Wow.. Just tuned in, what do i see?? Pakistan's nemesis Ireland at it again! Pakistan are Ireland's bunny? :O

And now Shafiq goes. I hope every body realizes now how much Umar Akmal is missed. Bet he's laughing at home :)

Actually no major team has played them as much as we have. I'm sure they would be able to beat other teams at home too.

Umar Akmal, Yk and Afridi needs to be back in the side. Asad, Nasir playing horribly.

Can't believe they are throwing away their wickets against a 39 year old Trundler Johnston

Ireland deserves to be on the Champions Trophy, the way they are playing

Disagree. Irish have a mediocre bowling lineup. Nothing but some medium pacers, atleast India have some decent spinners.

Ireland look like a good batting and fielding unit in comparison to Pakistan
 
I sense a close Pakistani victory here... Shoib Malik to take them over the line

They do! Murtagh looks a great prospect.. bowled some jaffas, but then, they'll be tested more against the better batting units

HONESTELY if bangladesh can play test than why not ireland ..
they seems to be decent side to me . they all got county experiance aswell
 
Just terrible batting. Farhat is rubbish and we all know it. Jamshed is badly out of form. Hafeez is inconsistent. Misbah is carrying the batting line up. Malik has been poor for years. Kamran is out of form. This isn't the ideal set up to the Champions Trophy.

As Afridi said i am better then most of those in the pak playing 11. From this performance he is being proved right! If he was playing, at least he would have tried to hit a few boundries.

Nope. Misbah is still there. Once the ball gets older it will be easy to score. Misbah did this against RSA recently. they should just try and survive next fifteen overs

Typical Pakistani fan knee jerk! Afridi would not lay bat to ball on a swinging pitch!He is a liability!!!
 
I would get Azhar Ali in this team as a stabalising opener. We need someone to anchor the innings from the top. By the time Misbah comes in, it's too late.
 
If Ireland can keep up these performances, they should get Test status.

Sterling, Joyce and K.O'brien look class. Other batsmen like N.O'brien, Wilson are also pretty decent.

Their bowling also seems to be better than Zimbos and Banglas who are also loaded with trundlers.
 
I think its all over for Pak, but good practise for them. Only team which got plenty of time to acclimatize.. but i dont think pitches in england are as green as these ireland wickets
 
Pakistan fans will do well do understand the importance of Misbah ul Haq in their line up.
 
The thing is our batsman hate to graft for an inning which is the essence of batting!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not that green. This isn't a nightmare pitch. It's just doing a tiny bit. All Ireland are doing is bowling with a little discipline. Asad did the same, Junaid did to an extent and was unlucky with the huge number of edges.

Wahab bowled some trash, and I mean some real trash. Looked more like Mohammed Sami than the wonderful bowler who got a five wicket haul at Lords on debut. Malik wasn't a great back up bowler to be honest.

Agreed, been a big fan of ireland for years. Do well in the limited opportunities they get. Batsmen you quoted are decent, plus i think murtagh and johnston are good. Impressed with this Murtagh guy. I am told he had a fantastic county season.

Ireland will upset major nations and beat B'desh and W'indies IMO

You are being influenced by the pathetic display of batting from the Pakistani top order. Ireland are a decent associate side but nothing more.

On Pakistan's day, they would crumble to club bowling. Nothing much can be read into Ireland's quality on this basis. Now if they did this against South Africa, that would be an entirely different story.
