All three are right arm bowlers, and are of similar age(early twenties).

Rabada averages 26 @ 5.05

Did well in bilaterals, but flopped big time at the CT.

Ranked 4.

Hassan averages 20.2 @ 5.15.

Did reasonably well in the bilaterals, but CT has been his breakthrough tournament. Unstoppable since then.

Ranked 1.

Bumrah averages 20.85 @ 4.81.

Did well in the bilaterals, and also at the CT(apart from finals).

Ranked 6.

In next two years, who will be the leading pacer? Who will set the world on fire?

Batsmen win you the games, while bowlers win you tournaments.

Can Rabada win the first title for SA in 2019? (WC 19 is their best bet, after that all seniors would retire)

Or Would Hassan rewrite the history once again?

Or will it be Bumrah to revenge the No ball bowled at the CT final?

Lots of cricket to be played, let's see who overtakes whom.

Hasan>Rabada>Bumrah
All three of them are very different and useful. With Hasan you get accuracy, pace, varitions and well basically he is a captains go to bowler. Rabada is a serious talent but he is been struggling to find the form and thus not taking wickets.Bumrah is the kind of pacer Ind were looking for a long time,he is fantastic at bowling the Yorkers and deceiving the batsman. He has increased his pace too so he has a bright future for sure. The only thing I would like to see from Bumrah is to take wickets with the new ball.He has the tendency to concede runs in his first spell and then come back stronger at the death and take wickets

In ODIs Ali>KG>JB.

In tests it's a no contest. KG is the most promising young quick in the world.

Rabada will outbowl both of them over the career.

Rabada is a serious talent and best pacer going around after Starc.

Hasan Ali is an attacking bowler while Bumrah is a defensive bowler. Hasan has priority to take wickets, Bumrah's priority to keep runs down. An attacking wicket taking bowler anyday over a defensive bowler.

Hasan will win Pak a world cup while Kagiso will end up as a statistcally better bowler like Amla is

I know Rabadas stats lately have been good but his action is lacking rhythm and his seam position has been inconsistent.

Holding v Marshall will be a great battle for years to come given they stay healthy. Marshall needs to start opening though.

Kagiso is better in tests whereas hasan is obviously better in odis and no need to mention that ugly action bumrah he is nowhere near near them.

The comparison will become more valid if and when Hassan starts bowling with the new ball on a regular basis. In the middle overs he is the best in the world.

Rabada I think will have the most illustrious career overall i.e in Tests plus ODIs. Hassan has yet to prove himself in Tests whereas Rabada has some amazing performances in the format.

Bumrah is a very good ODI bowler but Hassan in his short has been simply phenomenal making any talks of a comparison ridiculous. Hassan has performed overseas against strong oppositions and has been the stand out performer in an ICC tournament. If Hassan's performance ever goes down from the current level the comparison will start to hold more merit.

Rabada may performed poorly in CT but he has proved his worth in Test ODI and T20

Hasaan good in ODI and T20 yet to prove himself in Tests

Bumrah ( i dont recall if he has made his test debut or kholi will give him a chance) probably best death bowler going around.Hope I m wrong but bowlers with his kind of action are prone to injury and lifespan of a Indian bowler is limited.

Is OP Indian by any chance?

He says Hasan Ali "did reasonably well in the bilaterals" before the CT.

Here are the facts- top wicket taker in ODIs every time:

Series v SL: 14 wkts
ICC CT: 13 wkts
Series vs WI: 6 wkts
Series v Aus: 12 wkts
Series v Eng: 8 wkts

Rabada and Hasan Ali are well ahead of Bumrah. Don't put Bumrah in the same discussion at them.

Lol a true Bumrah. It's gonna be close between Rabada and Hassan in Tests. In ODIs it's Hassan

Hasan Ali is better than both of them and will end up as the best pacer from Pakistan after Wasim and Waqar

UNLESS he gets injured etc

Hasan Ali at the moment but Rabada has been brilliant for SA.

Rabada will have a long career like Ntini. I just love the way he bowls. Not sure about the other 2.

Lol slipping Bumrah in a comparison between two absolute beast fast bowlers :)) :))

Rabada will probably have better test stats while Hassan will take the lead in ODIs....

You mean the bowler who gave 100 runs in 9 overs in a match on a bouncier pitch?

Murali got smashed for 99 in 10 overs, Your point is?

No, what I meant was that both Rabada and Hasan are better than a bloke who lost his marbles at the biggest stage, choked by bowling a decisive no ball and has an action uglier than Paul Adams.....

You wanna continue playing this game?? (And ohh BTW, Hasan has better stats - if you were just in case wondering :P)

Sample for all of them is way too small. They all had good streak in their own way. Basically in terms of pure ability variety Rabada looks well above the rest. Shami couple of years back was bowling like a dream with reversing the ball at will. He bowled better than any of these 3. Injuries ruined his career. But in terms of ability, variety Rabada looks well above the two.

Some hilarious posts regarding Bumrah by the usual suspects, exhibiting their ignorance and bias as usual.

Rabada and Bumrah are both elite and at the same level. Hasan is levels below them. Just an okay bowler who had a great purple patch.

Bumrah has worked hard since then and become much better and respected, hopefully the posters will reconsider their position.

Anyone who's not Indian will say Hasan and Rabada are both comfortably better than no-ball.

Cummins is thrice the bowler Bumrah is.

Bumrah is better than Rabada in ODIs, though Rabada is probably the better test bowler currently.
Yup, bumrah is the better odi bowler.

He has the ability to give a good competition to rabada in tests also, lets see how he performs in the subcontinent.

What's the point of quoting old posts?

This thread was started a few months after the CT final and Hasan was doing very well at the time.

Ask anyone now and they'll agree that Rabada and Bumrah are way ahead at this point.

Why not? It was a bit of fun back then, it's still fun now. :)

it is funny that after couple of bad series Hasan ali still edges bumrah in odis with most wicket overall:)) .

All three bowlers have a long career ahead of them. They'll have their ups and downs.

Rabada is just ridiculous, almost 300 international wickets in just around 4 years.

I just want to see good bowlers, both fast bowlers and spinners, in international cricket. Of course I'd prefer my team to develop the best of such bowlers :D

But seriously, I don't mind which nation they come from. All I want to see is good bowlers. After watching the legendary bowlers of the 90's, I was sick to death watching the next generation of fast bowlers that came after them. I'm glad that bowling standards have improved since then.

I have kept a lot of hope on Hasan Ali after I watched him in the last CT. My eyes lit up watching him in that tournament. All I want is him to keep developing further. I'll never wish for a bowler to go astray just because he belongs to a rival team.

Bumrah is the best bowler in world Cricket, Rabada is struggling for rhythm and isn't bowling well. Hasan is decent.

No. Bumrah is not the best. Top ten yes.

Then who is the best on current form (in tests and ODIs)? Bumrah averaged 21 in tests in 2018, touring SA, England, and Australia. And 16 in ODIs despite being rested for some of the matches.

I don't think that Rabada is that great of a LOI bowler. Boult, Starc and Bumrah are all better than him in LOI.

All round, all format bumrah has been the best Bowler.
Up front he can contain and at the death overs batsmen Struggle to hit him

1. Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels reconciling and burying their differences.

2. An Indian fast bowler among the best fast bowlers of his time.

3. India having one of the best bowling unit at any time.

Agar yeh 3 cheez ho sakta hain, anything is possible. Ask us Indian fans how frustrated we have been with our fast bowlers since the 90's till until a few years ago. We'll be able to give you guys a proper definition of the word frustration.

In Tests it's Rabada. He's no.1 for a reason. In odis, Hasan ali and Bumrah have very similar stats. Hasan ali is just going through a bad phase. But currently, Bumrahbis performing better.

Lol at a few posts above about "beast" Hassan Ali and average Bumrah. :vk2

Time for humble pies.

Rabada>bumrah>hassan.

Ever heard of the saying "Times change"?

Ever heard of the saying "Times change"?

Calling Hasan better than Bumrah was not an issue. He was going through a serious purple patch and it is understandable if some got carried away.

However, mocking Bumrah and calling him mediocre was uncalled for. His ability as a fast bowler was very clear by the time this thread was made.

People were still intoxicated by the no ball in the final.

Bumrah is a special bowler. I will admit I may have been wrong on him.

Special? Yes.

But Rabada is still more special.

Hassan Ali has had a bad year. But I will stick with my opinion that Hassan Ali is still a very good bowler and over a full career he will not finish far behind Bumrah. Though Rabada will hopefully finish an ATG. I don’t think either Bumrah or Rabada are ATG material yet. They might prove me wrong, but we cannot call them ATG material after 1 year of test cricket (and on and off for Hassan Ali).

Lol when did i say Rabada isn't better ?

Bumrah is catching up fast in tests. However Rabada has been very disappointing in ODIs. His ranking flatters him really.

Yup Despite having had a chance to do well on helpful bouncy wickets. Interestingly against Asian sides his ODI records are not that stellar except Bangladesh.
