One doesn't have to watch any matches. You can just watch highlights on YouTube at fraction of the time. That is why I think sports in general are way overvalued.Well it feels less Fresh but it's still enjoyable. One doesn't have to watch all the matches. Especially towards the end of the league, it gets super exciting
Well Sport is really about those ups and downs in real time ..mimicking our lives.. the momentum swings, the nervous stretches, the moments where nothing happens but everything feels like it might. That uncertainty is the most enjoyable part, isn't it? By the time highlight video rolls, the uncertainty is already gone. One doesn't have to watch any matches. You can just watch highlights on YouTube at fraction of the time. That is why I think sports in general are way overvalued.
I have read that the Aussie players have shown up half interested and unfit, unable to fulfil their contracted roles.Best IPL league in the world by far but the only thing that continues to pull it down and would never allow it to be somethign spectacular is the fact that all the international players are still mercenaries playing multiple leagues during the year.
IPL needs to start paying more and ask for exclusivity on talent.
Too much cricket being played now. The bcci will still thrive because IPL is the primetime revenue raiser.Unfortunately for the sore losers, IPL is an Indian league created for Indian fans. It's Indian fans who will decide whether it's boring or not. And we all know where IPL stands now after it's inception in 2008.
Remember, a cow doesn't die by the curse of a crow (an Indian saying).
Think the time is fast coming when bcci decides to allow their T20 cricketers to participate in foreign leagues.Best IPL league in the world by far but the only thing that continues to pull it down and would never allow it to be somethign spectacular is the fact that all the international players are still mercenaries playing multiple leagues during the year.

THREAD IS NOT ABOUT MODI AND SANGHI STUFF...
PLEASE
Firstly, congratulations on the global relevance. The ex-sons of ancient Bharat indeed have achieved this feat that makes us true borns hang our heads in shame. It's embarassing for us, but we respect the hustle. My reply to Deadly bhai was genuine though.
Now that PM Modi has been excused by greater powers as India is not deemed important to be on the table for major heopolitical discussions, he has a lot of free time and can fully focus on IPL. This is for the betterment of Indian cricket and i am sure our Indian friends here can agree.

Maybe they need to replicate what Fakhar Zaman did in the PSL recently to gain some personality.I think IPL became very garbage after 2014 (when many of the legendary players retired/declined --> Gilchrist, Ponting, Tendulkar, Kallis, Graeme Smith, Dilshan, Gayle, Sanga, Mahela, McCullum etc.).
The new guys can hit sixes but they are like robots. Zero personality.
Anyway, I have never liked T20, IPL, or any other T20 league. This is Mickey Mouse cricket. I only prefer Test and ODI.![]()
If you could share the source where you came across this irreplaceable invaluable nugget of ilm - along with empirical measurable quantifiable analytical evidences & proof - two objectives can be achievedI have read that the Aussie players have shown up half interested and unfit, unable to fulfil their contracted roles.
I hope PM Modi has taken notice.
As boring as winning back to back world cups![]()

Cooper Connolly and Cameron Green selected as all rounder have been informed by CA they are not to bowl.If you could share the source where you came across this irreplaceable invaluable nugget of ilm - along with empirical measurable quantifiable analytical evidences & proof - two objectives can be achieved
A) we can identify probably the first job in the world -which is played out in full public view, where the management is least/not at all bothered with return on investments
B) Australian board can use the same metrics to see & compare their players performance in the IPL with their performance in the BBL as well as international cricket. They will then encourage more of their domestic/u-19 players to take their 'paid vacation/honeymoon' in the IPL, lesser selection meetings & headaches for them& imagine the player pool they will be building.

So injuries cannot happen to anyone?Cooper Connolly and Cameron Green selected as all rounder have been informed by CA they are not to bowl.
Hazlewood unable to bowl.
Cummins likely injured.
Much of this furore has been reported in Indian media. Even one of the IPL captions questions the Australian board.
I was replying to an Indian poster who mentioned that the foreign players are mercenary and the IPl owners should contract them for a full year and the post should be read in that context. So injuries cannot happen to anyone?
& By your reckoning if hazleewood cannot bowl - you think he will be selected in the first XI based on his batting abilities, bartting pedigree, talent, run making, shot making calibre?
The same for cummins?
& As per u Those facts dilutes the IPL because people who can't perform their primary job expertise / core competencies will still get a gig/game?
You think the IPL team owners, coaching staff , investors would be blind & not recognize if someone is 'rorting' the system....ie like indian sarkari employees of the 80's & 90's who got paid for putting their bscksides on a particular seat day in & out- no one questions their outputs & get time based promotions?
I usually watch the season start and then zone out till the end when play off scenarios start.I’ve watched maybe 10 games of IPL since it started. Just couldn’t get into it.
But as an Indian fan I’m proud of what we built, appreciate its contribution to Indian cricket, and hope the IPL only gets stronger.
Still won’t watch it though.
Even this current game - CSK vs PBKS is:
Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggg
its mainly due to thrs no contest between bat and ball, you cant tell if a fast bowler has actually bowled well
im falling asleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep

spot onThey should just use bowling machines.
Why overwork bowlers like donkeys?![]()
spot on
honestly when a fast bowlers bowls, ball barely move more than a inch - that aint hard to hit for a boundary, especially when most pitches are around 65metres long = smaller than my secondary (high) school pitch = embarrasing
when you have indian players with physiques like Ajinkya Rahane - it makes you wonder, are the boundaries small for this reason
what do yu think:

They are historically terrible. India on the other hand has the widest range of pitches. To make matter worse PSL plays matches on just two grounds. SO it is even worse. Ball hardly rises above the knee. All sloggers can enjoy this. And how are the PSL pitches any better ?
yet again another indian who partly said SOME ACCURACIES, but then at the end of his opinion (fell apart) - can you please prove thisI checked PSL boundary. i think woman's cricket matches have longer boundary lol Still you have saudh shakeel, Babar, rizwan, labu all playing. These guys won't feature even in 5th Indian T20 team lol
yet no proof to back this - india has widest range of pitches = you mean your clubs literally have no money for a groundsman (hence bcci claims on its $$$ they generate + own are all lies) so team just play on itThey are historically terrible. That list is very very long lol let me make that clear. there is not a single pakistan player who would wlak into 2nd or 3rd XI of most internationals teams.yet again another indian who partly said SOME ACCURACIES, but then at the end of his opinion (fell apart) - can you please prove this
i dont rate babar / rizwan in t20's - never have = so your opinion then hurt yourself as you added the opposite thinking i was

Dude Cricviz generated a report on pitches on all countries. Pakistan is certifially has the lowest bounce. If you get bounced out by Nahid rana at mirpur imagine their game against bounceyet no proof to back this - india has widest range of pitches = you mean your clubs literally have no money for a groundsman (hence bcci claims on its $$$ they generate + own are all lies) so team just play on it

IPL is an Indian product made for only Indian fans to watch and comment on it...... The same Indians who troll and destroy PSL and Pakistan....... while fans from Pakistan should not be allowed to be critical of IPL.![]()

And you guys still need bcci money for your board to function. These low-IQ sanghis need to understand we don't need permissions from them to criticize India or IPL.
IPL is rubbish. That's a fact.
And on what tangible metric are you stating that fact on? Or are you selling your hopes and dreams as facts. These low-IQ sanghis need to understand we don't need permissions from them to criticize India or IPL.
