One doesn't have to watch any matches. You can just watch highlights on YouTube at fraction of the time. That is why I think sports in general are way overvalued.Well it feels less Fresh but it's still enjoyable. One doesn't have to watch all the matches. Especially towards the end of the league, it gets super exciting
Well Sport is really about those ups and downs in real time ..mimicking our lives.. the momentum swings, the nervous stretches, the moments where nothing happens but everything feels like it might. That uncertainty is the most enjoyable part, isn't it? By the time highlight video rolls, the uncertainty is already gone. One doesn't have to watch any matches. You can just watch highlights on YouTube at fraction of the time. That is why I think sports in general are way overvalued.
I have read that the Aussie players have shown up half interested and unfit, unable to fulfil their contracted roles.Best IPL league in the world by far but the only thing that continues to pull it down and would never allow it to be somethign spectacular is the fact that all the international players are still mercenaries playing multiple leagues during the year.
IPL needs to start paying more and ask for exclusivity on talent.
Too much cricket being played now. The bcci will still thrive because IPL is the primetime revenue raiser.Unfortunately for the sore losers, IPL is an Indian league created for Indian fans. It's Indian fans who will decide whether it's boring or not. And we all know where IPL stands now after it's inception in 2008.
Remember, a cow doesn't die by the curse of a crow (an Indian saying).
Think the time is fast coming when bcci decides to allow their T20 cricketers to participate in foreign leagues.Best IPL league in the world by far but the only thing that continues to pull it down and would never allow it to be somethign spectacular is the fact that all the international players are still mercenaries playing multiple leagues during the year.

THREAD IS NOT ABOUT MODI AND SANGHI STUFF...
PLEASE
Firstly, congratulations on the global relevance. The ex-sons of ancient Bharat indeed have achieved this feat that makes us true borns hang our heads in shame. It's embarassing for us, but we respect the hustle. My reply to Deadly bhai was genuine though.
Now that PM Modi has been excused by greater powers as India is not deemed important to be on the table for major heopolitical discussions, he has a lot of free time and can fully focus on IPL. This is for the betterment of Indian cricket and i am sure our Indian friends here can agree.

Maybe they need to replicate what Fakhar Zaman did in the PSL recently to gain some personality.I think IPL became very garbage after 2014 (when many of the legendary players retired/declined --> Gilchrist, Ponting, Tendulkar, Kallis, Graeme Smith, Dilshan, Gayle, Sanga, Mahela, McCullum etc.).
The new guys can hit sixes but they are like robots. Zero personality.
Anyway, I have never liked T20, IPL, or any other T20 league. This is Mickey Mouse cricket. I only prefer Test and ODI.![]()
