Haha actually people want to do some pre game discussion, so i guess it's better idea to make thread earlier so people may discuss all stuff in one, and am passionate towards Pakistan' cricket and you know it :).
 
There are many players to watch from both sides, but i am looking for Mohammad Abbas and Azzizullah (bowlers)
 
The ones to watch out for are:
Federal
Hassan Ali, Mohammad Abbas and Shadab Khan
KPK
Azizullah, Fahim Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman and Sameen Gul
 
i am interested in Fakhar Zaman and M.abbas huge opportunity for both of them both of them are domestic top performer
 
Interested to watch Sharjeek, Fakhar, Asghar, Hassan, Rahat and Yasir (lets see if he can bowl well in a One Day game for a change) I want Shehzad to fail in this tournament badly so he doesnt lose us any more international games

Those are who I'm looking forward to watching personally. I'm not too concerned with fast bowlers in this tournament because they swing these domestic balls miles but the kookaburra (If I'm not mistaken) in Internationals makes them look like trundlers. Usman Shinwari being a perfect example of this. :bhatti
 
Nasir Jamshed is being ignored on PP but I personally believe he still has a lot to give to us.
 
The contrast between the top 4 couldn't be greater.
On potential it's a Ferrari vs a tricycle
 
Really hope Shehzad doesnt get to double digits so we wont have to suffer through seeing him in more international games
 
shezad has to hit a few big hundreds in this tournie. and good hundreds not selfish tuk tuk's.
 
Shehzad looking ugly as usual but he often bullies in domestic. International bowlers know his limited game inside out
 
Another good looking shot from Fakhar for no run. Aready looking better than dot ball king
 
Impressed by Fakhar already lets see if he values his wicket. Just want Shehzad to get out early for the betterment of out ODI team so he doesnt get selected
 
I think players who have played international cricket for Pakistan should be judged to a higher standard in these tournaments. Shehzad should be scoring at run-a-ball throughout his innings and should accelerate to finish with a strike over a 100. Anything less than that should be discounted.

Shehzad playing dots and almost got his partner run out. He cant take genuine singles so all he can do is block and run
 
Like the boys dynamism but he crouches a bit too low for my liking.

Talking about Fakhar.
 
Of the 4 players on show so far - Irfan, Sami, Shehzad and Fakhar - I am interested only in one of them. I suspect that is the case for most.

We know what Irfan, Sami and Shehzad can do. Not exciting.

Fakhar has an average of 53. That is quite something.
 
Irfan is a brainless bowler unfortunately. Shame he played instead of Hassan. This guy has absolutely nothing but height

Agreed, he gets far too low. It's something that will hold him back in bouncier conditions, and he may be found wanting against the shorter stuff. He's gotta stand up against the pacers more.

i know his lack of pedigree, but this is the kind of stuff I hope our selectors will look at context as well. Shehzad might well get runs in this match for example, but the reason he has been dropped/should be dropped is because of how he kills momentum at the top of the innings. So regardless of how many runs he scores, what should matter to the selector is whether he has fixed his core issue: lack of rotation or intent at the beginning of his innings.
 
PCB should fire the domestic coaches. Is there no batsman in Pakistan who knows how to play with soft hands?

hes a bit unbalanced. his feet look stuck. I think he has to change this very quickly

Yeah, he's unbalanced because of how low his stance is. To play pacers with that stance he needs to spring up, which is what causes his loss of balance. Foot movement doesn't look horrible, but I need to see more of him.
 
People including me wants shehzad to fail desperately but I think he is here to stay
 
So far Fakhar looks solid when it's pitched up, but his back foot game is a little shaky.
