Karachi 1 and 2 will play the final. Kings will win this easy. I don't know was it because of captaincy or management but Karachi players dont seem to have the same atmosphere between players that you have with other teams.

Well I don't think changing captain on the eve of match will help the team in any way... Just imagine if Karachi goes on to win PSL from here all the blame of previous matches would be just put on Malik.. and it would be a bitter pill for Malik to swallow.. In my view, this decision of Malik has affected the unity of team - and only individual brilliance can take them through final..

With captaincy burden, I suppose Bopara will fail and he has been strong pillar for khi in the tournament..

It will be hard for Islamabad to choose 4 overseas players.

One from Mahmood, Smith, Russel and Badree will have to sit out

1) Smith
2) Sharjeel
3) Haddin
4) Khalid Latif
5) Misbah
6) Russel
7) Mahmood
8) Imran Khalid
9) Sami
10) Ajmal
11) Rumman Raees
 
Misbah should not play today otherwise he will be at risk of exacerbating his injury further.

Babar Azam must play today.

Russell is also 60 % fit so don't know whether he will last four overs or Islamabad will suffer.
 
Final is expected to be a full house almost all tickets already sold and it's on tuesday!

This is amazing in UAE and that too for a venue like Dubai. We should be thankful to all those fans coming to watch PSL there to make it successful

Apparently, he has a bruised arm. Not sure how bad the injury is, but it's bad enough to keep him out of the playing XI.

It was great yesterday tbh to see the stadium full happens only in UK nowadays for Pakistan cricket team and Dubai is usually boring except yesterday great match too.
Like yesterday more than the recent Zim tour coz its competitive as well.

Yea bro Zalmi matches are getting the best crowd because of the pathan and afridi factor otherwise Dubai is no comparison with Sharjah when it comes to crowd attendance. The 2 full stadiums both happened in Zalmi matches.

The winner of todays final.. will face zalmi in the 3rd qualifier to see who goes into the finals?
what happens to the loser of todays game? are they knocked out?
if thats the case then why did zalmi get a lifeline being the loser of the first qualifier, but the loser of todays qualiifier gets knocked out

True plus the new QG vs PZ rivalry in PSL is bigger than Karachi vs Lahore one for me , courtesy Wahab Shezzi Lala :P

Yup if i'm not wrong they are knocked out,the advantage of top 2 is that u get 2 chances to qualify for final.

Today's loser will be back to home. Winner will play with Zalmi as a Semi Final you can say. Top 2 teams get's advantage of this, and it's fair i guess.

Yesterday was qualifier 1 and today is eliminator. The loser of qualifier 1 get a chance to play qualifier 2 against the winner of eliminator while the loser of eliminator is out of the race. Top 2 from points tables play qualifier 1 while 3rd and 4th play eliminator to win it and play for qualifier 2 against loser of qualifier 1.

shouldve done straight up knock out, makes it more exciting

haha yea but tbh the record tv ratings came in both lahore vs karachi matches but im not sure what was tv rivalry of yesterday match after this new rivalry started.

btw i am a supporter of Quetta the under dogs from day 1 :yk

I remember watching it in IPL too i think this is good because you are on top of the table and 1 match throw you out doesn't make sense while the one who won only 2 matches in round 1 endup playing final.

Yea that's a Pakistani thing from a neutral perspective QG vs PZ is amazing and I'm supporting IU hope they win knock out Bopara :steyn

the advantage of finishing first is that you get to vs the 4th team
and 2nd gets to vs the 3rd team

i just think with knockout like that, any team has the potential to win the league which is why the knock out becomes so intense

T20 is too much about the particular day and i think top 4 teams are more or less equal.

I am a Punjabi living in Punjab and Islamabad is just 1 hour and 45 minutes drive from me Peshawar is 1 and a half hour drive from me and Lahore around 6 and a half hour drive but i am supporting Quetta and Quetta is like 15 hours drive from my city :yk i just love backing under dogs in any competition so i supported Quetta when nobody was giving them a chance.

When they took Shehzad they were not underdogs for me :ahmed although i must say IU matches are not that great compared to other teams :P

Quetta deserves all the praise for sticking to their plan in the draft. IIRC, their main focus was on choosing many players from their own domestic team. They are like RR in the IPL. The whole is always greater than the sum of parts with teams like these that always punch above their weight. I wish they win the PSL this year.
 
Can somebody tell me if Azhar Mahmood and Ashar Zaide are considered Foreign players or Domestic Players?

yea most of them liek safraz, anwar, akbar, asad all play for same club of omar associates in karachi (omar associates own quetta team in psl) they played beautifully and never saw them panic even during the situations where others team were dominating them in some overs. They also made sure to pick in form overseas players like KP, Luke, Sanga, Nabi instead of just falling for big names. KP and Sanga are both big match players every team will love to have them.

Yes they have dual nationality but both of them have not played domestic cricket in pakistan for some years now so they were considered overseas for that matter.

The only reason why i want Karachi to lose is to see the reaction of those ARY nutjobs after the match.
