair on him...we have all witnessed his ability over 2 years now...unfortunately he plays in a crap batting line up, so we don't get to see Umar play with a free mind

Yes, the conditions are so difficult to bat that an Irish batsman scored a hundred with 100 plus strike rate. And the pitch which was not supportive to Pakistani bowlers is now supporting World Class Irish bowlers.

Very poor post. Maybe the ODI team cannot afford both Misbah and Younus, but they are top quality batsmen.

Yep as opposed to rewarding a mindless slogger who never saw a ball he didn't like for SIX.
 
To be honest, Younis doing a decent job now, hes getting the strike rolling, his strike rates up to 63
 
Good strike rotation. I always think Misbah bats better with someone like Younus. Younis is great at rotating the strike.
 
younis will mostly do his job quitely and doesnt need sixes to bloster hiz strike rate to 70, its this misbah who can either tuk tuk or bang bang

Last 5 ovs 38/0 RR 7.60 FOR ALL THE MISBAH HATERS but i think they are all afridi fans get upset by him taking his captaincy

Well, in the last 2 overs, he has picked it up from 30 to 65 so credit there, but problem is, he plays too many dots

Younis keeps taking singles and not relies on boundaries so he doesn't let the pressure build as much as Misbah who has to take a risk to score runs

I agree he is getting screwed in the batting line up and asked to perform under pressure - but he has to make his mark, and if he's got the skill then he will shine (hopefully)

Well - knack of hitting only sixes and fours is quiet infectious ;) even Misbi and YK are doing the same.. only going for boundaries and over boundaries :D

Misbah average in the last year = 58.16 in 22 matches.
Afridi average in the last year = 26.35 in 32 matches (so no excuse that Afridi plays a different role,he's a bowling all-rounder etc etc.)

Your posts in this thread smacks of opportunism.Kick a man whilst he's struggling.This match is still not even over yet but fans are calling for his head and making jibes about his captaincy.

I was criticizing him when he was in his tuk tuk mode. Only you can be fine with that.

Since he has changed gears I have been defending him.

Younis is Bradman compared to Afridi and that's not a good thing.

His hate for Misbah is not because of the way he plays, its simply because hes always threatened and now finally replaced Afridi

I agree, and he's already played a couple of gems under pressure...43* against Australia and 45* against WI in Champions Trophy with score being 78/5...

Get over the username kid. There is nothing about Afridi the way he was batting. Now that he has picked up his strike rate I am not bashing him. Am I?

Stop this Afridi obsession, seems like you are his fan more than me. :))
