Rizvi can't really disassociate himself since he incites violence in almost all his speeches.

I don't even think he is that politically active as i haven't seen/heard about any political jalsa but i don't think his group will survive for too long beyond these elections. I personally don't think attacking such a group with force will resolve the issue.

Agree, the chickens have come home to roost. The strategy of non-confrontation and appeasement of such groups started with Bhutto and every civilian govt. since then have been playing safe. Still, the ultimate creation and influence of such entities is being controlled by the holiest of all power brokers of our country. The responsibility however, lies with all.

You can blame the Army for supporting Deobandi and Ahl e Hadees school of thought but they always ignored Bralevis (the biggest sect of pakistan) and this is the rise of Bralevis that started with Mumtaz Qadri movement when brlaevis were taken for granted and always portrayed ss halwe waale movis. Army was on board to hang Mumtaz Qadri and his funeral wasn't given any coverage in media so not all of us had any idea what was coming up and how much support this movement had but now we are all caught in a shock the big support was there and this time it wasn't engineered by the GHQ.

Yes masoom bachay holding toy guns were butchered by evil security forces in lal masjid. I am not a huge fan of Sheikh Rasheed but his life was made hell by the same people using the religion card. I still think PTI shouldn't allow it's platform to be used by Sheikh Rasheed to take revenge from them though.

What is quite shocking is that Nawaz Sharif did not even consider this issue important enough to mention in his jalsa at Jehlum? How can he forget to even mention the incident that was talking point of every talkshow and news headlines??
