Match Ka Mujrim (bechara) Thread

Hafeez and Rafa are to blame for the loss we were 51/1 after 5 overs and then we started to play spinners like there were jim laker and shane warne! all momentum lost after a rollicking start!
 
Drop catch by Tanvir and thanks to Sarfraz, am tired of crying that he should be rested for this T20I series but...........
 
Only wahab and tanveer to blame. Had they bowl sensibily, eng wontvmake 170. Heck wahab was toyed by truldlers in last over.

Andvl of course all batsmen who didnt stay on wickets.
 
Certainly Tanveer is `Match ka Mujrim` today. Gave away 28 runs in his last two and also dropped 2 catch.

Getting to selfish. You are not suppose to swing at every damn ball when you have got 2 overs to go and a tail of batting left

He should had played till the end, and made sure Pakistan won, but he did what he usually does and swings at everything and throws away his wicket at a crucial moment.

In the last over 7 runs were only scored, wouldn't it been different had afridi lasted? But nope had to throw his wicket away.

You can't take the game to the last over without swinging your bat when you need more than 12 runs per over.
 
Sohaib Maqsood ... Looked like a 12 year old against Rashid. Killed the game with his dismissal
 
It wasnt a bad match to lose, no need to witch hunt in this match.
This match only has heros, no mujrims. Cut your guys some slack

Yes he throws his wicket away when he is set, more often than not.

However, there is a severe lack of class in this team.

Guys like maqsood, rafatullah, and sarfraz throw away their wickets AND look classless (like they don't belond in international LOIs).

Id rather have mohammad hafeez who makes a classy 25 and throws away his wicket than sarfraz who makes a really scratchy 19 and then throws away his wicket.

That's the problem. Whenever we get off to a good start, our players waste the middle overs and put to much pressure on our hitters in the final 5 overs.

Classy players don't win T20s. We need explosive hacks from 1-10.
 
Maqsood-Sarfraz-Hafeez-Rafatullah-Tanvir need to be dropped, don't care if it's half the team, it needs to happen. Maqsood is slogging to hard, Hafeez tuk tuked and broke the momentum, Sarfraz became predictable and only sweeped, Rafatullah didn't know what he was doing, and Tanvir had the worst game of his life in a 3 departments.

Umpire's decision was a big blow, Umar Akmal with Afridi would be a much better situation imo.

you already got 22 runs in that over......

Last over 11 were needed and only 7 runs were scored, so it could had made a difference had he played till the end

We had hacks like Rafatullah and Maqsood, heck even Sarfraz was hacking at it with some ugly sweeps/slogs, and what did they do?

Only one who did well slogging was Afridi (and Shehzad, had protein or something) but that is Afridi. Shehzad seemed to have a special day alongside Lala but Afridi can always do these type of things, the time period it lasts though can be very short.

Ideally you'd want hacks who can connect the ball.

well we dont have explosive hacks either. Hacks have a certain method to their game too. Our players just go out there and swing their bats like x calivers hoping to connect.
 
Hafeez needs to start manning up and opening again, while hes batting at 3 we keep picking useless openers who cant score quickly enough.

Scorecard doesn't tell the real story, Umar Akmal wasn't even out, while Maqsood on the other hand was an embarrassment in both games.
 
TBH ,any domestic team of Quaid-e-Azam would out perform this club level team . Other than Umer akmal none merit a place in this team . Plain embarrassment for the nation courtesy PCB and its clown selection committee
 
Please kick out this Maqsood guy .. He is just a hack & a real bad one too .. Just doesnt know what he's doing ... Remember him getting bowled in a similar manner by Maxwell of all the bowlers in a T20 against Aussies !
I think the reason for out defeat today was also our batting order ... Afridi should have come up in place of Sarfaraz & the latter should have been sent when the spinners were operating ... It was left too late for Afridi !
 
Ahmed Shehzad, Hafeez, and Maqsood are perennial match ke mujrims. Yet they still find their way in the team.
 
Wahab tops the list alongside Azhar Ali.

Didn't really expect anything from Maqsood or Shehzad to start with.
 
Professor for his dropped catch and then getting out to a part-timer when set followed closely by Azhar.
 
Maqsood and Shehzad need to go. Enough chances have been given to either of them.

Wahab, Anwar Ali, Imad Wasim, Azhar, Shehzad, and Maqsood. 6 bloody players.
 
Number 1 culprit today was Hafeez.

Missed a simple catch of a guy who went on to score 80 odd.

Also while batting gave away his wicket like an amateur even though he is the most experienced and senioer member of the team.

Some honorable mentions are azhar ali, maqsood, shehzad, wahab.
 
Maqsood, Shehzad, Anwar and Sarfraz are resident mujrims these days. At least Malik will replace Maqsood, but for how long will the useless trio get a free ride.

2) Mohammad Sami for some atrocious fielding and equally bad bowling, giving no-balls when the match was in the balance
3) Afridi's batting and captaincy (might be a candidate for number 1 actually).
4) Anwar Ali for dishing out pies.

Amir was exceptional. Irfan was average. Shoaib and Sarfraz were decent by Pakistani standards.

Forgot to mention Akmal. The rest is fine.
 
Batting is definitely the biggest culprit, Sarfraz and Malik showed that it wasn't difficult to score runs if you got your eye in but Sharjeel and Junior Akmal in particular threw their wickets away like idiots.
 
To me its Lala, not only he captained bad but he didnt do anything with bat. It was a perfect setting for him to do 8 ball 20 or something like this but he played two full tosses and bottled in both of them

and yes, chota akmal, he played like a 10th man. mental midget

I thought it would be more efficient mentioning players that seem to be failing every match rather than focusing on Umar akmal who at least won us the last match from a tough situation.

It is sharjeel, Khurram, Hafeez, and Afridi from our batsmen that failed spectacularly in all three previous matches.
 
Mujrim number 1 Umar Akmal

He failed in 2 games we lost the game.

He scored in 1 game we won that game.


Doesn't he know the 5 Bradman's we are carrying in our side ? Than what was the need to go for that expensive risky shot over extra cover ?


Mujrim number 2 (Sharjeel,Khurram & Sami fielders) leaked 10 runs in field


Mujrim number 3 Sami

Fine execution of length and line in 19th over but boy 2 no balls in age in 19th over in age of Free hits. That was huge. Horrible stuff.


Mujrim 4 Anwar Ali conceded 25 runs in 13 balls.


Baaqi batsman k mutaliq kya bolun ? Sharjeel, Khurram, Afridi & Anwar Ali were terrible indeed. Malik only batted as per need of team and Sarfraz was very good but could have been excellent had he scored at a SR of 15 points more.

Virat Kohli - he didn't loft 1 to long-off's throat, when Afridi was bowling to him 90km half-volleys with 9 men on line - 4 on inner & 5 outer circle.
 
The Pakistani fans.

For actually backing a failure like Afridi for 20 years. Every time he was dropped, they did not let the new guy settle in and kept crying for Lala to be the savior. Now, they are reaping the reward and Afridi is the gift that keeps on giving.

I guess they are still in hangover from 2015 Australia WC. Someone should break a pot on their head and tell them we are playing in India where the ball spins and turns. Playing 4 pacers :facepalm:
 
Has to be shehzad. Latif was expected to play crap! Shehzad didn't know what he was doing and wasted 7 overs after the 1st wicket

After 16 overs NEWZ 135 for 4 and Pak 129 for 4, After this Amir came and gave away 30 runs in last 2 overs

What an innings by U. Akmal, did'nt play a single shot and preessurized the other 2 batsmen [Shehzad, Afridi] to geto out playing shots, lost Pakistan the game but made 22. This is why Pakistan is wwhere it iss this guy will still play. His innings reminded me of Misbah @ same Mohali in WC 2011 semi-final selfish and wasteful

Amir was quite terrible and predictable today. Irfan was another bowler, he has the height and body, built like Tarzan but bowls like Jane. Bowling wise Amir and Irfan.

Batting wise Shezzy/ Malik and Akmal, seemed like they were playing for a loss.
